A lot of homosexual mod authors are starting to use the CC stuff as requirements. Otherwise no, the new additions are poorly integrated and usually rather ugly. Anything you like from the list can just be pirated. /tesg/ has a mega with everything backported to non-AE

I use the latest se/ae version 1.64.40 or whatever and the compatable skse 2.022 or something, works fine unless the update without asking again

Not if you want to mod it. Mods are all built for the special edition. If you just wanna play vanilla then go ahead.
I'm a sad frick and bought it for my switch lite, after the frick ups and update fixes my last few weeks have been comfy as frick.
I'm actually stunned at how decent the performance is.
Do you know the filesize? Eshop says 3 MB, but I don't see how that's possible.

I noticed that as well when it launched but after the first patch and buying the anniversary upgrade, everything was already installed. Total file size on my system is 12.5gb

The cc content completely fricks over the balance this game had (not that it had many in the first place) you can literally get daedric armor at level 1 also like 3 free houses and shit ton of op items only cool thing is the fishing

True that and the survival mode that's also kinda cool. Some of the cc content is fine it's just how badly they implemented it. Like you can clearly tell when you're playing a creation club quest it's not as refined as the rest of the game and some of the quests are literally fetch quests to get an insanely op armor or weapon that kills the fun of finding somthing better because it doesn't exist. I stumbled accros a dead nord with a full dragonscale armor set in some mountain it was part of a cc quest. It's moronic. They should've locked these quests behind a level wall so they can only trigger once you've reached a certain level.

Don't upgrade if you're planning on modding it later. Lots of mods are still incompatible with the upgraded version. Porn ones, especially
