Probably not. It didn't sell very well. It'll be a year in a week from now, if it's going to be a surprise drop they wouldn't announce it before then but there have been no rumblings either, in fact, squenix has been supremely quiet because of the failure of forspoken, so it seems unilkely they'd throw some cash at an sop re-launch on steam.
Could also be they're intending to release a complete version of the game with everything baked in to one download instead of having downloads separate.

Establishing a new deal, having to update even more to be compatible with steamworks, acknowledging it with a marketing campaign, etc will hurt the bottom line considering it sold like shit on PC already, yes. What are the odds someone double dips? What are the odds someone wants to buy it at all after all the shitflinging about MUH CHAOS that turned it into a joke around release?
It's not like they can just drag and drop the game into a folder that says "steam" and bam it's on there, that shit costs money, and lots of time.

Squeenix didn't advertise any epig exclusives coming to steam. I'm not even sure they bought a steam banner for any of them except FF7R. Social probably didn't mention it. They well surpassed sales for FF7R when it was on epig.
They probably going to release the full version but the epic deal ruined it's time to shine

As someone who loves this game, there's no point. 90% of the players are on PS5/PS4, and even then the game is pretty dead.

Not sure, but it's a good game. Get it however you can on PC without the EGS stuff. Fun to do a level every once in a while it has lasted me a long time.
I've been waiting for all the DLC to be out, has that happened yet?

it's too recuperate costs up front in a guaranteed way. to help lure people away from steam to egs where they probably aren't even paying egs a cut of the profits. it is 100% a publisher decision. the only games that do it are ones that aren't confident in their sales or marketing that need to make sure they get x amount of money. timmy tencent is just being used to almost no effect. their apple lawsuit showed us no one buys any games from them.

Tim guarantees them a certain amount of profit for doing so and will pay out of pocket if the sales aren't enough. Good news is that this means the devs won't bother with denuvo, so if you aren't a pathetic zoomer coward the game is really easy to pirate.

epig is moving to less exclusives but bigger game exclusives with longer exclusivity deals. I think it is highly unlikely to come to steam in 1 year. Most likely 2-5 years. Kingdom Hearts still hasn't come to steam while Neo TWEWY has. ofc, there's always the possibility that it is a permenant exclusive. if that were the case though, I'd expect a leak about it. I have no doubt timmy tencent would like nothing more than to lock down a few permanent exclusives for his garbage store.
