right it's not a choice, it started being not a choice about 10 years ago when transgender politics suddenly started being pushed in the mainstream of academia and entertainment

it is. There was no need to mention all of that crap and it doesn't fit with the character at all, which is the definition of woke bullshit: add nothing to the story just for the sake of PC

the game is okish but gets too repetitive after a while and those goddamn fricking awful unskippable walking simulator cutscenes with cringe dialogue made me quit the game for good. Frick you I don't wanna spend 10 minutes following an npc listening to their shit for the sake of the """story"""

I always open with that post for a reaction. You quickly learn that guy is bonkers. Days Gone is quite good. Lots of relaxed bike riding through beautiful forests and climatic fights against 150+ zombie hordes.

I keep hearing this game is good but I think bikers are pretty gay and cringy. Is that really a focal point or is it more just like an ancillary part of his characterization?

It's not really a biker game and your character hardly acts like a stereotypical biker. The only bikers are you and your best friend. Bikes are just used a lot in the game. Just be glad you're a white guy

It's the defining characteristic of Deacon. He doesn't shut the frick up about it while you're riding the motorcycle or just doing a story mission. It's all about his biker code and his biker gang past is the driving force of the one of the main antagonists.

Shut the frick up, moron. The only time he's talks about his old club is during flashbacks or when you meet Jesse. He acts like anybody else would in that setting. His "code" has nothing to do with him being a biker. It's just his moronic meaningless morals to add shit to his character. Bikers in real life rape and traffick women all the time. have a nice day.

Nah. Deacon's absolute loyalty to Boozer is endearing. He'd do anything to make sure his brother was safe.

the game tries its hardest to bore you. very difficult to not drop it a few hours in. there's a good game somewhere in there, but the game tries to be a story slop game and a zombie survival game at the same time, and both things are at odds with each other constantly.

If anyone is interested the game activities are like this:

Main missions - Progress the story and unlock new camps and regions. Typically involve item retrieval at a random place in the region for someone and that person may or may not tag along.
Bounties - If the camp leader wants the target alive you will investigate an object and the target will suddenly appear, fleeing on a motorbike. You follow shoot their bike until they fall off and then Deacon will tie them up. If the camp leader wants them alive they're either surrounded by NPCs or you need to investigate a few objects until you find them. You then kill the target and retrieve something off their corpse and then return the item to the camp leader.
Ambush camps - There are either bandit, marauder or rarely anarchist camps. You need to wipe everyone in the camp out either by stealth, direct combat or a combination. Bandits often have bunkers you have to enter which contain a map which will reveal surrounding areas on your own.
Infestations - These are typically in clusters and must be cleared if you want to fast travel. They're zombie nests which you have to burn out. Starting a burn will cause around 5-10 zombies to rush out and attack you. You will encounter bird infestations later which have even greater clusters but birds won't come swarming out.
Nero Checkpoints - These checkpoints usually contain one or two buildings you need to enter. The first task will be to destroy any speakers because these can attract the horde. You then power up a generator with a nearby gas can. Sometimes you need to find something to fix a broken circuit. Once the generator is running you can enter the checkpoint for a stam/health/slowmo up
Horde - More of an endgame thing. Map tracking for them isn't available until them but you may stumble across them. Hordes are typically 50-200 basic zombie fights at once depending on the region. You can find the hordes either outside during the night or inside a cave during the day.

Nero Research Sites - Reward is the same as a Nero checkpoint but these are usually hidden. You often need to do bike jumps or find underground entrances to get to them. Once you find the site you can take the stam/health/slowmo up.
Misc - There's a couple of times you view flashbacks, talk to Sarah's "grave" and some general conversations with people around the camps as well
