    >audio sliders for each track
I can understand ON/OFF tracks like in Tony Hawk games, but a volume slider is just dumb

He probably means sliders for voice, ambient, music, etc.

He really should've worded that better
And modern games do have sliders for voice, ambient etc.

not all modern games have audio options.

Why? Sometimes it's nice to have a little bit of subtle music under the game sounds, or to make voice lines stand above the soundscape. Sometimes games will play music a bit too loud by default but I'll still want to hear it.

    >subtitles
    >subtitles can be scaled, recoloured and given backgrounds to make them actually readable

    >headphone audio options

    >boss rush mode
    >some sort of combat arena where you can spawn different enemies to fight

    >pausable cutscenes
    >SKIPPABLE cutscenes
I'm actually amazed that I'm STILL running into games that don't have the above two.

japanese coom game developers knew more about "UX" than the entire western developer workforce even before they started using that buzzword
