No and it never will be. Play Warband instead.
why?
turks keep putting out updates that break the saves and mods so everyone invested in playing/modding just abandons it
Just dont update 😉
Thats the case for me. Probably gonna wait 5 years til its patched up and the mods are good to go.
If anything they should have perfected the multiplayer aspect at launch to keep the playerbase but they release it with just one siege map lmao. Fucking turkroaches never learn
Good!
Fuck modding!!
Vanilla is all you need.
mods are the only thing bringing this broken and unfinished game close to warband lmao
>why?
Inferior combat system.
Inferior engine.
Less mods.
More bloat.
Broken multiplayer.
Broken horseriding.
Boring, generic art style.
Overpriced.
>Inferior combat system.
>Inferior engine.
literally delusional
Not delusional, Warband's melee is a thousand times better than Bannerlord's.
Although the game itself is bloated .Net application it's miles better than Warband
Gameplay wise? IT SHIT. I hate how relation is meaningless now. Back in Warband relations between lords can make or break your faction or even progression to become a lord or king. Now it's just magical influence points.
Warband is garbage don't listen to autistic retards. The game is fine but it's a sandbox, you need to want to experience this specifically, the game isn't going to take you by the hand.
Because I said so
They finally fixed the one bug that kept me from wanting to play it and I haven’t had any crashes on the most recent patch either.
The latest patch really shoulda been 1.0
New version is a buggy piece of shit, and mods probably will still take years to come out because of tws bullshit, so no.
It's fun at first but gets less fun as you progress!
It starts as an RPG, but quickly devolves into real time strategy with a lot of rescource management!
better than warband but doesn't have the vast mod library yet
>better than warband
In what way?
Every way
the map is better 1000x times better and it feels like there's actual tactics maneuvering now. there's tons of rivers and bridges and chokepoints to maneuver around and there's perks to giving you buffs in certain terrain types way beyond warband. you can actually out maneuver armies on the map now to escape or raid or have different playstyes opposed to the vast emptiness of warband. the fief system is much better in bannerlord. hated getting individual shitty villages scattered all across the map in random places then a castle somewhere else. now the towns come grouped in with the castles so you just get a nice cosy compact area at a time with all the villages with it. the clan system is awesome, the way you manage caravans with them and have children and can play as your heirs is fun, or have your family as companions or governors. the sieges are so much better it doesn't even need to be talked to beyond that. the battles support way larger numbers. I could go on and on but those are the big ones and those are all regardomg the absolute foundation of the gameplay, not trivial things
Is the top image supposed to look better than the bottom here? Looks like shit
cope
>Is the top image supposed to look better than the bottom here? Looks like shit
Cope from a guy with a toaster lmfao holy fuck
>top: cluttered, dark and washed low range of colours, hard to understand what is going on, cliche boring art style
>bottom: intuitive, easy to understand, nice bright art style, high range of colours, not cluttered
>top
>more realistic depiction of a rolling hilly landscape in medieval Europe. Textures are well defined, and give you an idea of what the nearby landscape looks like for each village. Multiple choke points visible for strategic planning. Perfectly giving a zoomed out birdseye view of Calradia, better UI, giving you more information on things you need, and quick access to menus of importance
>Enjoyable overworld map, less computer intensive and the best they could've done at time, can't read the name of villages in the distance, as there is no highlight behind the free floating text
Really not sure how you can say the bottom one is better. Or more clear, names of nearby areas are obstructed in the distance, and the UI is far from helpful.
they changed the map so it's a big nono from me
Bannerlord's map fucking stinks
Warband is wide open plains and distinctive chokepoints creating interesting topology.
Bannerlord is just never ending hellscape of perlin tier mountains.
no it isn't. there are very very few chokepoints on it, it's JUST wide open planes. nothing interesting happening at all
>it's JUST wide open planes
It's not gm_flatgrass. You are literally wrong and your inability to express nuance means there is nothing for me to argue against. Good day.
later gay
>Warband is wide open plains and distinctive chokepoints creating interesting topology.
God damn Warbands map looks so fucking good bro your'e right I just love flat seas of the same 4 color
Now do one for Sargoth
sieges
battles
bannerlord might be missing some cool stuff from warband but i cant go back to warband now
This is simply not true, the melee and combat system is garbage in Bannerlord, unless you're playing it like a Total War style RTS and not actually doing any fighting yourself the battles are much better in warband than bannerlord.
yeah in warband you can stand at the top of the ladder and defend a 1000 person siege by yourself much better siege system if you're fighting yourself
Sieges are fine in Warband you spastic.
>defending a 1000 person siege by yourself
You're supposed to defend sieges using ranged, not melee, either buy a crossbow or level Power Draw.
>Sieges are fine in Warband
delusional boomer
Let me guess, Warband was too "clunky" for you wasn't it, Zoomer.
You defend a siege by camping the single ladder the 2000 people are queued up to climb. This is so dumb I think you're just pretending to be retarded.
in butterlord they use battering rams etc, not just the ladders.
>Sieges are fine in Warband
this is true though commanding is made easier out the box, melee feels better because of the smoother animations death animations feel nice and responsive, yea i know mp sweatlords whine about the combat but it feels much tighter than warband. then you have AI mods which make battles play better and of course the fact that you can have a huge number of men on the field at once without it crashing. and sieges are better since they arent the shitty one ladder sieges.
>but it feels much tighter than warband.
Yeah just stop replying to me retard, you obviously have barely even played Warband and you don't know what you're talking about.
i have hundreds of hours in warband and bannerlord feels better in combat. again, mo sweatlords love to complain but nothing feels better than having a twohander and crushing three people with it.
I have 3600 hours in Warband and you're wrong.
nope
The MP sweatlords are right though, melee is absolute shit is Bannerlord, your shilling for it won't change this.
bannerlord melee is probably too hard and complex honestly
>every single character looks like sylvester stallone
kek it's not even better than the shit I just took
can someone summarize the gameplay loop in one sentence?
bonk
have fun for 10 hours. start your own nation.
be at total war for 200 hours until you reach a point where there are attacks every 5 seconds and you just lose interest in the game for the next 10 months
It wouldn't be nearly as bad if lords didn't emptied every villages in a 30 miles radius as soon as they respawned
Not only it makes it very hard to get your own party, but it also means lords are always ready for war, so you have armies every other day banging on your doorstep.
10h of pure boredom until you start to make actual good money,
Yes.
>play bannerlord
>it's not fun at all
>play warband
>have a good time
idk man. I just can't get into bannerlord
Did the full release ever fix the retarded coding where your savefile bloats because it permanently saves every single weapon you crafted?
both warband and bannerlord are shit and combat always devolves into mosh pits
There is not a single thing Warband does better anymore
the only thing warband does better is multiplayer
>Kicks now don't stan people long enough to get a free hit on them
>Can't kick right after you attack for a combo
>Cancerous shield bashes
>Can't do an instant 360 spin and characters are now much less flexible in general
>Chambers are now a lottery never worth playing instead of reliable mechanic
Taleworlds traded fun and interesting combat system for muh realism
Lmao
kicks do stun long enough to get a free hit, its just different than warband, you have to ready a swing first then release your attack, there is a small window after the kick when you can change what direction you wanna attack from, the easiest to do is right swing, overheads are good for headshots, if you wanna be a sweatlord go for the face stab after kicks for max damage.
THE FUTURE IS HERE
Warband with mods > Viking Conquest > Bannerlord > Warband without mods
>Viking Conquest
It's the only version of mountain blade that I play these days.
why does every character i try to make in bannerlord look like the same goofy ass retard
why are the companions soulless generated slop instead of static and hand made
Yes. I want to like bannerlord so much but it gives no feeling anywhere.
One guy was talking about how now you get a comfy castle close to you towns vs spread out towns/castles. So boring.
The randomness? Or mystique? Or something that didn’t make it feel so on the rails is gone. Many such cases.
>why are the companions soulless generated slop instead of static and hand made
you realize people had the ability to make unique companions since EA? notice how everyone was so quick to make stuff like freelancer, or AI patrols but nobody really bothered to make companions? its because nobody actually cares about it enough and this is just another meme talking point.
bannerlord is better than warband
everyone who disagrees with me is wrong and gay
>327 hours
you probably can't even feint or block properly lmao, your shitter opinion doesn't count.
Not only are you wrong, but you are also gay.
give bannerlord a few more years to be close to as good as Warband. Mods will fix it, bannerlord has a higher potential for modding if failsworlds will stop breaking shit every patch.
>Warband
>Last played
>Sep 15, 2022
>Bannerlord
>Last played
>Yesterday
Probably 1k++ if you count WSE_Loader.exe .
The only thing that might save this game is Shokuho, but like people have pointed out, all the patches break the mods and development of the mod is incredibly slow.
on sale maybe but its just a worse version of warband
All the game is is fighting
Land and castles change hands, wars are won, sometimes people die but it never means anything
What's the point if the world is always the same and the dialogue/quests are basically skyrim auto Gen tier
Biggest let down of my life, I'll never forgive the roaches.
Total Turkish Domination of the strategy/rpg hybrid genre. Allah Akbar.
Anyone who actually likes Bannerlord just hasn't played Warband enough to know how of a downgrade it is.
This, I've spent hundreds of hours in Viking Conquest and was shocked at how Bonerlord paled in comparison.
it's the fucking magical influence points system and shitcher 3 perks system. I FUCKING HATE IT so much
960 hours in warband, bannerlord is better. only thing warband has is decades of mods
I have 1000+ hours in warband split between SP and MP, and have conquered calradia as my own faction
Butterlord is better in every single way, and anyone saying otherwise is retarded.
Most of the original devs already left after the turkish government gave the studio recognition and gibs.
In exchange, the turk government designated the dev studio as a revolving door for turkish game design interns and fresh grads to gain experience then leave
It's why every update is just disjointed content like "fixed this bug that extremely rarely happens and was probably fixed by mods already", "balanced this unit so his sword does 11 damage instead of 10" and "here's some new armor pieces/dialogue".
i bought the ps4 version and the insane loading put me off. now i have a ps5. should i do the ps5 upgrade or run the ps4 version on my ps5? which will be less buggy?
>buy PC game on console
>an early access PC game on console
>buy it again on PS5
You have to be idiot.
i didn't have a ps5 when i got my ps4 copy.
the ps4 copy has a free upgrade to ps5 version when you put it in ps5.
so no buying the game twice
It was worth it since the beginning gay
I have 500 hours in bannerlord and I still don't know how to reliably make good money besides lucking out in smithing and getting good 2-handed sword parts
smithing is the most broken/exploity way to get infinite money. trading is good for money but takes you actually spending most of your time doing it, caravans/businesses are easy passive money. fiefs are also passive money but come a bit later. and then there's standard selling of battle loot
Use the old tried and tested method of buying iron in a town where it is cheap and selling it in a town where it is expensive.
In Warband that would have been: Curaw --》 Rivacheg. Then buy cheap silk from Rivacheg and sell it in Wercheg. Then buy cheap salt from Wercheg and sell it at Sargoth.
Repeat ad nauseam.
1.Just look for two towns close to each others
2.Check prices
3.Buy low from one town
4.Sell high to other other town
5.Repeat 3 and 4 until you no longer see anything profitable
Once you have enough spare money, you can just buy cheap goods here and there and unload anything that have high value.
you can just travel across the world and just buy cheap goods here and there*
I had bought a bunch of workshops in like every city, and I was printing money that way, but I'm pretty sure that got nerfed after my most recent run 2 years ago.
smithing bloats your savefile because every thing you ever crafted gets saved and loaded for some reason
Did you like warband? If so, definitely yes. It's literally warband but bigger and better.
No major mods to completely change the setting yet but plenty of mods to expand mechanics and right now bannerlord is definitely better than warband.
