I find it very interesting that all this COD hate just so happened to coincide with first release after the Microsoft buy out. It's obviously astro turfed. There's an agenda here from the very biased to Sony gaming media.
I'm conflicted, because it absolutely is primarily being driven by people simping for Sony, but it's also been a long time coming for these particular devs/franchises to start getting flak.
This. It’s actually a good game, looks better than Cold War but Snoy shill force is in overdrive
I agree it feels like stretched out DLC with some good moments here and there so I cannot say it is the worst game I have ever played but COD as a franchise isn't good.
However I do want the narrative to stick, see if that forces Activision to make amends and release free content.
If you ask me the issue is that COD gameplay is terrible but the sandbox approach is not bad, it felt like when you tard out in MGSV, so I had fun just killing everyone with the OP weapons getting as crazy as I could. I think I had more fun playing this one than COD4 but the enemy A.I is not up for the task and I can think of 5 filler missions, one could had just been a cutscene. The dam mission needed a larger map but I had fun on that one, the finale mission was really good.
That said, I can totally believe Snoy cultists want this to bomb because of console fanaticism.

MW3 is just the year 2 DLC for MW2 that they cynically repackaged as a new game at full price. If anything, it's a very slight improvement over MW2 with some welcome classic maps and weapons.
It's whatever. It's the Madden of shooters, anyone expecting something different at this stage is just retarded.
Not a coincidence Kotick made sure to shove out a stinker right around the acquisition
Couldn't help but squeeze for every last penny on the way out
Hope he fucking croaks the day he retires
You're right but this is their worst game since BlOps IIII so I don't feel particularly compelled to defend it
I've hated cod since 2009. When they robbed me of my ability to run my own servers.
I used to run and manage dozens of cod2 and cod4 custom map servers. First for the United Noobs community. Clan Tag: {UN}. Then for Unreal Zark Alliance clan. Clan Tag: {UZA}.
But I had a falling out with the UZA cucks because I didn't enforce their draconian laws on 'cussing.' I let too many petty things slide. They dragged me into a ventrilo channel and lambasted me about letting kids say nagger too often without punishing them. And revoked my admin powers.
So I made my own clan and server; The Kool Kidz Klub. Clan Tag: KOOL, because KKK and variants thereof, were already in use by other clans. I stole the original map rotation from UZA and added many maps that they refused to let me play. Because of my leniency, chillness, wide and ever changing map variety, and tendency to crack down on admin abuse. I was quickly able to supersede my old clan in cod2 custom server map popularity. I had opened over a dozen servers from east to west coast. I even had affiliates overseas in europe and australia too.
When cod4 released nobody at first wanted to play custom maps. Because of stats. But after a while, people got bored of vanilla cod4 and sought out more interesting gameplay experiences.
Then activision decided to screw me over and remove dedicated server support from MW2(2009). I was part of the steam boycott group. But it failed. I went back to cod4 for a while. But by the time of MW3's release, interest in older cod games had all but evaporated. The donations that once came in that fueled my empire dried up. After about a year of running on empty I gave up and shuttered my servers.
Shame really. The world now more than ever needs a place to be able to chill and relax, let your hair down without worrying about offending some tranny or having to walk on eggshells. I'd do it. But I just cant be arsed anymore. I have a family and they come first.
COD needs dedicated servers on PC but the approach is to release these shits as quick as possible and never do anything for the older titles to the point old COD games on pc have RCE vulnerabilities. Even on xbox, it was crazy all you could do in the COD games before the Xbone.
What I am saying is that you are right but as the image proves, a lot more people are fine with the way Activision handles business. I really want people to shit on MW3 see if some pressure forces Activision to release good content post launch.
Which reminds me, I think Activision one day "fixed" a few COD titles on PC but that lasted like a weekend before it all went back to being a exploit haven similarly to open battle.net
I'm not asking for developers to support their old games. I want to still be able to play old games without hindrance.
It's sad how whipped modern gamers are. They just consume and consume. Without ever stopping to savor the flavor of the current moment. Cod and Ubisoft are the worst offenders in that regard. Because all their titles look, act and feel the same. I may have not bought a single cod game post 2008. But I have played them(Mostly due to free weekends). And there is little difference between cod games from 2009 onwards. Ubisoft literally just reskins their shit games every single fucking year. Only AC4 felt different.
The hate campaign is definitely astroturfed but that campaign also absolutely is rancid dog shit. Nobody will fucking care in a month when the next battle pass and Warzone maps releases though.
i kinda enjoy it, but regardless everything gets bad reviews these days. the gaming community has been sprialing into toxicity further and further since 2018, their is no more nuance anymore, its all bad no matter what and if you say otherwise your a *insert publisher here* bootlicker.
Reminder Sony admitted in the leaked documents the money they got from CoD hard carried their game division and was way higher than their actual 1st party games and said money was how they were actually able to fund all their movie games
Its funny seeing people seethe at MW3 for reasons like “being shit” and “should have stayed a DLC to MW2” because it immediately outs them as having no idea what they’re talking about, let alone having ever played MW2 or 3.
MW2 is shit and MW3 saved the franchise’s multiplayer.
>MW2 is shit and MW3 saved the franchise’s multiplayer.
This, MW3 campaign is better in that Mw2 campaign is so fucking terrible, MW3 bright side is that since the "story" is spread so thin, there is not a lot to get mad at. I want Sledgehammer to own the sandbox aspect but keep the linear spectacle missions too, the last missions is how I want Sledgehammer / Raven COD to be like moving forward.
The Rooftop
Great idea but this needed to be a scripted mission with maybe 3 different paths and again, longer. Mimicking Dreed / The Raid was kino.
The Dam.
The map needs to be way larger, with multiple approach options, ways to breach and do the objective. Go crazy. Try to be MGSV, for the love of God just copy MGSV design but do not make a whole open world game just have a few big maps.
The obligatory Ac130 mission.
I kind of like these but MW3 2011 missions was the best of the series.
The end.
I did not expect the game to end with a 141TF mission where they do actual intelligence and reconnaissance stuff. I loved this mission, if only the game had more missions like this.
I agree, but to be honest I see this and starfield like a way for Bobby to make quickbucks before he can't anymore next year
Mostly they just buy out stuff that's already shit, let it sit in the sun to bake for Abit and release it to the masses as smth new.
Yeah, Microsoft made Sledgehammer incompetent. Makes perfect sense.
Call of Duty was always shit.

It's astroturfed definitely. I don't like or care for CoD, but this level of hate its getting isn't organic.

Cod Ghost was a piece of shit, but somehow got a 8/10 from IGN, sony bonus i guess
Microsoft had nothing to do with the development of this game. It even is advertised hard with Playstation 5 because a deal Sony signed a while back.
Hard to say if Microsoft will improve CoD.
Well they can enjoy their TLOU2 gay porn and Mario. I am looking forward to Season 01 on Dec. 6.
Microsoft not even had time to do anything
CoD is always shit but this year marketing isn’t there. If Sony have marketed this game as they did for FF16, it would have a chance.
i kinda enjoy it, but regardless everything gets bad reviews these days. the gaming community has been sprialing into toxicity further and further since 2018, their is no more nuance anymore, its all bad no matter what and if you say otherwise your a *insert publisher here* bootlicker.
(I suck cock by the way, because I no longer have taste in video games after catching COVID and monkeypox from bareback anal sex with a mandingo)
Seething.
TOP SELLING GAME OF ALL FUCKING YEAR.
EVEN ON THE SNOYSOYATATION.
BEATING OUT SPIDERMAN 2.
WHICH IS NOT EVEN TOP 10 ANYMORE
AHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA
Sonysissies….it’s over
Reminder Sony admitted in the leaked documents the money they got from CoD hard carried their game division and was way higher than their actual 1st party games and said money was how they were actually able to fund all their movie games
>Sony now depends Microsoft IPs to fund their Walk and Talk games
There's no way this wasn't a calculated decision on Phil's part
M$ didn't work on this one. If you think this is bad, wait for Microsoft's Call of Duty.

every time i watch people play cod it looks like the same gameplay loop.
nothing has changed.
