How the fuck is this legal? They arent using unitys servers, why would they have to pay so a user can run it on his machine

It's legal because goys let them get away with it. Placated cattle never take a stand, they will continue paying and continuing shrugging it off because no price is too high for escapism.

How would devs know you installed it?

          Anonymous

The unity part of the game executable calls home to notify an install. The devs dont need to do anything

Every single unity game has built in, unremovable telemetry that phones home analytics data while you're playing it

But are those devs even making their own GPU drivers and graphics library? Fucking lazy devs, I bet they dont even make their own compiler and operative system

            Anonymous

Many people still make their own engines. The issue is Unity was the braindead way of doing that for a lot of developers for the longest time. Needing to remember how to program isn't a bad thing.

Is the installer for a cracked, unity based game going to phone home to say it's been installed?

      Anonymous

imagine if they were able to make it report a new install every 5 seconds or something to fuck over the developers

      Anonymous

Yes. Cracks only remove installation restrictions and not telemetry. That's why you're supposed to block them in your firewal. I forget what game it was but there was a developer who made public statements of how sad he was that he could see pirated copies in his data recently.

They dont give a shit because their business now is the mobile games, Unreal cant compete there.

If we talk about money, PC/console devs give them a lot of problems and no money, while some shitty 2d mobile game can make millions
