I liked 4 and 5 is my favorite. It took about an hour and a half of playing 6 before I dropped it completely. It's such obviously rushed and buggy slop. I was drunk playing it too, so my standards were significantly lower.
Don’t do it anon I just played this my sister bought it for me as a gift so I was forced to play it. It is hands down the most posed whole bullshit I have ever seen in a game. It’s so bad that even with me know that it was going to be pozzed I was shocked just how much it was. Every mission every side quest has some sort bullshit in it. It’s so in your face about the agenda it has. Do not play it it’s legitimately the worst game I have ever played in my life. It could be used as a torture technique that is how how bad it is. Nothing can prepare you for how pozzed this game is.

not as good as 5 but its tolerable, there are some cool characters and missions but its mostly bland.
Also no who ever said the gameplay is good is lying it’s the worst gameplay of the entire series. The ai is so braindead and bad they barely see you or react to you at all. They also put in a system where you have to pay attention to what bullet types you use otherwise the enemies turn into bullet sponges. So if you want to headshot an enemy who is wearing cloth and no helmet but god forbid toy shoot him with with an armor piercing round well it’s just not going to kill him for some reason you shoot hon twice. This is not so bad in the late game because if you get guns that are powerful enough you can just use armor piercing rounds and headshots will kill everything but only with the best most rare guns that mind you are all random in lootboxs that you have to find in the world. I spent like 5 hours trying to get an sos searching every fnd crate untill I finally got it. Then you don’t need to worry about what bullets you use. The fire effects suck for far cry they have these gay ass backpacks you have to wear you can’t take them off and they have these like super power bullshit. They have the moron weapons from new dawn that make no sense. They have a studded wiener (Chicken) as a companion and a crippled Wienerdog as a companion too. The missions are garbage even if you get past the woke shit you have terrible quests. Most of the outposts suck there was only one I enjoyed taking over. Its the worst gameplay in the entire series

It’s not as bad as it would have been at launch. You can switch it on the fly now as long as you have the different types made but if you use the most powerful guns you can use armor piercing rounds for everything and as long as you get head shots it will not be too bad. I would say the only good thing about the gunplay are the sounds but far cry had always nailed gun shots so that is not new. I didn’t find the gun play as satisfying because the ai is so bad. They will forget they are fighting you and run back and forth like idiots and just let you kill them. The ai is so bad that you can’t enjoy the combat.

Oh the memories. One of the missions forced me to listen to a character talk about how they were bullied for being a vegan for a whole minute. You just stand there and listen.
Another one has a cutscene where all the characters are celebrating after dealing with some canadian businessman. Somebody says "I guess someone should give a speech?". Nobody says anything for a couple seconds, then an old guy decides he'll give one. As soon as he opens his mouth the player character says "You've had your time!" and then motions to an old woman to give the speech instead.
What else is there? The leader of the rebels is a girl and there's a cutscene where another women tells her that ruling the country is only for "fair skinned" people, despite the fact that the country's leader is literally a black man.
The troony that everyone goes on and on about how she's super brave and fearless and even had her breasts removed without anesthesia

There are no "stats", there are no "damage numbers", there are no "health bars" that dictate the gunplay in any form or shape.

and no they do not only with sniper rifles i believe, every other weapon you will need multiple head shots
No 100% if you have an sks which does the most damage in the game for some reason will one shot kill and of the hispanics in the head if you are using armor piercing rounds. If you are using soft target rounds it is like a 50/50 it will take out some armored enemies sometimes it won’t. But I did have the rifle modded to have increased damage while aiming increased damage to enemies below my level and increased damage to body shots. But without those mods I’m not sure if it will always be a one shot kill to heads as long as you have armor piercing rounds. I would assume the barret you get at the end of the game that gives you additional damage to headshots could make soft target rounds feasible. I did a lot of testing in the game the past few days. Regardless it’s a terrible game with a shitty system there was no reason to get rid of a skill tree and put it on clothes you have to swap out constantly
