the first month was fun. tons of people dicking around in voice chat and not taking the game too seriously.
now the game is nothing but sweaty as fuck try hards and cheaters and voice chat is near dead.

The absolute worst thing about multiplayer gaming in general are stupid people. Literal mouthbreathers that don't have any game sense at all and brings everyone else down. In any team versus team you cant rely on them for shit and they're a burden. The "I'm just here for the experience hurr durr" crowd that doesn't take anything serious.

The big issue is they're catering towards the COD audience that just want to play Rush maps versus the actual Battlefield part of the game. They did a big showing in Twitch Rivals and banned the players from voting Conquest maps because they wanted to showcase the Rush gernade and SMG spam all the "pros" enjoy.
The game was fun but theres only so long this kind of unstructured 0 ttk gameplay is fun for before you want to go back to playing counter strike.
Seriously felt like the dev saw their game blowing up as an opportunity to get in with streamers rather than an opportunity to make a great game.

Its this. This is also the reason why Battlefield "dies". 2042 and 5 were shit, but that type of game really doesn't have a place without some mode that is more structured. The problem being that smaller competitive modes in BF will never work

its quantum paradox battlefield, its only battlefield if you dont play it.
It wasn't and never was that great of a battlefield game, its was average at best and had a ton of flaws that are still there.
Goes to show you just how bad Battlefield actually is if this can do so well.
It has been getting better. The updated the leveling system to make it less grindy, they've nerfed lean spam and smg's, and they've made the front menu look nicer.
Nice small changes but I'm curious to see what they add in the future to keep the game fresh. Apart from better gear menu navigation, custom classes, and new maps... I really don't know what they add next.

Played it for maybe 3 hours and got the gist. Its a run and die simulator with ui and shake-cam that makes you think you are playing battlefield, whilst it puts you in 600mx600m clusterfuck maps. The incessant comparison to battlefield, and muh '5 man dev team in ms paint managed to do what Dice couldnt!'
