I one very similar to this one. It has been working for more than 6 years. G402. I also have a K120 keyboard, it's getting hard to type, I'm not sure if I'll go with another K120 or a mechanical this time.
Mine too, I've had it since 2016. Allegedly the older ones are better built than more recent ones and that's why they still work perfectly after so long. I think the very latest version uses optical switches so it should be fine as well.

I don't eat at my PC either, and I keep my room really cold so I'm not sweating on it. Optical switches literally cannot double click because they can't debounce. You can't argue around that, it'd be like arguing a triangle has four sides.

All the problems with logitech switches are from the fact that they use the exact same switches they were using 10 years ago but now run they out of specs (both under voltage and under amperage) because they refuse to change them and they are moronic. Also because it helps their bottom line with morons who keep buying their shit even if it breaks after 6 months.
Their scroll wheel is also extremely shit, it's both very flimsy and it accumulates gunk both on the wheel and the mechanism inside the mouse very easily.

replacing the click is easy as frick. buy a cheap sodering gun and quality buttons and just replace the clicker on it. stick the hot soldering end against the metal and let the solder melt off then pull it out and put a new one in, heat up the connectors then stick new solder on it and let the heat melt the solder onto the connections. thats it. dont try to hold the hot end on the solder to solder it on as it wont work and will just melt onto the soldering gun end itself
I have a G402 from like 2015 and it doesn't double clicks but the scroll wheel click stopped working, not big deal because I set it to one of the extra buttons on the side and it's actually way better.

The middle mouse failed on mine and I had a weird thing going on with the laser where it'd get stuck on an axis. I replaced it with the 502 thinking it'd be effectively the same thing. It's not. I miss the 500.
I had that mouse for over a decade as well. However, in late 2022 it began double clicking on the regular and I had to upgrade. I've been using the G502 for about 4 months now and it's nice, though I still miss the G500, as I found it more ergonomic. Things I don't like about G502, having come from the G500: >DPI up/down buttons feel more ambiguous >when using smooth scrolling, the plastic of the mouse makes a thud sound when your finger touches the button beneath it (which you will do when scrolling down) >if you wiggle the mouse when the computer is turned off (or maybe just asleep?) the lights on it turn on and won't turn off unless you unplug the mouse
Generally, I think the G500 is superior and feels more premium, but the the G502 isn't a terrible replacement.

its a good mouse but i end up disabling all but 2 of the buttons on it for page up and page down for 4chins scrolling and pickup/reload in games

I still have my original G502 that works just fine, but I'm seriously considering for replacing it with a wired G502X because it fixes almost all of the annoying things about it.
Logitech is cheap garbage. Got myself a Deathadder V2 that uses optical switches so it won't start doubleclicking ever.

my viper scroll wheel is borked too. Sometimes inputs the opposite direction, less than a year old
No Razer product has ever lasted a full year.
I bought one of those three months ago two replace my almost 20 year old MX518. Buttons are great but the scroll wheel is pretty janky.
I'm on my 12th one, and I'm just never gonna change.

I broke my old one years ago, got a 502, then 403 both of which had issues after a couple years, then bought the 518 refresh and have been using that for years now without any problems.

My scroll wheel lock started getting a little funny on the last day of my 3 year warranty
They sent me a whole new mouse, I still haven't opened that box 3 years later as this mouse still functions perfectly fine
If it wasn't for the double clicking I'd recommend this mouse to Everyone!

looks pretty neat. Considering it for my next mouse. I like a mouse with extra buttons that are ergonomically placed. Wireless is a bonus but not necessary.

Similar to the G502 in layout except the two top buttons. Had a good experience with an older Model O wireless, its pretty solid and replaced my ancient Sensei. Supposedly they're going to make a "Pro" model that doesn't have the holes and may have extra buttons as well.

There's some unique other mice if you're particularly based , it fits your use and you've got the wallet for it.

Pretentious? Yes. However its also well made, able to customize the whole thing and pic related is an upgraded "pro grip" that can add additional buttons, and scroll wheels to it for example . The composite versions are cheaper but may not have all the features of the ones with the metal base and leather top, but most things are swappable.

That's my mouse. Have had it for 7 years now. My only complaint is that the mouse wheel has gone to shit, if I scroll down it'll also scroll up and that can frick me in some games
