a chainsaw ?
there are ultrasonic knives but I don't think with current materials you could cut anything above bread tier : the blade would probably explode in your hands at MGR frequencies
I still think a high frequency blade would have many good uses. Not just for dismembering PMCs and war machines.
>Surgery
They could cut through bone with less trauma to the body >Industrial
A blade that can cleanly cut pretty much anything is obviously gonna be very useful >Being a cyber ninja

they use spinning diamond burs to cut bone.
spinning really fast is pretty much the same thing as vibrating really fast, so it could work

These are literally just Dremel tool bits, didn't know that they used them for surgery.

You'll find that Orthopedic surgery has a lot in common with carpentry.

uhh but that shaves away bone. every bone surgery makes your bones shorter?
a chainsaw ?

Ultrasonic cutters already exist in industrial and hobby applications, but they're basically an X-Acto knife on steroids. I'm not sure the tech could scale up practically to the size of a sword, the mass and lack of rigidity would probably dampen the vibrations.
See. That's what I want to know about. How come no one's even tried to scale it up. Even just some bored nerd with the knowhow.
That thing could barely cut my toenails.
>2023 >no mechas >no heat/HF blades >no powered exoskeleton >no lasers >military meta is still artillery >best we got was drones carrying grenades and radio scrambler guns
This is the faggiest decade ever
Turns out dropping shit on someone from a great height, or chucking a bit of metal at very high speeds with a controlled explosion, are still the best ways of killing soldiers.
>that follow up with jar guy where he says it wasn't as bad as it looked >the dude still went in to work that day
it's true what they say, huh
never meet your heroes
the sword would already be up his ass
AND IT'S ABOUT, TO GO, EVEN, FURTHER, BEYOND

QRD?
Where's the jar?
Are there any engineer fags in here. Are high frequency blades possible with current materials and tech?
no human could wield it
Why?
You wouldn't handle these blades, traveler. You need to find a place that makes weaker swords.
HF Blade Engineer. I am going into battle. And I need your highest frequency blade.
Why respect ninjas, when my nanomachines can do anything that you can?
it would vibrate their cells out of wack (that's a technical term)
You know how dentists and jackhammer wielders get pseudo-parkinsons after years of using vibrating equipment?
Imagine that but instantly
Just imbue the handle with anti-vibration waves.
Huh. Is that really a thing? Didn't know. Are there no protective measures against that?
>no human
But what about a Brazilian male?
To wield this sword, he needs to become a demon...
I'm not an engineer but yes, it's possible because anything's possible if you put your heart in it.
it's literally just a hair razor
More like a sword version of those multi tool oscillating blades. I just wonder why no one's ever made one.
Because no one uses swords anymore? Anyone who does is PORR
I still think a high frequency blade would have many good uses. Not just for dismembering PMCs and war machines.

the high frequency part just means that it vibrates alot, right?
no, its impossible to create a long sharp stick that vibrates.
A weapon to surpass Glass Jar
oh no

garden gnomes have one to shoot down palestinian missiles iirc
Lasers are obviously all over the place in non-weapon military applications too, things like target designators, rangefinders, etc.
i mean.....atleast we got jetpacks now
That's not hovering, that's falling with style
cool!
What in the Duke Nukem fuck are those.
They actually can fly, in a sense.
Turns out dropping shit on someone from a great height, or chucking a bit of metal at very high speeds with a controlled explosion, are still the best ways of killing soldiers.
Yeah but you don't get coolness points doing that. What happened to looking cool during war.
>What happened to looking cool during war.
The mass production of firearms.
Rifles.
i think this may be my first shock video, i saw it because i was sure it was going to switch to something else
i was young and didn't think anyone would do this for real
what was yours anons?
Raven Op here. Always had an autistic fixation on High Frequency Blades. It's nice to finally discuss it with some Gankerros. Comfy thread.
Got anymore webms? I need them for research purposes...
DON'T BLOW YOUR LOAD JUST YET!
Why is that engine so lewd?
DOKTOR, TURN OFF MY PROSTATE ORGASM INHIBITOR
