Ash becoming world champ is motivated entirely by a need to appease adult fans and not get kyoanid. I haven’t watched the show since I was a kid besides the finale, but anyone who hangs around here can clearly see what happened.
People didn't want that, which is why the entire M8 arc got constant shit for being a horrendously retarded idea in the first place back when it was airing. This. XY was almost perfectly set up for him to finally win and league and then travel off into the sunset with Serena. SM Ash didn't even feel like Ash, they should've just made it a different character and it would've probably pissed less people off.
>SM Ash didn't even feel like Ash,
Nether did XY Ash.
SM Ash's main problem was his new face, being overexcited over everything and his dynamic with other people.
I’ve always hated the ashnime but there’s nothing engaging about this new anime either. I’ve watched a couple episodes and it’s even more soulless because most of the plot is focused on the humans. None of those Ashnime episodes where they go and help a COTD with their problems, tournament arcs, mess around with wild Pokémon, etc etc exist in this show. It’s centered around these three kids that barely have a dynamic with each other chasing after a Pokémon that coincidentally always alludes them and being assisted by a Mcguffin that coincidentally always solves any sort of situation they are in. Also it doesn’t follow the ScaVio story whatsoever, they don’t even visit the fucking school. In one of the episodes despite being in a whole new region the girl had no incentive on exploring her surroundings and was actually confused on what to do to kill time. This is like watching the Pokémon adventures manga but in anime form.
>I’ve always hated the ashnime
You actually didn't. Otherwise you wouldn't be making shit up about the show that doesn't have ash. >even more soulless
That's literally not possible. The ashnime is the worst product of the entertainment industry. >most of the plot is focused on the humans

Who are human >mess around with wild Pokémon
Literally the last episode was about that. >these three kids that barely have a dynamic with each other
Literally not the case. >t doesn’t follow the ScaVio story whatsoever
Neither did the ashnime. It just had part of the villain plot. > This is like watching the Pokémon adventures manga but in anime form.
Even if that were a bad thing, Horizon is nothing like spe.
>I’ve watched a couple episodes and it’s even more soulless because most of the plot is focused on the humans
Didn't read the rest, you just sold me the anime.
nope that’s retardation
Kanto saga had the Mewtwo plot
Hoenn had Magma vs Aqua
Sinnoh had Galactic
Unova had Plasma
Kalos had Flare
Alola had a weird neutered version of Lillie hates Lusamine
>Team Rocket survives Kanto >Ash doesn't beat the e4 nor Gary at the end of Kanto >Silph, casino, and mansion entirely skipped >Hoenn doesn't happen at the same time >Everyt gen post-Kanto isnt led by a fresh trainer
What do you mean it’s like the Pokémon Adventures manga? It’s nothing like that. If it were actually like that shit would actually be happening and it wouldn’t have taken 21 episodes for the first protagonist we met to catch a Pokémon
Yes. Absolutely. Without question. And now we can rotate every generation with new characters instead of being stuck with the same ugly ass gary stu over and over again
/thread
Say or Make up what you want but rotational Protagonists were long overdue. >inb4 Fagmon spamming his copepastas about "M-muh 10 years" again
5 months bitch and not a single sign unlike other off-topic comparison you're hiding behind. Best you get is a 1 to 2 episode long nostalgia cash grab episode about KANNTTOOO and then he fucks off again.
He never mattered after OS and he should've been nuked after OS or Sinnoh at the very max. And Pokemon is always going to do fine because it's Pokémon.

Get a fucking SHINY TERA RAYQUAZA and catch A GIANT MOTHERFUCKING ARBOLIVA
And have a GIANT FUCKING CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION RULED BY SOME GIANT ASS NON-HUMAN NON-POKEMON ENTITY WHO'S AFTER BOTH OF THEM
There's virtually no difference that fucking matters once they decided to pull that "chosen" shit off in a movie that's long since is considered canon and repeatedly getting shoe-horned into the front with ancient deities, confrontations with the bad guys who want to take advantage control the legendaries.
That shit went up more and more plus his powerwank writing except for the leagues pre-SM where it takes an abrupt nosedive in writing.
You might have been right that it wasn't gary stu at the start for both sides, but the first season was already starting to dim the water with that movie. And since Hoenn it's one of the more broken loops onwards.
I couldn't give two shits about the anime in general, but keeping his ass on board made him too stale. XY being the mercy fuck up to break the status quo, only to end up with an mythical and a undiscovered form of that rock wolf with an Z-move only exclusive to him. And of course the fan-service in JN.

Ashfags are the ones assblasted they only got to waste 20+ years of their life and not more.
It was a dubbing error, the original Japanese dub of the movie never mentioned any chosen one. It talks about any exceptional trainer could have done the job and Ash's companion just pushed Ash to do it.
>has been the chosen one multiple times >once had a team comprised of snowflake forms, ultra beasts and legendaries
if Liko or any of the new characters pulled the shit ash did you'd scream from the roof tops
No one said anything about "exactly" but if you change so many key aspects then you can't say the game plot is being followed.
By that logic Horizon also follows the SV plot because they did go to paldea.

>these three kids that barely have a dynamic with each other
Literally not the case.
>t doesn’t follow the ScaVio story whatsoever
Neither did the ashnime. It just had part of the villain plot.
> This is like watching the Pokémon adventures manga but in anime form.
Even if that were a bad thing, Horizon is nothing like spe.
>I’ve watched a couple episodes and it’s even more soulless because most of the plot is focused on the humans
Didn't read the rest, you just sold me the anime.
>doesn't know the anime stopping following the games story since gen 7
>"ScaVio"
Retard alert.
Gen 1*
nope that’s retardation
Kanto saga had the Mewtwo plot
Hoenn had Magma vs Aqua
Sinnoh had Galactic
Unova had Plasma
Kalos had Flare
Alola had a weird neutered version of Lillie hates Lusamine
>Team Rocket survives Kanto
>Ash doesn't beat the e4 nor Gary at the end of Kanto
>Silph, casino, and mansion entirely skipped
>Hoenn doesn't happen at the same time
>Everyt gen post-Kanto isnt led by a fresh trainer
It doesn't follow the game plot and it never did.
>it’s even more soulless because most of the plot is focused on the humans
Actually a good thing ngl. Pokémon-of-the-day fillers are/were boring
>ngl
Spotted the zoo***
Eludes. Alludes means referring to something.
Hey fuck you the manga is alright, alright?
It doesn't have ash and its not a literary masterpiece either, which means its bad.
What do you mean it’s like the Pokémon Adventures manga? It’s nothing like that. If it were actually like that shit would actually be happening and it wouldn’t have taken 21 episodes for the first protagonist we met to catch a Pokémon
He didn't read pokespe, he just lumped it with all the non-ash media as sinonimous of "bad".
Yes.
The new characters are Gary stus. Ash wasn't a chosen one prodigy at the start of his journey like them.
ashfags pretending to know fandom terminology
Not him but for fucks sake he was literally picked out for a prophecy in the 2nd movie.
NTA, but remember that its ok if Ash does it.
Yes it only took 3 years of journey and several dozen loses. Outside of the movie his chosen one status is meaningless
What have Riko and Roy accomplished in 5 months anon?
Get a Legendary of the region who protects her if she's in actual danger
Ash post OS was a mistake.
The "chosen one" shit in that movie was made up by the dub, which mostly threw out the original script and made its own.
And Ash earned it with blood and sweat. Shitko didn't.
Riko didn't earn what.
Ash haters stopped watching a long time ago, if ever.
Ashfags are the ones assblasted they only got to waste 20+ years of their life and not more.
He literally saw Ho-Oh in the first episode before accomplishing anything except sleeping in.
It was a dubbing error, the original Japanese dub of the movie never mentioned any chosen one. It talks about any exceptional trainer could have done the job and Ash's companion just pushed Ash to do it.
>has been the chosen one multiple times
>once had a team comprised of snowflake forms, ultra beasts and legendaries
if Liko or any of the new characters pulled the shit ash did you'd scream from the roof tops
youre right, now i dont have any nostalgic obligations to watch this slop
>nostalgic obligations
too bad its flopping
>Scored more frequently the top 10 in TV ratings than the literal legacy anime Journeys so far
???
Cool horseshit bro
I've already forgot about Ash
>ashfag telling anyone else to cope
No one said anything about "exactly" but if you change so many key aspects then you can't say the game plot is being followed.
By that logic Horizon also follows the SV plot because they did go to paldea.
>call me an ashfag when I hate and didn’t watch the ashnime
I called you an ashfag because you acted like one, yeah.
If Horizons delivers on Porygon then I will kneel.
Can’t wait to breed a shiny one
>A doormat
>A Hop clone
>An uglier version of Penny
Lets face it. Removing Ash was a mistake and it fixed nothing.
>0858
>t.seething Fagmon still pretending Ash mattered for the show
Samefagging this goddamn hard
>S-samefag
Jeez, someone needs to the redpill. He never mattered.
All I hear are bunch of cope.
The truth is that Ash, Arven and Juliana with Makoto's personality from M20 would have made a better cast than the entire Rising Volt Tackler.
>A-all I hear are bunch of cope
>Posts his fanfiction right afterwards
Why am I absolutely not surprised? Just weak and desperate to pretend that Ash mattered.
>Fanfiction
It was never a fanfiction but the actual formula that Anipoke would have followed. Arven is the Pseudo Brock while Julian being the Pseudo Misty/Dawn.
>"I-it was never a fanfiction"
>Not a thing in the show or official media
That's literally a fanfiction, Ashtard. Pretending otherwise is just sad.
>Traveling the world on an airship to find the mystery behind a pendant left behind by the MC's special grandparents as an evil organization chase after them.
This is far more closer to a fanfiction than an actual Pokemon anime.
>Calls the official show a fanfiction
>Which also happens to be the pokemon anime rn
Not gonna make it, Ashtard. Keep coping.
The Rising Volt Tacklers are fucking great, and captain Pikachu mogs Ash's hard, kys
>The truth is that Arven and Juliana with Makoto's personality from M20 would have made a better cast than the entire Rising Volt Tackler.
Fixed
What the fuck? I thought Dot was taller than the others.
>327
>"he was"
>became a champion explicitly AFTER the XY one
Can't even read posts right. Lmao
Not really, it's the same soulless trash it was before just with a new cast
Ash was never the problem
He quite literally was. The issue the show had was that they wanted to have a character and a mascot at the same time.
Animation and the like was always fine, it was Ash that was the issue.
the animation sucked until XY and even then there were some really poorly drawn moments
Good. I don't care about the humans but it was getting fucking annoying to see so much backpedaling on many edges.
That God that the problem Ash got out of the way.
It was certainly a lame show and a lame protagonist that was replaced with a lame show and a lame protagonist.
>being this far in
>the main cast is JUST now catching their 2nd pokemon
This shit is never gonna finish huh? Can't wait to see you guys in the next 10 yrs when Liko and Roy finally get Meowscarada and Skeledirge in generation 12
PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP PLAP GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT GET PREGNANT HNNNNNNNNNNNNGG!
Sure, and wasting 20+ years of your life for a closure on your childhood character absolutely isn't pathetic.
>wasting
Cope.
A lot of trannies ITT hating on the GOAT
>Alain out of nowhere
Holy kek, it's been 7 years. The big bad Alain boogeyman is not real. This is genuinely unhinged copium.
The colors seem fucked here. The kid with green pants has the blue Pokémon while the chick deck out in blue has the green Pokémon. The red kid having the Redmon doesn't help.
It's not about the starters, but the generation
>Violet is relegated to secondary position again
Is Dot currently SSJ or its already SSJ2?
That last kid looks like he should be using a poison type, not that faggy duck
>Dot
>he
Dot's a gal
chud. The duck makes sense now
Anon, she's a child. What are you expecting, an hour glass figure with G sized tits?
>new anime about a cute girl
Nice
>has a shota companion
Ew
>has several adult companions
What the fuck
>travels on a giant retarded airship
What the fuck is this
>young girl gets friendly with young girls and boys
What did you expect?
>they travel in a giant airship powered by pokemon with awesome wings that merged to form a battle arena, and the ship is obviously tripulated by adults
That's the best part
>leaving
TrAsh should get more threads about it, I love seeing manlet self-inserters show what asses they are and the unhealthy obsession they have with a forevially 10 kid who had to be Gary Stu'd into winning a world championship of Champioms after winning the bonndocks "league" of Alola.
I don't know why Ashschizos are so butthurt over XY, but that just cements it further as the best Ash series.
Yes.
What's the ethnicity of the brown kid with pink hair on the left?
I dropped this new series after the 5th episode. I don't care for any of the characters. I refuse to be strung along another 20+ years for a "mystery". Haven't bought/played since Legends. Don't care for the cards or mobile stuff.
Is it time for me to buy a ticket out of pokemon (serious question)?
You think Terapagos will be relevant by Gen 17?
No, just that the mystery shouldn't stretch the whole shows airing (at least the crystal thing).
Then you wont wait 20+ years retard.
>The problem isn’t what’s realistic the problem is internal consistency.
That's even more retarded because its not inconsistent at all.
>Ash becoming world champ is motivated entirely by a need to appease adult fans and not get kyoanid.
If that were the case he'd have become champ more than a decade ago.
>That's even more retarded because its not inconsistent at all
How are you honestly this dumb?
>Season 1
Ash is a 10 year old hot blooded shitter nobody thought would make it, but he is actually doing fairly well and making a name for himself.
>last season
Ash is the best trainer in the world (he’s still 10)
You didn't explain the inconsistency.
Aside from the show not taking more than 3 years at mots like the previous series duration and going rotational onward,
>Is it time for me to buy a ticket out of pokemon (serious question)?
If the DLC tomorrow ain't gonna cut it, then it's time to go.
Then I guess I'll wait until all the dlc is out to play SV. Thank you for answering seriously.
No problem.
Why does she have the face of an eeveeloution
Anyone who doesn't think so is just a manchild at this point. It should've happened right after Alola tbh.
*XY
Beach episode when.
God those designs look só fuckign GAY
why does the moron have pink hair??? while the FAG on the right already has pink hair too??? who is this FAGGY, GAY shit for???
Why is Liko so fucking hot.
Calm down Dot.
