just force yourself to play in 45 to 90 minute time blocks on a rotation of games. i currently have 8 in my rotation with 1 i play absolutely every day for 90 minutes until i beat it, and swap it in with one of the other remaining games.
dopamine addiction. You have to pull back from instant gratification and exercise to fix it, and do a bunch of mediation bullshit. You're brain is basically wired to find anything not fast unenjoyable, so you don't like old games anymore
No, redditor behavior is literally buying these things, taking a picture of a Pokemon title screen on it, then shelving it. It's literal redditor behavior I'm calling out, and you yourself then have a nice day in the fricking foot (not le knee) by then outing yourself by admitting it's fricking redditor behavior, you stupid impotent frick. You couldn't be more fricking moronic if you were paid.
I don't use reddit nor do I give a shit about it, but it is really funny to watch you seethe over it's community yet know everything about it, clearly you must visit it often - all while calling other people redditors as a general insult
Why would somebody be angry at something they know nothing about? You don't make any sense.

There's knowing about it and then there's bringing it up when nobody mentioned it along with having multiple screenshots of subreddits and knowing it's community better than the person you're calling a redditor as a general insult

>Everybody who buys these loads every rom on it, updates the thumbnails, plays an NES game once and then never touches it again
That's literally what redditors have been doing, they bought up all the Miyoo Minis like they were Amiibo. You being ignorant to shit happening doesn't make it magically not exist, moron.
I bought a 353PS Because ergonomics. Had a vertical handheld, fingers had nowhere to rest.
Came in like an hour ago
But I also only put 10 roms on per system.
Not the top 10 because I already played them all and am not playing them again
And then some rom hacks.
10 per system already feels like too much.
I don't have an RG35XX, but I have generally had a good experience with most Anbernic devices with the exception of the RG505, which is trash. In the RG35XX form factor I have the Miyoo Mini Plus, which I like a lot. The RG353M (and other RG353 devices) are also very nice, though OnionOS on the Miyoo Mini is very pleasant and user friendly, very easy to pick up and put down games.
Based.
Android handhelds are never worth the hype. Prove me wrong, you can't.
This has always been the case with emulation, you get hyped, set it up, download tons of roms and get overwhelmed and play maybe one or two games. I setup retroarch with tons of roms and emulators and ended up only playing arcade SHMUPs and Dreamcast games.
These are hyped? A retroid pocket 3 can run almost everything currently possible to emulate. Unless it could somehow run GC/PS2 there's no need to upgrade. Hell, even an RG351V will suffice.
scaling looks really fricked on a 3ds screen because of the resolution, gba and ds look really blury, if you don't mind that then its all good. also batery is not too good.
android is ok, but some old android phones run like complete shit because of the batery getting old so you have to be careful with that.
also you are gonna need a good controller for it and the good ones are pretty expensive, some are more expensive than just buying one of these chinese emulation handhelds
Are there cheap horizontal emulation devices like this?

miyoo mini plus and the OP one are the only ones I would recomend, there is an even smaller miyoo if you really want to carry it around everywhere.
if you get them from ali express I think they are 60 bucks, I got the miyoo and it came with an SD card full of roms and retroarch pre configured, if you already have a modded 3ds I don't think anything cheaper than those is gonna be better.
The 3ds is slightly less powerful. The o3ds won't run n64,psx, and some snes games do stutter. It's certainly less ideal than these dedicated handhelds, but modding a 3ds is really easy + free, so there's no harm in trying.
I already have it modded a long time ago, although haven't really updated a lot of shit due to not playing it anymore. I'm only just looking for a good alternative to using my phone for random game playing when going somewhere.
I’d only buy one of these if I had some old anon to preload a buncha niche shit on it.
As of right now, why buy it when I can emulate anything already.
>why buy it when I can emulate anything already
This is my only real like con in buying this. My phone can easily emulate the games on here and so much more.
I have this exact model. It's smaller than I expected, but the biggest problem is that the screen got a dead pixel within a week. Haven't touched it since because I can't stop noticing it.
Got one on Temu for around 35 shipped, can't beat that when shitty ones are around that price.
Create a new account on a new device that has NEVER installed Temu, use code: ord58205 within first hour of signup. It is a 50% off code up to $50 discount.
Many of these devices allow you to play streamed games from PC/XBOX/PS but at that point you don't need a glorified wireless controller with tiny screen to play them. It's great for promotional content though
>Zoomie doesn't know what HDMI is and it shows
I mean, it's missing the buttons to fully play RDR2, but you can certainly still stream to it by plugging it in the living room PC when somebody wants to use the TV for something else.
Pictures like that usually advertise the streaming capabilities, e.g. using Moonlight to stream from a desktop PC to your handheld over local network and wifi connection.
I have a Miyoo Mini+ that I bought to take out and play on my work and on my girl's house but I don't take it out of my home because it feels like it will break with a single fall and I don't want that to happen.
I want a RG353V now, it looks so sturdy.
every time someone forces mention of their wife or girlfriend into a post about video games I start to bleed a bit from the butthole. My babe, frick off with that bullshit, you’re talking about offbrand game boys. Keep it simple.
>I want a RG353V now, it looks so sturdy.
It's so-so, very overpriced and requires tape on the d-pad to fix fake diagonals. Android sucks too, L2/R2 doesn't work on native games and the custom rom to fix that is not only paywalled on patreon, it doesn't work on recent models. Linux works okay, battery stats being completely wrong aside. There's no easy way to switch between them, the vanilla method corrupts SD cards eventually. Some ports, like SRB2 Kart, just don't work.
depends which ones, the low res ones like in the op don't have filters, the more expensive android based ones can have them. but crt filters are for home consoles not for portables
Idk, I dabbled in these chinkhelds but I think they just arent for me aside from being little picross/tetris machines. I guess I'm too picky with how some systems look. SNES games either have extra lines of pixels or you have to use smoothing filters like pixelate to make it look somewhat decent.
I really wanna get one of these because I actually play emulated shit a lot and while I love the Steam Deck that shit is absurdly heavy for just playing playstation 1 or gba shit
Are these comfy to hold at all? I don't wanna pay more than $100 for one if there any other alternative.
it depends on how you hold it and for how long you play. but you can also get a 3d printed grip for like 5$ that makes them instanly much more comfortable to hold for prolonged periods of time
A Miyoo Mini isn't very comfy, but the Plus is fine. You could also look at the RG353 devices, which are more expensive but come in a variety of layouts that you may find more comfortable. I like the RG353M.
The pic in OP is $50 and plays everything up to PS1, except for PS1 titles that need analog sticks like Ape Escape. It's the size of a GameBoy Pocket, it's the best bang for your buck in terms of design and performance.
>Buy a system twice the width with an additional screen that you don't need
Literally no reason to do this unless you specifically want to play 3DS games
>Vita is obsolete, no point in buying a Vita for Vita games, get the lastest chinkshit >Alternative for DS?! That will NEVER HAPPEN! BUY A 3DS!
your bias is showing
>Dose everything your phone already dose
I genuinely don't see the appeal of these beyond mild nostalgia of using something that vaguely resembles a old handheld console.
Anon... even my old ass moga controler had its own battery, for frick sake you could have even used the thing to charge your phone...
Also, the thing was smaller than my leather wallet...
it's not gonna charge your phone, and your phone uses its own battery to play the games. and it's larger than the RG3XX in the OP but has worse controls. It's not even comparable.
Anon...
You don't have to use that specific one, there are plenty of others for you choose.
I only used 3 in my life, and they were all around the same size as my wallet, costed under 50 yuros and they all had built in batteries.
The only phone controller that doesn't look like shit is the Razer kishi, and that thing costs more than a new phone. a chink handheld controls, looks and plays better than a phone ever could
I bought one and used it for like a week and got tired of it. I put it up for sale locally at twice the price I bought it just for the lols and someone bought it after 3 days
why do they all use racing games for their advertisements? like all the chinkshit handhelds do this. Do people really play "retro" games like Gran Turismo 5 on there? It should be a shitty mario rip off or something, thats what everyone plays anyways. For at least 7 minutes before putting it in a drawer and never picking it up again.
That's a trend for videogame advertisement in general from chinks, don't know if that's trying to reach out to amerisharts or chinks themselves enjoying racing games.
Everybody who buys these loads every rom on it, updates the thumbnails, plays an NES game once and then never touches it again
>nes
gross, first mistake right there, I'm playing a bunch of gba and ps1 games on mine.
Can confirm, no regrets.
This, I have a rasberrypi I couldn't be arsed to completely setup for gaming
Though maybe it's time I should set it up, some old games are fun
Meanwhile RetroarChads like me have 2k hours in it.

I don't need to browse reddit, twitter, facebook, anything when you homosexuals can't stop screenshotting your own posts and sharing them here.

Because they're hilariously not self-aware at all. You'd only be offended by me having them saved if you find them embarrassing.

did you play the turbo romhack or original?
Original. It's a favorite of mine, no need to change it. Same with Final Fantasy 2 and 3 on SNES.

How is it?
Yeah, I'm thinking the only novelty about it is it looking/feeling like a gameboy for a cheap price.
it very good
i buy several
my wife love it too
Are you RetroGamesCorps perchance?
no but he very good person who say many good thing about device
you are so unfunny it hurts to watch

GOOD MORNING!
RG35 IS GOOD INVESTNENT YES!
MANY CHILDHOOD FUNS AWAIT!
These are hyped? A retroid pocket 3 can run almost everything currently possible to emulate. Unless it could somehow run GC/PS2 there's no need to upgrade. Hell, even an RG351V will suffice.
like most words, the word "hype" has lost its meaning.
this is much smaller and cheaper than the RP3 anon.
>this guy's wife has 10 consoles that were each used to play dr mario once for 5 minutes
>Mini handheld fun childhood
Looks and sounds like the kind of cheap bootleg toy I usually find in my local store as a kid
That's a bummer, would just modding a 3ds as an emulation device be better?(save for the screen being 240p)
scaling looks really fricked on a 3ds screen because of the resolution, gba and ds look really blury, if you don't mind that then its all good. also batery is not too good.

pointless e-waste garbage
It's my favourite so far for playing everything below 64-bit games on, though I prefer the RetroMini for GBA games specifically.

I want a RG353V now, it looks so sturdy.
The metal anbernic handhelds are your best bet for sturdiness
that's why the miyoo mini comes with a hard case
every time someone forces mention of their wife or girlfriend into a post about video games I start to bleed a bit from the butthole. My babe, frick off with that bullshit, you’re talking about offbrand game boys. Keep it simple.

Oh yeah, and it's fricked if you drop it, the screen is too close to the edges.
any available non chinese brands?
Steam deck
I wish og Xbox emulation wasn't such garbage. I'd love to play Darkwatch and Unreal Championship 2 on a handheld.
MINI HANDHELD FUN CHILDHOOD VERY GOOD SIRS YES
Android handhelds are never worth the hype. Prove me wrong, you can't.
Do these handhelds come with a CRT filter or is it just raw pixels?
depends which ones, the low res ones like in the op don't have filters, the more expensive android based ones can have them. but crt filters are for home consoles not for portables
>low res
What are you talking about?? Even the miyoo mini has filter options. anbernic devices with retroarch can do whatever the frick you want
The anbernic devices are best used with a simple custom OS that has retroarch, which has a shitton of filters and shaders.
why does no one design a handheld with decent ergonomics?
the 353PS is literally designed like a SNES controller
When will horizontal slops learn what the word, "ergonomics" mean?
They finally did.
It's one of the few handhelds that has two rows of shoulder buttons, too.
Idk, I dabbled in these chinkhelds but I think they just arent for me aside from being little picross/tetris machines. I guess I'm too picky with how some systems look. SNES games either have extra lines of pixels or you have to use smoothing filters like pixelate to make it look somewhat decent.

>Buy a system twice the width with an additional screen that you don't need
Literally no reason to do this unless you specifically want to play 3DS games
Wake me up when one of these plays 99% of the GameCube library and fits in my pocket
And europoor 50hz versions don't count
how big is your pocket
Why should I pick this over a ps vita or 3ds
smaller, better screen, better controls, better compatibility, better battery
vita is obsolete and 3ds is only worth it for DS and 3DS games
that will never happen and it would be moronic. just buy a fricking 3ds
>Vita is obsolete, no point in buying a Vita for Vita games, get the lastest chinkshit
>Alternative for DS?! That will NEVER HAPPEN! BUY A 3DS!
your bias is showing
Id rather pay $150 for a 3DS solely for DS/3DS software than whatever that monstrosity you just posted
What is this? It looks perfect for DS/3DS games
LG V60
thanks
what phone is this? I miss my flip phone and this seems like the next logical progression without using a stupid fragile folding screen panel
Still waiting for a retroid pocket flip with a second bottom touch screen for DS emulation.
just get a dsi and hack it
GPD is making a DS handheld
>Dose everything your phone already dose

this is already a downgrade of the RG353V, why would they make a "plus" of it
