Danganronpa has implied gore or cleverly covers it up in aesthetic. The most shocking execution is probably only Leons, everyone else's is too whacky to be grossed out by. I've seen fans of the series create executions for their OCs and they miss the point at times by making it actually brutal.

Gore hasn’t been used for shock value in decades. Gore is just inherently satisfying to see in a violence-based setting (i.e. most games). Good games like nu-DOOM use gore to enhance game feel and make their weapons feel more satisfying.
For example: If you have two pistols, and one just kills an enemy in a single headshot with a bit of blood splatter, and the other makes their head explode, which do you FEEL does more damage?

The Star Wars arm cutting off scene does gore better than any gore horror movie I’ve seen.
Pixel gore is different it bridges the gap between the low quality animation and realism. It “lets you know” the pixels are real, when it’s overdone it can be retarded, but there is a reason for it.

Gore is good for trashy slasher films or a game going for that same aesthetic. Gore for the sake of it can work in stuff like war films that try to show you how brutal D-day was. But Gore in other stuff that tries to be shocking in films that try to be deep are trash and for psudes

Don't worry anon. I read the comics after the show came out, and I'm still very much looking forward to season 2. The show makes a few slight changes to the story as well, so there will still be new, fresh stuff for you to experience.
I seriously recommend the comics anyway though. They're the only comic books I've ever been able to stomach reading. They're good, interesting, self-contained (mostly, aside from some cameos) and the mid-later issues have absolutely fantastic art (though you might enjoy the early artstyle too if you don't mind a less detailed, more classic "comic-booky" look).

The closest thing there is to a "cuck" scenario is that the MC gets sent 5 years into the future, and is presumed dead for those 5 years, so his girlfriend eventually starts dating an alien.
She leaves the alien immediately when Mark comes back, and feels terrible about what she did. The only "cuckery" the MC engages in is telling her that she didn't do anything wrong because as far as she or anyone else knew, he was dead, and had been for years.
