For anything Gen 4 or 5, you can use the DNS abuse trick to get all the event mons if you have those games.
For Gen 6 and 7, if you mod your 3DS you can use PKHeX to put mystery gifts on your games.
This way it's as "legit" as you can get them.
thing is I got my 3DS back in the XY leak banwave, dont know if I can do that, but im currently updating luma to see if I cant get any of those methods to work
