i thought i was exaggerating when i said 400, what in the actual unholy mother of all fricks
what does he talk about for so long? why wario land 4?
I've read it, it's 700+ pages because it is full of screenshots and maps and illustrations that explain why X part of Y stage is well designed. It's not just words words words.
It's a real shame Ninty doesn't make more Wario games or merge it with SMB. Captain Toad shows they can segway between platforming styles on a whim so having stages designed so they can be navigated by both Mario and Wario in a single game while keeping their different mechanics intact would be dope.
Best Wario game I can think of combines all the best elements of Land 1-4 while keeping the visuals more minimal or at least not as cancerous as the Shake It game.
I wrote an essay racism in highschool using Tales of Symphonia as my base. I got a really good grade and the teacher wondered what book I based it on, haha.
I actually just read the book on the development of UFO: Enemy Unknown (X-Com). Never bothered with a video game book before, this one was really good for a bit of insight into Julian Gollop's character and how that informs the game (he's a british tabletop nerd) and European home computer culture.
Pretty enjoyable reading, 32/40. Easy recommendation if you like the game.
Why are his arms like that
yeah they should be blue
He stopped lifting and started reading.
damn this brings memories. iirc it is an actual book by a turboautist that is 400 fricking pages long right?
Nope apparently he is a turbo normie who wasn't too much of a gamer. He just thought WL4 was so good he needed to write a book about it.
You couldn't comprehend this power

Because it is wario’s greatest achievement.

lol is this all the same guy??
If this person had been ten years younger, he'd be a video essayist.
sounds like a pretty cool guy
As I said before apparently its a normal dude with a wife and children. He just really loved Wario Land 4.
>writes a 700 (seven hundred) page book about the one game he played
>not a turbo autist
is it actually good tho
yes
This is the same book where he talks about sitting in his car so he could play gameboy away from his family, right?
