PSVR2 if it works on PC well would be the best choice period. (and it may make valve make a newer VR headset, probably one powered by steamOS)
though idk the game choice it will have on PS5.
For the same money as a PS5 you can only get a shit PC that is nowhere close to a PS5. PC also has a compatibility problem where nothing runs consistently and is buggy and you have to spend hours looking for some Reddit post about how to change some value in a text file somewhere just to make the game playable.
the cost of a console and PC is not really apples to apples.
a PC for 500 can play still online games, pirate, mod, and emulate.
spending 500 on a PS5, you get none of these things. (though you would need to spend more for equivalent power)
>used 3070
Graphics cards are notorious for breaking after use. Never buy a used one. You never know if it was worn down on shitcoin mining or Stable Diffusion pedo image generation.
it can happen, but from what ive seen, most look fine.
PC VR is a waste of time doesn't even have re7
it does, there's a mod on github and it looks sick
>the cost of a console and PC is not really apples to apples. >a PC for 500 can play still online games, pirate, mod, and emulate.
OP asked what's better for gaming not what's better for making a spreadsheet you stupid frick. >spending 500 on a PS5, you get none of these things. (though you would need to spend more for equivalent power)
And that's exactly my point. You'd need to spend 5-10 times as much on a PC for comparable power to a PS5. You will never get a better deal for gaming than a console.
>a PC for 500 can play still online games
A 500 PC won't run Ghost of Tsushima and Stellar Blade as well as a PS5 if/when those are ported. The most active online games on PC are FTP games, and a fact that PCgays on Ganker love to hide is that FTP games and FFXIV don't require PS+. >piracy
This one is overblown. There's only one group that cracks Denuvo games. And Empress is mentally insane. Look at this shit. "uh i have le cult." This is the type of person who would kill himself before Denuvo is "defeated." Piracy isn't as viable as before when less and less Denuvo games are being cracked especially when Denuvo itself hires people who were involved in the scene. Eventually, the only means for getting games on PC will be to buy them off Steam or EGS. And these digital games are more expensive than physical games. >emulate
Unless you want to play Switch and PS3 games, any phone can emulate. Hell, phones have better PS2 emulation than PC.
Of course it is. >i have a cult
Means that it runs a discord server and likely grooms children like pic related. >that rant about women showing off their bodies on social media
Just like the twitter puritans who get mad at the sight of an attractive woman in a video game. This is such a non-issue. Women have been showing off their bodies since the start of human civilization. Sculptures and art have been made to honor the female form. Most people in any point in time loves hot girls, and there is nothing wrong with that.
could be good, though if you're anal about wanting it to be equivalent to a PC port, you will be disappointed and id say just to wait for a PC port (or emulator in the case of say bloodborne)
>used 3070
Graphics cards are notorious for breaking after use. Never buy a used one. You never know if it was worn down on shitcoin mining or Stable Diffusion pedo image generation.
its not really apples to apples
what if i wanted to say, mod a game? you can kinda mod on a hacked PS4, but its not a thing at all on PS5.
>the cost of a console and PC is not really apples to apples. >a PC for 500 can play still online games, pirate, mod, and emulate.

>emulating BOTW is now doing spreadsheets
what? >5-10 times as much
its more, but that's pretty silly, maybe 2-3 on hardware, but most PC gamers are not really richer than console gamers from what ive seen,
A PC for 500 can't do anything
a SteamDeck can do all of those things and is 400, though its a bit on the weaker side.
You can't emulate BOTW on a $500 PC at a quality better than a Switch.

a 5700g can do switch emulation well as far as im aware, though CEMU is better for BOTW. (from one video, you can do about 60fps at 720p and 40 at 1080p, which is still alot nicer)
>a PC for 500 can play still online games
A 500 PC won't run Ghost of Tsushima and Stellar Blade as well as a PS5 if/when those are ported. The most active online games on PC are FTP games, and a fact that PCgays on Ganker love to hide is that FTP games and FFXIV don't require PS+. >piracy

still a paywall, and the point was not that a 500$ PC will run those games better, its that a PC has a different feature set.
aetherSX2 is on PC actually (though the biggest issues with PCSX2 are fixed by moving to the nightly builds, the official ones are nightmarishly outdated), you also lose things like primehack and the like, which are much better ways to play certain games.
though i will say denuvo has gotten harder to crack, its still the case that most games have one.
>what if i wanted to say, mod a game?
I don't give a frick if you want to mod a game. What if OP wanted to play the games he listed at a reasonable price? This isn't about your tastes. It's about OP.
you kinda miss the point, its that PC does alot of things that a console cannot, making it not a very 1:1 comparison.

A lot of things like making spreadsheets which I concede a PC is better for. But none of this is relevant when OP is asking specifically about gaming.

PC gaming is a full time hobby because of all the time you need to spend on Reddit to find out which text file you need to edit to get a game to even be playable on your PC. You don't really have time for a job. Literally every PC gamer I know still lives with their parents who pay for everything.
>what if i wanted to say, mod a game?

PS5 is basically a souped-up PS4 with a few original PS5 games (so far). It's worth it if you want to play most Playstation exclusives at higher framerates and better quality.
PS5 is fantastic. The games run well and it's a much nicer machine than the PS4.
I sold my PS5. Because while PS5 games run well, PS4 games run like utter shit on it. They run well, for PS4 games, which means 1080p/30 most of the time. It's a pretty bad experience given the PS5 seems to have less than 100 'PS5 optimised' titles. Peripherals are also a fricking nightmare. Trying to find a VRR compatible display for it is a pain. It's really fussy about keyboards and mice. It's a nuisance, and it plays a majority of its library worse than its competition.
Rift Apart was cool, Ghost of Toshiba was cool, but I couldn't deal with shit like Shadow Warrior 2 running at 30 fps when the PS5 is clearly capable of more.
What's schizo about it? Because I used more than one sentence?
PS5 playing PS5 games is good. But the PS4 games on it fricking suck. The best thing about the PS5 is I bought it for £450, and I sold it 18 months later for £450. I lost nothing on it.
Most PS4 games already have the PS4 Pro patch and all those run much better on PS5 than PS4 Pro (rock solid 1440p60 upscaled to 4K60). Sure it's not native 4K but still very nice and OP was specifically asking how PS4 games will play.

Fallout 4. Red Dead Redemption 2. Shadow Warrior 2. I got bored of them running at 30fps. Some will run at a higher resolution if you're lucky, but still don't lift the framerate. Not to mention they artificially limit the load speeds of PS4 games on PS5 to 600MBps to 'avoid breaking them by loading too fast'.
The PS5 is good tech kneecapped by shitty software.

as a ps4 homosexual that switched to ps5, i assure you it is the worst absolutely piece of shit console you can spend money on, beside returnal and demon souls ( that is a remake) theres fricking nothing on it after 2 years of being released, just get a beefy pc now that graphic cards are cheapish
I'm happy to hear that Returnal was at least good; I loved Super Stardust HD. I built a PC in 2020 instead of going for the PS5 after having owned a PS4.

There hasn't been a Playstation worth owning since the PS2. I've played Ghosts of Tsushima, and it's fairly overrated. The game is extremely front-loaded. I gets extremely repetitive after about 2-3 hours.

Nice job at not answering the question
Seethe, snoygger.
Very much more so than a PS4 as you have access to that console's entire library
>entire library
The only game worth half a shit on PS4 is Bloodborne. PS5 has absolutely nothing of worth. Frick the westernized demake of DeS.
It's literally the only good game on the PS4.
I’ve been debating that. What graphics card would you recommend if I do build a decent PC?

Yea I use my pretty much everyday
If you never owned a ps4 just get a used one of those. Ps5 is not worth it.

bloodborne gays are worse than regular souls gays
name a better ps4 game
That’s a shame to hear since I was hearing rave reviews about the game. Thanks for the warning.
It even does the [you beat them in the game, they beat you in the cutscene] bullshit. Reviewers no doubt loved it, because it's not challenging.
honestly the best part of the game is the intro
the game has gorgeous environments as well
