    the filter they slapped on it is frick-ugly but otherwise it looks interesting
    honestly even if it just does everything daggerfall did but prettier I'd still get it, but here's hoping it actually expands on that game

        NTA but Daggerfall's combat is decided by dice rolls? Never felt that way to me, it probably has the best melee combat out of all the Elder Scrolls games

          Yeah, Arena, Daggerfall and Morrowind go off of dice rolls. Unless you played the Unity version with a plug-in enabled that removes that feature in favor of hit detection.

          The funny thing is that every TES game has essentially the exact same combat, it's just that starting with Oblivion they got rid of stat-based misses and also tried to jazz it up with special moves
          Daggerfall feels okay because certain things feel more acceptable with 2D sprites but looks/feels bad in full 3D

            I remember the biggest thing they were hyping up for the new combat in Skyrim was the slow-mo finishing moves. Sounds so quaint 13 years later.
            The second biggest thing was the spell combinations, which they didn't even deliver on.
