The worst part about this bait is that zoomers who haven't played them believe it and think it's a Pokemon Blue/Red situation

This is getting ridiculous, half the posts on the whole board are zoomers who have absolute shit for brains.

He's not wrong though. They basically are the same game. Or maybe more accurately it's one game that was chopped in half and both pieces sold at full retail price.

They both have a different overworld and 8 different dungeons, 8 different dungeon items. I'm hard up to imagine a state in which anon is more wrong than he currently is.

I guess minecraft is like 80 billion different games then

By your definition, no game series with recurring characters or mechanics are substantially different enough to call them a different game. All of GTA is one game, all of call of duty is the same game, all of zelda are the same game.

That would be an interesting thought experiment if it had not been prefaced by you dishonestly comparing it to Pokemon Blue/Red. Have you played Red/Blue? It's the same map. There's no change, people are more forgiving about Pokemon Yellow for a reason, it has interesting stuff added (for fans of the anime) but you still wouldn't have a point.

uh huh, because those are totally just the same game with some stuff moved around

              >those are totally just the same game with some stuff moved around
Neither is Seasons/Age. It's not the same game with stuff moved around...

                >post saying it's NOT like blue/red
                >you suddenly say it is
                >this is ''comparing'' them but defs not you
Yeah, I was going to point out one had a time portal item and other didn't but screw that, you're making random things up.

Either or, Doesn't really matter. Whatever game you wouldn't mind playing again for the linked game, play first.

Can you transfer the code in versions from different regions? Could you put the code of a PAL version on a NTSC one? Anyone knows?

Neither. These are some of the worst Zelda games. They did not give a single frick about the limitations of the control scheme and you have to swap items multiple times per screen on every single screen. Ages is especially bad about this, they decided it would be fun if traversing the overworld itself was a puzzle and its so fricking tedious and annoying simply going from point A to point B. There also just isn't anything very memorable or fun in these games either, they're pretty basic and lack the charm you'd expect from Zelda.

Honestly I would either skip them or wait for someone to remake it like the recent Links Awakening PC port. If these got remake exactly like that port they would certainly be a lot more tolerable.

I like Ages first to keep the Seasons items in the postgame. but then if you like the games enough to replay them as I do you'd do season->ages and alternate between for 100% completion, lol.

You're going both ways anyway, but I go:
    >Ages -> Linked Seasons -> Hero Seasons -> Linked Hero Ages

I played Seasons than Ages. I loved Seasons, Ages not so much, hard to say if it was because it was a worse game or just fatique of the formula though

Simultaneously like how you read Only Revolutions. Do a chunk of Ages and then switch to Seasons and just keep going that way.

ideally, you're supposed to play them one way and then the other way. but most aren't going to do that. that aside, it doesn't matter.

Yeah, play seasons first. If you play ages you'll drop it and never play seasons.

Not really. I think Seasons can be harder, I do not mind the puzzles, but combat can be tedious at times

Typical response, not saying it's hard, no zelda is hard, saying it's boring. You will get so fricking bored you lose interest in playing it. Seasons is less boring, it's still a Zelda game so it's inherently boring but much less so than ages. And it looks cooler.

    >Ages to Seasons
You get to see the end of the Ambi subplot.

    >Seasons to Ages
You get to fill in a map square that otherwise can't be filled in.

    Seasons to Ages it is.
