It's closer to Deus Ex HR in terms of structure and design, going between explorable hubs for sidequesting and general policing and bespoke shooting galleries for the major story beats
Speaking of the hubs, can you go back to them after story missions? I just started the game, and I'm in the first area, and there's a few safes in some of the areas, and I wanted to go back after I get my safe opening skill up.
It's Urban Chaos: Riot Response but your body is the riot shield and it has durability this time for balance sake. Also they let you talk to people for funsies(beat them with your metaphorical night stick anyway btw)
>the main bad guy being defeated in a cutscene.
I liked how Robocop just shot his hand off. Robocop had literally just mowed down an army and the guy literally only got that far because of the OCP sabotage, and without that he was just a bitch.
>And the only gameplay is shamble around and fire pistol.
You can pick up other guns that are pretty fun to use, throw objects, grab dudes, punch, and have special abilities.
>he is bump rushing enemies with dash, grabbing them by the throat, throwing them around while making bad murphy puns in his head and then using shockwave into slowmo and headshotting enemies
>mercs show up >getting my ass kicked because they're so armored >remember i have a board with piercing >they start dying in like three hits
I didn't spec into combat skills at the start, but the upgrades for the Auto 9 more than make up for it.
It's a bit jank and has some technical problems, especially when it comes to audio and the sidequest design is minimum effort but it's made with absolute reverence and respect for the source matetial and its themes and humour and doesn't impose its own voice on top of it.
The combat gameplay is also excellent and most of the environments are viscerally destructive, it delivers on the power fantasy of being a walking tank nearly impervious to gunfire and blasting an office to pieces with a long barrel Beretta 93R.
its not bad, I personally wouldn't recommend it if you're not interested in RoboCop though. I just ran into a pretty bad crash where it borked my NVME until I power cycled.
didnt they make terminator resistance? i played that a bit, didn't see the appeal but the clips i saw looked alright, art design and production design appeals to me, i like how stuff breaks
Got to fight the mercenaries and tried out the off brand G11, whoever made the animations for this game must have been a huge G11 fanboy. Spinning the crank by rotating Robos hand 360 is genius.
It's a very solid shooter based on a classic movie. Maybe a bit longer than it needed to be and it's a shame it only has two real bossfights but if you want a fun FPS and/or like the movie it's easy to recommend.
play it and find out homosexual
I’m about to build a new pc for it that’s why I’m asking
Its pure unfiltered fun.
I heard it’s reminiscent of old starbreeze games like riddick and the darkness. Would you say that’s accurate?
fuck no
What a shame

Albeit stealth is obviously not an option.
How big are the hub areas?
There's only one, it's not that big.
Speaking of the hubs, can you go back to them after story missions? I just started the game, and I'm in the first area, and there's a few safes in some of the areas, and I wanted to go back after I get my safe opening skill up.
no, once you go back to the police station you're locked out
Every safe has the combo nearby, you just need scanning 2.

Just finished it. It sucks but it has some kino moments
Whoever said that is on crack
>contrarian shills
retard
You never shilled something because it wasn’t popular? I did this a lot when I was younger.
>"contrarian shill"
the level of irony
It's my GOTY. A couple a things were disappointing like Lewis getting sidelined and the main bad guy being defeated in a cutscene.
>the main bad guy being defeated in a cutscene.
I liked how Robocop just shot his hand off. Robocop had literally just mowed down an army and the guy literally only got that far because of the OCP sabotage, and without that he was just a bitch.
it's a classic 80s action hero coming back after 30 years
it's good regardless
HE BLEW MY FUCKING HAND OFF
Imagine playing CP2077 with 1/20th the budget, half the charisma (mostly riding on the back of a great IP).
And the only gameplay is shamble around and fire pistol.

I would shot him with water and watch him freeze up with rust.
>he is bump rushing enemies with dash, grabbing them by the throat, throwing them around while making bad murphy puns in his head and then using shockwave into slowmo and headshotting enemies
Robocuck was a shit retarded movie, so the game is shit and retarded by default.
Robocop 1&2 are pretty damn good. 3 sucks.
>t. detroit PD
Robocop 1987 is a mega-classic that still holds up.
>the mercs shitting themselves as you slaughter them
>mercs show up
>getting my ass kicked because they're so armored
>remember i have a board with piercing
>they start dying in like three hits

The final city map was amazing, you're now a death machine against early enemies.
>Main Objective
>Destroy the ED-209
lol, i was wondering what the bad mural looked like
didnt they make terminator resistance? i played that a bit, didn't see the appeal but the clips i saw looked alright, art design and production design appeals to me, i like how stuff breaks

the shooting and animations look horrible yet I don't see anyone really talking about it
because youre wrong

It's good if you are a fan of the movies
It's Meh otherwise
How can you not be a fan of one of the best action movies ever made?
combat is boring af. refunded it after 2 hours
It's euro jank but serviceable enough to the IP
>Robocope
GOTY
7/10 max if you like robocop.
