If you enjoyed RE2 and R3make, yes. It's following in their footsteps, it's fun in it's own right if you remove the censorship from it (unless the upskirts were a core part of your enjoyment of the original).
All the issues people had with the OG I had with the remake, but never with the OG itself
provide some examples
People complained a lot about Ashley in the OG but I never had that issue, she was glued to my back like 90% of the time and otherwise there was always some means of keeping her out of the fight. At most she existed as a mechanic to keep players from just being invincible via running diagonally. Now in the Remake, I've found the "stay away/stay close" mechanic near useless, she's always somewhere else than behind you doing a dumb crouch walk in between ganados, and seems to get herself caught more often (though I actually didn't have an issue with that this last playthrough). Not shitty escort levels of bad but I just find her annoyingly worse now.
I also used to be excited getting to the castle in the OG because that's when you could start suplexing guys, but in the Remake it just feels like comparatively the amount of Ganados you fight overall are smaller and so my excitement to continue a playthrough dies down once I get since fighting them is the main thing I enjoy from both games. I also find the armored gigante sequence only fun the first playthrough, tedious from any playthrough after since it's pretty easy to know what to do after that. The big painpoint I could think of in the original RE4 similar to this was shooting the logs blocking the gears in the clock tower, but at least it was quickly followed up with a gauntlet.
I'll probably need to put another playthrough of the OG to make sure I actually remember shit since I hadn't played it in years prior to doing one playthrough right before the Remake came out whereas I've played the Remake 8 times since release, so burnout's going to be a lot more obvious
