Did you know you can shoot this guy with the Thunder Bolt to power him up and make him drive back and forth like a maniac? Spring Man has a similar mechanic, you can hit him with it and he'll become electrically charged and slam you into the ceiling, alluding to how Wild Coil can be charged for higher bounces.
Say what you will about MM7, but it was full of soulful little touches and secrets. If you really want a chuckle, shoot Freeze Man with his own weapon during the rematches.
That game will always have a special place in my heart for being the very first Mega Man game I'd ever own and play. As I got older I was genuinely surprised at the spurn it received from just about everyone.
Why do people shit on MM2GB so hard? The music is fricked up but I never found anything that terrible about the gameplay besides it being too easy. It doesn't deserve to be counted among the worst MM games at all.
>normal to easy difficulty game, especially if you use boss weaknesses >if you don't go in with full e-tanks on final Wily you will absolutely lose, even with his weakness weapon. Practice will barely make a difference unless you really grind the fight a lot.
Did they think the game was too easy and then try to make up for it with an absolute bullshit final Wily fight?
Underrated, but some of the people who don't hate it overrate it as well. It's right around the middle of the Classic series in quality, if it had longer RM stages and better Castle bosses it would be higher.
What do people see in X4? That game is piss easy and most of the time it feels like shit's just happening with no rhyme or reason, like they just wanted to show off a billion sprites on screen at once.
The special weapons are garbage too and both X and Zero feel way too weighty and slow compared to the SNES games.
I also hate how the floor sprites are angled it looks awful and is bad for platforming, good thing the game barely has any challenging jumps anyway.
Yes, MMX6 has the best Zero gameplay, 10/10 soundtrack, good mavericks/investigators design, and the best variety of armors, the level design is okayish, nightmare effects give more variety and difficulty. You would know that if you have played the game.
Pretty good.
It is, the OST is great too.
It is. Go into it with the mindset of it being a sequel to the Game Boy games rather than the NES ones and you'll appreciate it a lot more.
7 doesn't even have the worst screen ratio in the series but I guess the sprites being so bulky gives it that illusion.
The best
Not bad at all but feels like an off-brand mega man game
Classic Mega Man doesn't really work outside the NES.
the bosses are cool

Yes.

There isn't a single bad mainline classic mega man game
Not even Mega Man II on Game Boy?
Even II GB is fun, if really, really rough.

If you can look past the oversized sprites, sure. It has one of the best Wily castles in the series.

There are 140 mega man games. They are all borderline identical.
t. clearly never played them
No

Yeah its good. good luck with the final boss though
It was made in 3 months. Pretty impressive actually.
>MM7 was made in 3 months
>turned out pretty good
>X6 was made in 9 months
>turned out colossally shit
What happened?
X6 is good, though.
>X5 was made in three years
>it's underwhelming compared to X4
I think X5's quality can just be attributed to them blowing all their budget on X4 and MM8 with all the anime cutscenes and voice acting.
What do people see in X4? That game is piss easy and most of the time it feels like shit's just happening with no rhyme or reason, like they just wanted to show off a billion sprites on screen at once.

Filtered and repeating e-celeb opinions
>all opinions contrary to mine stem from e-celebs

Wow. It's amazing how wrong you are
>doesn't elaborate
Yup another case of being bad at games. Now quickly go and watch a review of your average e-celeb so you can refute what I said
Nice projecting gay but I did play the game, that's how I know its shit.
Good fricking lord
Anyone who thinks Ground Scaravich's stage is okay needs a bullet in the head.
Yeah, but try the NES version. It's actually better.
Good for a SNES game, underwhelming for a Mega Man game.
it's ok. the wily capsule in this game is a ball buster.
Sprites too big/10
Meme aside, its fine.
It's a good game, but not great. No classic Mega Man game is bad. Has one of the shittiest selection of special weapons though.
What happens to robot masters when they die
they blow up non-fatally, and Dr. Light can (usually) rebuild them.
Good game. Has the hardest Wily fight in the classic series.
Freeze Man with buster only is very fun, that alone makes it worth trying out
The best of the Classic SNES games.
