From what I've seen and heard, you stand at a booth and check if people's credentials are valid.
From that description, it sounds like the most boring game in existence, but am I wrong? What got critics and the public so riled up about it, and is it really worthwhile?
go fucking play it
I don't think it would be fun for you specifically
It's not for you, you retarded reactionary monkey
bump
Sounds like the 100th version of Call of Duty is more your speed kid.
Its weird.
I wouldn't call it fun per se, but its engaging and the small events you come across make it worthwile.
Its just a fairly unique game.
Calm down people, I have no problem with a nice, snow game and I've never played a CoD game before, I'm just curious is the gameplay requires more thought than noticing the face on the papers doesn't match the person giving them to you. You sound like the people who hear that someone doesn't like X slower-paced movie and say "heh, go stick with your Transformers movies XDDDD."
This is more what I was curious to hear. I'll probably give it a shot.
I don't ask these things because I want my opinions formed for me, I just like to see people talk amongst themselves about the game to get the gist of what the experience is like.
I'll look into that one as well, cheers
In the time it took for you to make and reply to this thread, you could have already downloaded it.
Trusting Ganker in any capacity is a terrible idea, just play the game.
it's fine but still you should play The Imperial Gatekeeper instead
one of the very few games that actually use the medium to tell its story.
its good. i prefer not tonight
Looks fucking kino.
Is it?
its one of my favourite games tbh. the writing is fucking fantastic. same with the sequel, which i think barely anyone played.
gameplay is fun (more fun than papers please, imo. it swaps out some of the complexity of the checks for time pressure, as you have to hit quotas of people admitted into the club. still gets pretty complex towards the end). music is fantastic, adn as mentioned before, the writing is some of the best ive encountered. you probably have to be a bong to really get the most out it, but i still think non-bongs should be able to enjoy it.
it is pretty anti-brexit, and anti-conservative by extension, so if youre very right wing you might not like it, but its satire done right imo. its genuinely funny as opposed to just being "orange man bad"-tier retardation. so loing as you dont take yourself/your politics too seriously, you should be fine. im by no means a leftist and i still loved it. i guess thats the tradeoff of a somewhat realer setting than arstotzka.
the sequel is set in america and satirises a ton of different american things, so that might be better if youre a burger. i also felt it was a bit more well-rounded politically in its satire; the left are still ultimately the good guys but they get made fun of too, along with a bunch of other random shit like casinos, megachurches, and kfc. also theres a level that kinda makes fun of natives iirc? its not any sort of continuation of the story in the first game outside of some recurring characters, so you could play either one first. theyre similar gameplay wise, though 2 has some more minigames and stuff
either way, strongly recommend both games so long as you arent an uptight 4chantard about politics
Thanks, Nigel.
Bob's your uncle!
What?
Are you not a bong?
i am. i know bobs youre uncle, idk thanks nigel
I was thanking you for your well thought out and lengthy opinion on Not Tonight.
And we refer to bongs as 'Nigel' here. Just like how we refer to Canadians as 'Leaf'.
Bob's your uncle!
huh, ive never heard that. and i lived in burgerland for a bit
I meant on Ganker, Nigel.
Also, stay on your side of the pond.
Or else.
Bob's your uncle!
>I meant on Ganker, Nigel.
oh, ive only ever heard bong on here and ive been around for years. oh well
I didn't try 2 since it looked like Trump Derangement Syndrome: The Game. Is it?
nah, i wouldnt say so. there are definitely bits about him, but they shit on the dems as well iirc, and like i said in my original post they do a whole bunch of other retarded american stuff as well. the maga expys are defintely the bad guys, and the third act is a little heavy on them, but at no point did it feel like "reeeeee drumpf", and like i said in my first post, the writing is actually how satire is supposed be be - funny as opposed to "thing i dont like is bad"
Well can you give us your opinion tomorrow?

Its not just credentials, they start to add a lot of stuff for you to compare.
You have to check ID, dates, districts, work visas, entry permits, etc etc basically a lot of shit, its gets really fun
they give you also sidequests in the middle of the day for some stuff,
Paper's Please is a classic.
Since there is a massive time crunch, which is not enough to pass enough people though to pay your pills in time, you need to be fast.
That need for speed means that it becomes a hectic game of balancing speed with not making too many mistakes.
Yes, it's fun
It's a puzzle game with a novel setting you idiot
>is tetris ACTUALLY any good?
This is a game that falls under high art, one of the few.
The fact you had to ask means you won't like it.
no, it's one of those games where it was all about the hype and playing it to talk about playing it on the internet, nobody actually played because it was good or fun. If you missed the hype wave, just don't bother. Go find the latest hyped game and play that and enjoy it while the hype is happening and everybody talks about it and makes meme.
I enjoyed playing it and there's nothing really enjoyable about the subject matter.
Meh
But Imperial Gatekeeper is kino
Yes, it's a very fun sort-of puzzle game. If the gameplay wasn't genuinely compelling then the procedure-type gameplay wouldn't have become popularized, it has good writing and visuals to boot.
I hate games with time limits.
It has a mode with no time limits
it's unique novelty and it does interesting things with its premise, and it doesn't overstay its welcome
it's not GOTYAY OMG I'M GONNA PLAY THIS FOR YEARS, it's "wow, these ~10 hours were really unique"
>it's not GOTYAY OMG I'M GONNA PLAY THIS FOR YEARS, it's "wow, these ~10 hours were really unique"
the latter is unironically a better experience than the former. i personally dont know if id put papers please in that category, but i agree with ur sentiment
I unironically find it too stressful to enjoy
