I prefer short and sweet games, and most games exhaust their mechanics around the 15 hour mark anyway. plus I'm way more likely to replay shorter games over 100 hour titles
It's a first person adventure game with pretty much nothing but solving puzzles and fighting a few enemies here and there, so about 6-8 hours probably suits it well enough.
Well of course lol
Considering it's more about the atmosphere ala H.R. Giger and that other artist that makes dystopian settings (idr name sorry).
Just hope it's worth playing.
normalgays love 100+ hour games even though they never beat them, see: only 20% of people beating The Witcher 3
even if they never beat it, the hours they spent with it are seen as having more value. maybe because they like to pretend they'll beat it one day? who knows
the dollar per hour homosexuals did irreparable damage to vidya
>even though they never beat them, see: only 20% of people beating The Witcher 3
ah, so you're the guy who worked on cyberpunk 2077 and said it's okay for his game to last less than 30 hours right?
>a rather linear fps being 6-8 hours is now a bad thing
What the frick happened? Does everyone expect this to have crafting, 50 bosses and an elden ring world map?
dev team is pretty small as far as I know, they're just punching above their weight when it comes to visuals and stuff
basically an indie team trying to have AAA presentation
>short game is bad >you didn't have to suffer for long >short game is good >you can just pop it in and enjoy as many times as you want
what's the fricking downside here?
>pay 60$ for a game >finish it in one day
Yeah, no, that's a torrent. In the world where there are plenty of games I can pay less than 60$ for (Factorio, Rim World, Terraria, Slay the Spire, Hades, Isaac, Chivalry 2, MH:Rise, MK11, V Rising, Deep Rock Galatic) and get WAY WAY over the price of what I paid for it in content. Most of them also didn't take 10 years to make either. Disappointing, plain and simple.
Source?

their latest post on steam
>it's 6 - 8 hours long
Yoooo, Scorn bros!

Just like every FPS???

daily rick remender that people hate the batman movie because it lasts 3 hours
Why does every game need to have 80+ hours of content so you can have an excuse to keep them backlogged forever?

you really think Cyberpunk would be better if they tried to make it even bigger? a glutton for punishment I see
If the game was actually good and shipped with all the classes, hell yeah I'd be down for that.
77's length is fine, some of the content isn't. 8 hours for Scorn is also fine if it's a nicely paced kino experience like HL1.
Good I hate long games. I’m like 15 hours into last of us 2 wanting this damn game to be over with
Too long for a walking simulator with some tacked on shooting segments
>~8 hours
>aka the normal game length not so long ago
just means it won't overstay its welcome, thank christ
I heard that it gives you a blowjob when you finish it so it's worth it.

it's not so much that the game is short, it's more like in comparison to how long the game took to be developed
Who cares?

Should be able to play a game for 1000 hours or its shit imo

So normal FPS length. Okay?
Sounds pretty usual to me
