    There are videogame cults?

    First few chapters are good
Then it's so bad it's good
Not sure that counts as a cult classic
No one actually thinks it's a genuinely good game

The weird control scheme is genuinely novel and immersive.

People generally liked it and Heavy Rain until Beyond Two Souls became a popular hate bandwagon. Everybody liked it up until the matrix shit at the end. That Ross video on Indigo Prophecy is one of the worst gaming related videos I've ever seen in terms of frustration. Like he was the only dude I ever saw actually complain the game was "too hard"

      >People generally liked it and Heavy Rain
lol what the frick is this revisionism
Everyone made fun of both "games" forever. They were always a guilty pleasure.

        >lol what the frick is this revisionism
        You're moronic
Heavy Rain was extremely well received at release
It was E-Celebs and the years afterwards that made everyone think they hated it (Along with reviewers pretending they gave Heavy Rain a bad review)

          >Heavy Rain was extremely well received at release
          By critics, sure?
We were literally making fun of it before it even was out with the JAAAASOOOOOOON supermarket shit.
You sound new as frick. Which is fine. I don't really care about newbies. But don't try to be revisionist. That shit is annoying.

Frick release, man. We were making fun of it when it was a GameTrailers clip weeks before the game even came out.
What the FRICK are you talking about?

Nah he's right literally everyone was shitting on it for it's hilarious and terrible promo. And then the game came out and it was also bad and funny.
              >uhhhhh he lied... to himself!

Heavy Rain is one of the old Sony “era” games that sonygays praised for only-on-ps3, but when it turned out to be a b-tier game, the explanations went to: yeah, it's shit, but it's our shit, you'll never have it! Same with Bloodborne, but you aren't ready for that truth yet

It was a good demo of ps3 tech in the early days at least

Don't worry anon, I played it on release and enjoyed it too

Unfortunately they don't make statistics on genuine enjoyment, these anons only have their subjective shitposting to work with so there's not much point arguing.

It was enjoyable because it was completely moronic, it wasn't because it was a good game.

not around me, it isn't. none of you would be safe ever speaking about any sort of video game in my presence, honestly. You're not really gamers. It'd be like a cult leader meeting an actual deity.

I'm an unironic cage defender and parks of Fahrenehit/Indigo Prophecy are unironically good
But as soon as the Internet shows up as an old lady in a wheel chair to fight the Mayans it loses me and becomes completely stupid

Heavy Rain, Omikron and Detroit are the best Cage games but the intro to Farheint/Indigo Prohecy is probably some of Quantic Dreams best level and sound design and peak comfy

Most people just hate Cage because E-Celebs told them to and that recent controversy with him calling all women prostitutes

It's the age old QTE problem - you have to look at the inputs rather than action unfolding in the background.
