Is using linux in parallels on macos a valid setup for gaming?

I'd consider it (Linux) over Windows because it's more lightweight. Did anyone try this setup?

I am honestly just trying to save him the frustration as someone who's been through the process before. It's either take my suggestion, find a mac version of the game compiled for arm, or don't play. What do you suggest he does?

I'd say yes. The only thing I use windows for is Porofesor for league of Legends, since it's just to good of QoL improvement. I also used to run ModOrganizer2 under windows due to the billion of dependencies.
Everything else I play on Linux.

I feel bad for you anon, you willingly spent money to get that garbage and now you are sad because that computer can't do anything.

What have you learned from your mistakes?

I'll never understand you Apple tards. You itoddlers never learn. Imagine buying an overpriced under powered computer that overheats and melts the keyboard just to run what's essentially a closed source Linux that has spyware built in. Every time you open an app or type something it calls home, it embeds personal data into everything you do online. There's nothing special about you. You're a boring moronic boomer who grew up using old Macintosh computers. b***h we used Chromebooks. You don't see me frothing at the mouth trying to buy Chromebooks. I get that it's an escape from your wife who constantly belittles you or your shitty job and you come home to a single room apartment because you're stuck paying alimony while she's riding Tyrone. But anon remember 2 things
        1) Macs aren't special
        2) if Tyrone's dick falls out, she grabs it and puts it back in and wraps her legs around him, greedily taking his entire load.

Face it, you'd do better to have a nice day. I have more respect for morons who buy old thinkpads and hack them. At least they're doing something cool. All you're doing is throwing good money away. Your exwife and apple have something in common, neither are worth a dime. So why don't you do something with your life? Read a Bible for crying out loud. She left you because you're a worthless cuck who apologizes for being a man. You're not a man, you never were.

I hate apple and all who use their products so much it's insane. I wish nothing but the worst for your life. Why? Because you're boring. A consumer with no future, no hope, no dreams. Just trying to recreate the magic of childhood to stave off the sinking depression. You could be somebody but you're choosing to play video games. On a Mac. That's known for being shit. You're pathetic.

Name one laptop with the same price range than m1 macbook pro that is better than the said macbook. I dont use mac (or windows), but recognize how much better they are at the moment in the laptop sector. If I could have the performance and battery of newest macbook on linux I would be very happy man.

Literally any gaming laptop. The new core ultra laptops are insane. Ryzen laptops are just incredible. It's not like pcs stayed stagnated, technology moved forward.

              >jet engines turn on as soon as you start processing something
Yeah okay. Laptops are supposed to be versatile and sleek to allow workflows to continue seamlessly even when you're not at your office/home setup. I have very high end 2022 work laptop and its fricking shit to use on the go.

Also jet engines? When was the last time you bought a laptop? 2010?

My intel core ultra lasts 17 hours on a charge running Ubuntu. 18.5 with Windows 11. It weighs 1.2kg and has a rtx 4050 in it. Oled screen. Macs aren't special but you certainly are. Fricking moron.

I tried Fedora on my laptop and it's fricking ridiculous how fast it dies compared to windows.

Performance is still dogshit stuck at 8gb of RAM which are -not- "like 16gb on windows". You want to run any windows software (not just games) and I'm not sure about that fricking performance when you have to handle it through a VM anyways. At least before you had x86 MBPs, you could dual or multiboot, now it's just relying on fricking parallels or sluggish VMWare.
For $1k today you get a nice Ryzen CPU, more than enough battery life, non-soldered storage you can replace, a high res ""retina"" screen, even that OLED meme if you want, and 16GB of DDR5 RAM.

Well if they try to run Linux natively, it burns out the SSD. Apple firmware will notice it's not mac os and kill itself.
