This sucked and could've been cut down to 3 hours at least. Deep Blue is still his best
Also anyone know any other youtube channels about esoteric retarded shit
His Wings of Redemption video was the turning point. His vid was such wannabe sentimental documentary shit, and tried to paint that fat fuck in a sympathetic light. And he got SOOOO much damn praise for it by pseudo intellectuals, it was no wonder he tried to repeat the formula. Compare that to Metokur's vid, which gave you a much more condensed and concise history, while mocking the autistic tard for what he actually is.
>tried to paint that fat fuck in a sympathetic light
Does he? He isn't harsh on wings, but he didn't deny when things are absolutely Wing's fault and basically called him lazy in the personal trainer segment.
>Deep Blue is still his best
What a retarded opinion. Its just him naming chess moves. Its on par with the boat one.
For me, its Final Fantasy House. To hear the 2 went on to scam more people through the Hannibal fandom was a cherry on top.
You're a fucking moron, the final fantasy house video is just narration of some forum posts. Deep Blue and May Island were competent documentaries with excellent storytelling and coherent overall messaging and themes.
I agree. The final fantasy house story is one of the most insane things I have ever heard about in my life. It would still be insanely interesting if it were fiction. The fact that it actually happened just blows my mind.
I've watched an entire series on the Hannibal drama from one of the autists (and I suspect tranny) who got pulled into "Jen's" circle. It's even more pathetic and autistic than role-playing Final Fantasy.
This video sucked. It's three times as long as his other really long videos and yet contains much less meaningful content. There are half hour videos on the game that give you a better understanding of what the game is actually like. Additionally, for a video of its length, you would expect at least a cursory overview of game mechanics or the basic elements of the economic system, but these are not present, the content is almost exclusively summarizing corporate warfare and dev drama. Overall, not worth the 2 year wait.
I fucking hate how one of the largest factions in Eve has a stupid name like Pandafam. At least the goons had the sense to rename themselves to something more fitting.
I randomly remembered his channel a few days before it came out and checked his patreon for news and was pleasantly surprised, I can't imagine paying every month for 24 months just to get that video though
>the content is almost exclusively summarizing corporate warfare and dev drama
For anyone who isn't into eve which the video was made for these are the things that are interesting. Some normalfag learning about some game he has never played isn't going to give a shit about that other crap. They want to hear about the drama because it's the only thing the game is famous for.
Since we're talking about EVE, how do you guys feel about that new shooter they were teasing? I don't have much hopes cause it's fucking CCP but yeh also I got an email about it cause I played DUST 514 a long fucking time ago right before it died kek
30gb free space?? You mean to tell me it they are going to optimize it? One of the new call of duty games requires 270 (TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTY GIGABYTES) of free space dude. That is fucking comical
I didn't watch the whole conference but here's what I got out of it
It's gonna be PVPVE, it's going to try and do the same thing DUST did I think and it looks alright.
Here's a link https://youtu.be/bSdm12r1W04?t=2537 skip a bit for the actual gameplay

besides I don't trust my hands enough to actually paint something
From the point of view of someone who knew nothing about Eve before watching this, i really liked the video. I thought the Goons/Empire were really based because i admire them having so much comitment to playing the villain role, also they really held their own against all odds. The casino people sound like immense homosexuals who were exploiting the game and they should have been banned way earlier. Also the most kino thing in the whole video was how the Empire failed to conquer pirate space because despite having less resources and manpower the pirates are just extremely good at fighting
Some people just aren't meant to narrate. He should've hired a narrator or gotten a friend to read his scripts for him, but at this point his voice is too ingrained in his identity to really be changed.

It's pretty good, I like his stuff. His ethos about making fun of autists feels like wild west internet. I'm surprised he's so young. Then again, watching his videos turned my recs into furry land but I love me some furry drama. He's also kind of fair and honest about his subjects, but not like a journalist would be.
I just cannot stand listening to young zoomers speak, even if the content is researched and good.
There's got to be at least 4 hours of filler in this nonsense. I watched it and at least twice I tried to remember the last 30 minutes of what this tard said and couldn't even grab a single point in my mind.
All this EVE shit can basically be summed up as "huh, thats mildly interesting". I can only assume he is a high functioning autist to think it warranted 2 years of his life. People want to see topics on individuals; not a collective of SA goons who probably killed themselves by now.
I've been on both sides of this and so has Ganker as a whole including (you). It mostly comes down to having your one little corner of videogame space that you give a shit about. Esports fans and fighting game fans both talk about their games like they're super high performance sports, shitting their pants over clips of people who have honed playing their one chosen game down to a science. MMO players who really enjoy their experience will recount their inter-group drama and fighting as epic battles in a world full of real consequence when the gameplay mechanics can be a mixture of excel spreadsheets and pattern memorisation. Fans of certain game series or brands will become convinced that a new instalment in their favourite whatever is a groundbreaking event. All these groups can be completely mutually exclusive in their interest and despite existing in larger game-spaces even they have to share space with shit like actual sports, real world conflicts and politics, media in general, etc. Then when you pull all the way out you realise that the importance and excitement of even the big things is relative, international politics mirroring mobile game clan drama because we're all commonly human.
That's all to say that all of this is super lame unless you're passionate about it, and that the account that is most entertaining to outsiders will be embellished if not outright fictional because nobody wants to hear about the boring shit unless they're already so passionate about it that they're actively involved already.
We did though? our space program is basically nonexistent now. You are delusional if you think the moon landing ever happened. The chinese were the first with a drone lmfao
It angers me how insanely common canadians are on the internet way fucking overrepresented considering their population and they always have the most dogshit opinions/beliefs that are physically possible to hold. It's crazy to me how a whole group of people can be that universally shiteating.
I think he sums up why him and his countrymen are salty toward America in his Nortel video. Canada is small, and relies on the United States for lots of its skillsets, and income while we, don't really need persay anything from them.
So he's pissy about the imbalanced nature of US/Canadian economy, which is still stupid, anyone with a brain knows Canada just doesn't have the people, infrastructure, or technology to surpass the US in economics.
What canadians dont realize is successful canadians dont stay in canada they fuck off to other more profitable countries. Hence why they import immigrants at massive rates, because all their talent goes to america leaving the useless ones behind
Canada is good for its oil and its timber. And with Trudy doing his best to make it illegal to exploit both soon Canada will have zero relevance to anyone on the entire planet.
The leaked newsletter from CCP Games talking about microtransactions being a positive for the userbase actually fucks me up and gives me a whole new perspective on how businesses look at shit like this. I know that corpos want to implement things like microtransactions and lootboxes to bring in more money but I always figured they did it knowing it was a scumbag tactic. Like they'd acknowledge that what they're doing ultimately makes the experience less enjoyable for the playerbase but they don't care because they want money more than they want to people consuming their product to enjoy it. But now that newsletter hints at something more devious. Not only are they wanting to implement these bad practices for the bag, but they're also gaslighting themselves into believing that we as a playerbase would actually enjoy the product more and giving overly elaborate explanations for why we'd actually prefer that kind of model. It'd be like if a tapeworm had sentience and convinced itself that what it was doing the host actually enjoys and would prefer to have than not. Now I look at bad practices from businesses, not with the idea that they're just doing out of greed, but that they're going so far as to reprogram themselves to believe that their shitty selfish business models are actually done for the benefit of the ones they're screwing over. Now I'm starting to think of things like Youtube trying harder and harder to disable adblock, less from the idea of Youtube and other websites doing it to get more money, but doing it because they've deluded themselves into believing that people who use the internet actually enjoy it the more ads that there are on a page. It is some real eye-opening and horrific shit to think about.
You're taking it too much at face-value.
Professionalism is lying. There isn't a single aspect of how interpersonal interactions happen within a corporation that's fully, truly honest. The higher ups understand that they're making it worse - however what they're discussing there is the NARRATIVE that justifies the action. In the corporate world, any corporate world, it's always important to separate the narrative from the truth.
You want to know what the scary thing is? They're not actually wrong. At least not for all consumers. Some people do genuinely just like to spend money for the sake of it. Look at star citizen. Now, is whale fishing actually a more viable monetization model for EVE than a fair game with prescriptions? Probably not. But it's certainly not a totally unsubstantiated idea.
Spent a lot of time writing this post but the more I drill down the more I realise it actually just boils down to some naked truths.
People doing shitty things who have sense of conscience will do whatever necessary legwork they need to do to construct a narrative to morally justify whatever they're doing.
It's way easier to justify doing this to people when you tell yourself you're just offering consumers options for self actualisation while blatantly ignoring the broader context and ramifications of all the shit CCP was planning to do. That being said I'm sure people at CCP could have privately justified it to themselves by convincing themselves their players are a huge conspiracy of evil creatures who will use all their money for evil unless it's tricked out of their wallets with predatory business tactics. It genuinely boils down to just whatever helps them sleep at night because as much as I'd love to be a moral absolutist the ideas of what are right and wrong vary so wildly between situations, people, groups, time periods, cultures, etc that I'm just glad that we all broadly agree that things like murder, cannibalism and skub are almost universally considered to be morally wrong.

This is like the Youtube version of highschool kids thinking they're geniuses because they dragged their history essay out to 2 or 3 pages longer than it needed to be
I know the dude is effectively pop-sci rather than lolcow curation (but they'reeffectively on the same level), but it's pretty insane how well CPG (? The glasses stickman guy) Grey manages to avoid these pitfalls for as long as he has. I never really hear people truly bitch abour him.
Half a dozen new sexy ones pop up on Twitter freshly turned 18 (a lot are probably underage and lie too) literally every day I can hardly keep up bookmarking the really hot ones. I wonder what it must be like being young and in school in this era when only like 1/3rd of classes are males, 50% females, and then 20% queer as ice femboys/trannies and a good number of them are hotter than almost all the XX girls.
I tried getting through the whole video and despite its gargantuan length it's way too much condensed information you have to soak in. And unlike his great documentaries like Deep Blue it's just not as engaging, nor does it have the right pacing all the way through. I feel like watching someone explain spreadsheets to me. What has been said half an hour ago is just simply forgotten and you end up with a very bare understanding of the whole topic. It would have been a better idea to cut the video into several smaller parts and release them over the span of two years rather than shitting out this 6 hours boredom. I can appreciate the effort that went into this video but it's my least favourite of his by a longshot.
