put the soundtrack in a disc player and hit play.
Vanillia
No mods
Seriously no fricking mods. This isn't New Vegas were Shitsidian released a 'bug fix' patch that made the game unplayable.
Only advice is because the AI was held back by console, keep a rotation of about 4-5 saves and save after every main quest on a different safe slot
Just in case the AI shits itself due to the limitations imposed to cater to the weaker console
Bash yourself over the head until your IQ drops below 90 at least, but the lower the better.
Go back in time to 2008
Don’t play the story
Play with headphones
Wander around
Are there specific 'builds' you guys recommend? Never played a FO game besides Shelter.
Install Fallout 3 into New Vegas using TTW while also following a guide such as https://thebestoftimes.github.io/intro.html
Pic sorta related, just the 'framework' mods I've got so far with hundreds of other mods running. No crashes in dozens of hours so far, either.
Charisma is usually a stat you can go without even if you want a 'charismatic' character
Do not use TTW
At all
It is literally one of the fricking worst things you could do
The developers have stated they believe both games are flawed and implemented their own fixes to 'correct' the games
I can see where you're coming from for an original playthrough, but at this point I'm running countless other mods to 'correct' the games into a 'newer feeling' shooter with nice textures, animations, sprinting and ironsights (and even diagonal running). There are some genuine bug fixes with it though it still fricks with the balance.
The moment they started introducing bugs to 'counter' mods, like Weapon Mods Expanded, for example, to prevent them working, is the moment you should have uninstalled it
I wouldn't doubt they'd do things like that on purpose, I advocate it as a way to play all the FO3 content in a NV style but don't shill for the devs like that one RoyBatty homosexual - but I've got hours out of enjoying all the content Bethesda made out of it with all the newer FO3 mods that are now being made for TTW instead
This.
The devs make fake updates to TTW just to frick up old mods for TTW like 3.2 to 3.3.
Basically fricked up most mods made.
QRD on this? I know the guy in charge of TTW is a hyper autistic manbaby that always has meltdowns but I didn't know anything about this.
I clean up the whole wasteland.
Pick up all junk, blow up all the cars then zap them away, and other random stuff like that to clean up the wasteland.
don't worry about optimizing bobble head and skill book gains. The OCD stress is not worth it.
>repair, medicine, speech
>skills max your speech, barter, science, repair, medicine, and energy weapons
>grab alien blaster
>charismatic mad scientist
Run around exploring whatever you come across, shoot and kill whoever you want. Finding creative ways to kill people is fun, After about seven hours though the fun wears thin at which case you should put the game away and never touch it again.
I just started playing Fallout 3 for the first time. Installed TTW like 2 days ago. Having fun so far but I'm getting bored trying to get to Rivet City. So many frickin tunnels. I installed a combat mod that makes headshots actually a thing. Super mutants are waaaaay too tanky for the shitty early weapons I have (.32 rifle and a combat shotgun).
>installed TTW
>had to use tunnels to get to rivet city
Anon, why?
WMX and a few other mods have been 'disabled' by the TTW team. From my last time trying it and looking at the code, TTW won't load any of the references in game of WMX, as in they literally modded it in, line by line, the new WMX mods to not be loaded at all.
There are some other issues, like the forcing of DT into Fallout 3 and some issues with overall scaling of enemies
Also they have stolen mods like YUP (who didn't want to be involved in the TTW group) to add in
It's certainly one way to play through FO3 and FNV but it's playing a literal modpack with the creator's vision so it's not authentic to the base game in the slightest
Never understood why they needed huge updates anyway. I think I played 3.1 or 3.2 when I last tried it and it was stable, had a lot of patches available to reign in a lot of the stupidity and mods were largely compatible out of the box.
Majority of the updates are stolen mods built in to the installer
They won't even let you use 3.2 saves anymore for 3.3.
You basically have to start a WHOLE new game just to keep playing TTW if you use 3.3 from 3.2.
erase all memory of new vegas and compare it to failout 4
Exit the vault, then immediately tell the main quest to go frick itself. Explore the wasteland.
Also,
>~
>fov 100
Ignore the main story.
Jesus fricking christ, do not pay attention to the story nor try and make sense of it.
>Requires TTW
I wish TTW was its own category on Nexus.
Play somenthing else
When the mods run out.
turn it off and play Fallout 76, cutie!
We have the Pitt now! don't you remember that fun DLC!
Don't forget to buy a Fallout 1st membership while you're at it, big boy!~
The Pitt sucks, you ruined it homosexual. It's basically a daily op quest.
frick I want to now
