it's alright, definitely could've used more distinct storylines between the two of them given that omega ruby is hinged around a team of scientists for some reason thinking boiling the oceans to make more land was a good idea, and i would've preferred things from emerald not getting taken out because "kids don't like postgames" or whatever that crappy reasoning was
it did provide new courtney though, which is a big plus, and i'll always appreciate it for that
I liked the new angles they gave Aqua and Magma given how nonsensical their plans were in the original games, Aqua in particular works well because of how their collective IQ was reduced so their mistakes can be chalked up to their massive stupidity, Magma fares less well because Maxie should have seen that shit coming from a mile (And Also Tabitha sucks compared to Courtney).

ORAS is not bad, people that say it’s shit are mostly the ones that grew up with the original RSE and found that it wasn’t as good as a remake as HGSS. As a stand-alone game it’s good but Hoenn isn’t one of the best regions. As if it’s better than XY, it has more Megas but I don’t know if it’s really better
The generic trainers are mostly copy pasted from XY, plus there’s the ones in OP’s pic, which I considered to be one of best groups of girls out of any of the games, second only to SwSh.

The problem is ORAS stops being replayable once online dies. Meanwhile I am still playing Emerald version chasing those gold frontier symbols. This is coming from someone who loves both RSE and the remakes. The devs deliberately didn't try harder with the remakes because they didn't want to set high expectations for future games. Which is pretty pathetic.

Once you finish the delta episode all you have left to do is completing the dex. The post game was carried by secret base exchanging, battle/trading features, and dexnav. Two of those three die once online does.
HGSS really were the gold standard for remakes.

I never cared for that turbo competitive autist shit so to me ORAS was just a slightly expanded RSE, frontiers and that stuff were always the laziest fucking filler, just copypaste the battle tower and put a bunch of unecessarily restrictive rules in it, it takes zero development skill, it's just an endless string of battles that can easily be generated by an algorithm.
I usually don't bother with Pokemon post-games unless they're story-focused.
The only reason to play ORAS is the improved Courtney, and nothing more. Maybe that whore Zinnia too.
