yep, normies don't care about the series anymore outside of maybe FFXIV despite the games being catered towards them
square enix has a lot of shills here who'll claim the series hasn't been on a massive decline for over a decade but the sales numbers and the games getting mogged heavily by other japanese titles like elden ring and zelda TOTK says otherwise
For context : the devs wanted to prove that it was possible to take it down so they made a video about it. The thing is that video took months to make and the kill was only possible thanks to the non-existant delay between their PC and the server. The fight also depended on completely hidden and incoherent factors like the day of the week. And to finish it not only did you had to do a long series of quests to get the honor to beat it but his drop was offensively bad.
It was also buffed every time powercreep happened and every cheese strat got patched as soon as they where discovered.
This boss is one of the worst in*game "fuck you" devs can give to their community.
I mean, I think it's pretty cool that a whole server would have to go the long mile to beat a boss. I liked Odin in the shroud in XIV a lot, and even with the absolute insanity that was benediction and everything else that made him a chore, the intention behind him is something that I wish was in game design today.
It is sad it ended up being like that.
It was a great chance to make a challenge boss that evolves over time.
Offer a unique reward that doesnt affect the game meta but is instrad meant as braging rights.
Make it stupid hard to defeat, but everytime someone finds a way, announce it, give the reward and change him.
That way you have a race to defeat him, people hoping the be “one of the guys who defeated him, and of the only group in the server that defeated his (insert patch) version.
Instead it became the devs stealth pet.
Soul Charge parrying Everyone's Grudge never stops being satisfying. I need to pick this back up. I got filtered by Tiamat on top of shitty performance.
>rare random encounter that will send you back to the last save point if you don't set up your party to specifically prepare for it
Wasting the players time isn't a replacement difficulty. FF7 is dogshit
So is SoP supposed to be like some kind of weird retelling of FF1 like FF7R was? I didn't get any of it spoiled but I watched my brother play some of the early missions and it had the pirates in it.
>Playing FF7R hardest difficulty. >Hell House spits out TWO of these bastards from its' door.
Very rare for a game to make me vocalize my feelings but I let out a "fuck" when that happened .
i'm trans btw
i'm straight btw
These games progressively turned to shit. There was one last good one and then everything went down the crapper.
>There was one last good one
Based XV enjoyer
I was actually talking about Dirge of Cerberus.
This, 13 and beyond is the epitome of 'Western targeted goyslop'
Finally. Another X-2 enjoyer.

Tonberry in the houuuuse
Nah, Malboros are way worse. Tonberries are only dangerous when theres more than one.
For what purpose was this made? The devs self insert? The assmad was glorious but its shit deving that he kept throwing temper tantrums.

Nothing but an ant compared to Jack GODland
Runic Everyone's Grudge or Numb
Soul Charge parrying Everyone's Grudge never stops being satisfying. I need to pick this back up. I got filtered by Tiamat on top of shitty performance.
If it helps, Tiamat's posture is easy to break as long as you're cutting off her heads and hitting her from the back
XIII-2 was amazing. And you guys really need to stop pretending it's not.
Also lmao at this entire thread.

Alternate Universe prequel, I think? The Lufenians from the first game live in some pocket dimension while they mess with Cornelia for eons
