The reality in 2024 is if you want to play most worthwhile or interesting games in the world, all you need is a decent PC. You don't have to pay for anything. How is that not fricked up?

Trans are the easiest to exploit money out of in the gaming industry. Just have to give crumbs of relatability (doesn't even have to be in game or official media) and they'll eat that slop up like pigs in a trough.

    >Hey, Nintendo!
    >"Yeah?"
    >I wanna play Pokemon Black on my Nintendo Switch!
    >"We don't have this available."
    >But I want to support you by legally purchasing it with my own money, instead of buying an outdated console and trying to find the game myself, which said money won't go to you!
    >"We don't have this game available."
    >*young man just pirates the game and loads it onto his Switch using DraStic or something*
    >Nintendo: picrel

Can you see WHY piracy exists?

If a game isn't publicly available it isn't piracy.

I'm also not going to pay 70€ for a game with no demo publicly available. PS2 demo discs unironically got my younger self to buy games that I would actually want to play. I still have all of mine, I think a subscription was like 5€ a month.

it is you fricking thief. You are still stealing an IP that the publisher could hypothetically sell back. For example, Nintendo has their own emulation service to sell back such games.

As they continue evolving AI eventually they gonna start using it to crack down on this shit. You know how Google has an algorithm that takes down videos based on how many times it's been flagged and the words used on the title, etc. I bet at some point there'll be some AI entity going around taking down illegal websites and and sending warnings and penalties to the IPs connected till you get fully blocked off the internets.

Emulation is a necessity. Only fans care/are autistic enough to keep niche games alive and emulation is essential to keep those efforts alive.

    >Is emulation evil?
No. The only thing evil is homosexuals like you who lick israeli corporate boots and make shit threads to make this site a living hell for those of us who want to have a legitimate discussion without your reddit/discord tier moronation being shoved in our faces 24/7. Emulation will always be based, and the corpo israelites and their troony discordian redditors will keep seething, and there is nothing you can do about it.
As for the lurkers and based anons: You will own everything and you will be happy, keep being based and pirate like a chad. No redditor/discordian/israelites can stop you from being based.

Piracy isn't theft, it's copyright infringement. Copyright is rooted in the idea of intellectual property. Intellectual property isn't real, and is a fundamentally moronic concept. You can't own an idea, and preventing people from selling copies of that idea is just stifling the free market. This is also why patent law is bullshit.

    Distinguish.
Emulation is the practice of understanding and replicating proprietary hardware via less-proprietary software. It's not even remotely evil. Unless you're willing to say it's better for something to be forgotten than to be remembered in a way its creator can't profit from, which is pretty fricking dumb.
Piracy is piracy. It's different from emulation. Emulation makes it more practical in a great many ways, but piracy is still piracy.

If consoles and their corporations weren't evil frickups these games would still be available for a reasonable cost or you'd still be able to easily play the games you bought on modern systems.

    Remember Feeding the Multitude.
Jesus shared few breads and fishes with around 5000 people. When everyone was fed, he asked his disciples to collect leftovers into the baskets. They ended up with more than they started.
Jesus Christ is the first pirate and he proved piracy is benevolent. The only people who would find offense in it are the israelites who want to sell their bread at hiked up prices, in this case, video game companies.
