It has been 19 years, 2 weeks, and 4 days since an F-Zero title was released. When questioned as to why Nintendo has not released a new F-Zero game in all these years, Miyamoto expressed confusion, asking what players wanted from an F-Zero game that they hadn't already offered.

Ruminating on this, you step into the elevator, and to your surprise, Miyamoto himself stands beside you. You have less than 30 seconds to pitch your new F-Zero gimmick to Miyamoto and convince him to make a new game.

How do you save the F-Zero series?

There's nothing to save. The series is dead save for Smash and 35 year old Nintenboomers whining for a new game in the series. Nobody under that age of 25 cares about F-Zero

Yes, I'm a Zoomer, but that's how it is. If you were 15 playing F-Zero GX upon release you are 34 now.

Honestly his excuse for "needing a new idea" for F-Zero is kinda weird when you consider that X and GX were both pretty straight forward and natural evolutions of each other and the SNES game. Like you look at Star Fox and that series was always all over the place in terms of gimmicks, the only two plain rail-shooters the series ever had were just SF1 and SF64. Even SF2 was already heavily diverging from the original formula.

I would like to a see an actual simulaion futuristic racer. I know that is an oxymoron as you can't simulate what already isn't real but I want a futuristic racer with a career mode where I can buy parts, adjust downforce and gear ratios etc

When the old guard die off Nintendo will either get way better or 100x worse.

So it's honestly a coin flip. We might have a black Mario princess in the next decade for example. Or we could get a new F-Zero game.

    It's pretty worrisome.
