It's the best game made in an Elder Scrolls engine since Morrowind.

Somewhat annoying le too deep for you teenager dialogues.
    Skyrim gameplay.

Maybe I'm a casual or I wasn't going the right way but I found it to be a bit too unbalanced. All the enemies were hitting me like a truck and I had no way of healing beyond (very limited) healing potions. Regardless of how good the story, quests or setting are, theres no getting around the fact that its a skyrim mod and therefor suffers from skyrims shitty combat. If you want a great setting and story with shit combat, Morrowind did it better.

    Pros
    >Improves upon Skyrim's combat with more abilities and spells
    >Story is engaging and you won't see the twists coming the first time around
    >Big variety of environments (desert, tundra, jungle, spooky swamp, etc.)
    >Jespar is a bro.
    >Calia is a qt 3.14 tomboy gf
    Cons
    >It's still Skyrim combat
    >Story has a reddit-tier hardon for its own psuedo-philosophy 101 themes
    >The ending has a 75% chance of making you seethe. Increase to 100% if you actually think about it from a design perspective.
    It's all right.

iirc the Oblivion mod had a simple story, yada yada kill god yada yada change fate yada yada become god yourself

What I mean is, would I pay 60 bucks for it? Nah. But for being free its really good.
Kinda like how Little Cesars obviously isn't the highest quality pizza but for 5 bucks for a large you're aren't going to beat it

I don't understand why the mod makes you "meditate" then physically look/aim at the shit you want to level up.
Paying a gymbro to get fit or learn how to curl in Gothic is immersive, this shit is just busy work that could have been replaced with a menu like almost every other RPG on earth.

It Skyrim engine limitation. They wanted to have 9 custom skills trees. Skyrim engine has exactly 18 skills, no more, no less. Its why they had to figure out a different way of leveling up

I've been playing through this. At first I thought I'd do things the legit way, really try to immerse myself, picking a medium difficulty. I heard it had some slight rebalance done and the builds were different, and it's true, but still. After a while, I lowered it to the easiest. After another while, I just defaulted to typing tgm every time.

Good story and surprisingly well done for a mod. VA work is good for a free fan project but sometimes there's a line or character that throws you off a bit (there's one guy with a deep accent who keeps popping up throughout the game and he stands out hard, even if he is doing a good job)
Also the anons that were talking about the story when I decided to try it weren't kidding (spoilers) it's literally fricking Mass Effect. When the order master dude said "We've found a machine that the previous civilization attempted to build and failed to stop the mysterious mystical powered things from wiping us out in an endless cycle" there was just no denying it, it's fricking fantasy Mass Effect.

Fantastic map, intricate layouts, great use of space that doesn't waste anything, all the things that you didn't get from Skyrim's braindead Ubisoft map. It's an open-world that's built around fast-travelling as little possible. Though you'll be spamming it eventually anyway.
Combat that punishes you hard for just trying to unga-bunga, which means that 90% of builds aren't viable about 20 hours into the game which is probably not what most people want to hear.
Loosey goosey Skyrim combat animations and bad-looking kitbash armour replacements.

Overall plot and existential party dialogue is pretty bad.

    Its a Skyrim Remix.
Did you like Skyrim? You will like this too I guess. I completed it once, probably wont play it again. There is no Post-Main Quest content so I burned out 100% it. It didnt have as much content as Skyrim, though it was suffering from the same issues. Made the mistake of playing a mage and just ended up making armor for 100% magic reduction to perma stunlock enemies.

It's generally pretty good. The writing is OK, not fantastic, but better than you will find in most Elder Scrolls games.
