It was a system that despite its short shelf life, really deserved better, much like the Dreamcast. It's a system where 70% of its library is still untranslated thanks to Sega of America being fricking morons where they wanted to kill it off to try to get a leg over Sega of Japan and let it die in the West from zero marketing. It was better than both the PS1 and N64 at doing 2D, excluding awful ports like SotN, but even while it lagged behind in 3D, it could even do impressive stuff like the unreleased Shenmue build for Saturn.
Sega Saturn game also have the best vidya cases outside of Japan. Big israeliteel cases will never not look cool.
It was a giant piece of shit because of its ridiculous kludgy hardware design that drove away developers and cut into sega's margins while still not being good for 3D games. This was after making the disastrous split mega drive/sega cd/32x platform. This was when they omitted suicide as a company, failing to dig themselves out of the hole with the saturn. By the time Dreamcast came out it was too late for them, they had no capital to even manufacture the consoles that people wanted to buy.
While we might like those awesome 2D games, 3D was still important at the time. There were no important or influential 3D saturn games. The best 3D games were inferior ports of arcade games. Even panzer dragoon was just an on-rails shooter that looked kinda cool.
It's also underrated because of all those cool 2D and jap exclusive games in older genres. They would've never brought worldwide success but I like them.
The Saturn was based as frick and has a ton of amazing games. Anyone who says it doesn't have any good games is too afraid to try a game that isn't from a franchise they already know.
>no analog sticks
its immediately shit.
>cute controller
mmm, I want one now.
obvious Dreamcast lineage
glad we can agree the PS1 was shit as well
Wonderful for arcade ports and just about everything 2D. Shit for mostly everything else.
It was a huge piece of shit like every thing else sega has ever made.
>seething 45 year old nintard.
>enraged sonicautist furgay
I win
I hate furgays and never cared for sonic tbh
So what is there even left?
Now that the dust has settled, is australia kun just mentally deranged or just a giant homosexual?
great console, the arcade sticks still fare well today.
Awesome. play dragon force on sega Saturn
too repetitive.Stilled finished it though with the black knight waifu.
it had a good run in Japan but Sega of America really wanted it to fail

in the US at least - Europe got shafted hard
>yurocucks got cucked
To the surprise of literally no one.
>Shenmue build for Saturn
25 CDs
it was the best console of all time, upon retrospect
justify yourself

Excellent if you know nip.
>75% of the Sega Saturn's library wasn't released in North America
huge piece of shit with 3 good games (which is more than the PS5)
name them
Sega Rally Championship
Panzer Dragoon Saga
Die Hard Arcade
I accept your concession
name 3 good PS5 games
instead I'll name one person who has never had sex and never will: (you)
I accept your concession
None was offered ESL pajeet
no good PS5 games have been offered either Black person
I've literally never owned a gaystation you moronic obsessive
didn't they frick up by delaying the release 6 months for no fricking reason?
No, they actually released it early for no reason, with no inventory, and pissed everyone off.
sounds like a modern console/gpu release
When I was a young lad I put a cookie in my saturn and it broke
Daily reminder N64 outsold every Sega console ever made
What kind of wizardry made this happen? Fricking amazing what the Saturn was capable of if you knew your shit. It shits all over PS1 graphics.
Underrated but surely not as underrated as Sega fans want it to be
It didn't happen though
Fantastic console held back by the fact that 95% of its library never came to the US.
