I played this for about an hour and couldn't get into it the combat system was janky and the whole thing seemed too laborious. Maybe I was wrong and should give it another go
The way to play Witcher is just turn the difficulty down, mod in QoL features like unlimited inventory and just breeze through the story. The combat is not good in any of the games, and harder difficulties just make it take up more time.
the combat can be fun with the right build and mutations.
just a shame you basically have to play new game+ to really get the best of it. its not super complex or hard but it can get fun to slice horde of bandits or monsters.
Yeah good. Usually I prefer turn based combat anyway. If I play this again, which I might, I'll do a thread and figure out what's the most fun or easy way to combat because as it was I'm not keen on it at all

The combat system gets way better once you start levelling up and specially if you focus on both red (melee) and blue (signs) skills. Using a controller for the quick signs instead of using the shitty wheel also makes the combat flow way better.
Not only that but by the DLCs or once your build is pretty much done, you can focus on an endgame mechanic called mutations, there's one called Euphoria that was completely OP before the new patch, but it fits sword+sign builds perfectly. You get to make use of everything Geralt has on his arsenal, because using potions/decoctions not only give you combat bonuses, but also with that mutation you get increased damage with both sword AND signs. Therefore you can make a fully fledged build that makes use of everything, and has you prepared for any kind of enemy, without missing out on any mechanic of the game.
Witcher's combat is piss easy, especially once you know the weaknesses of all the monsters. I suck at actual games (souls) but beat Witcher 3 in underpants without dying on death march (it was my third or fourth playthrough)
Yeah, the whole the witcher thing was a fraud by console zoomers playing their first rpg. >worst combat than action nip games from the ps2 as per usual by western games >rpg you can't rpg because Geralt is very defined as a character >90% of the quests are the same use witcher senses kill repeated monster shit. >muh press X to follow the dots automatically >the main story was actually abysmal with 3 big side quests of which only 1 was good, and the last final act is rushed af and pretty dogshit too >either you say everything ciri wants to hear or you get the bad ending
The game wasn't much different than the usual ass creed slop honestly.
>rpg you can't rpg because Geralt is very defined as a character
Nah, this is a shitty complaint. While you are more confined than a completely custom character, there is a good amount of wiggle room within that to roleplay Geralt in different ways and quests can have radically different outcomes because of it.
Zoomers back in 2015 thought either was an RPG because you stand around and listen to dialogue like a bioware game. But the rest of the game is so shallow you'd really have to struggle to claim it's anything but a poorly cobbled together bioware sim
> and quests can have radically different outcomes because of it.
Dude, every single of those choices is literally >kill the thing >don't kill the thing
and that's where the quest ends and you move to another thing
Correct. Witcher 3 threads on Ganker were nothing but zoomers spamming. They were about as high quality as elsen ring or starfield threads, completely substanceless spam threads that died right after launch. That's how you know a game is bad, and that's why the only possible way to get a witcher 3 threads going is to shot on it, because shitting on it is the only logical decision
Everyone says the witcher 3 is one of the greatest games ever so when I finally played it I was expecting amazing gameplay but all I got was a soap opera for chicks. Disappointing.
It's kinda hilarious that Witcher 3 has faded so much after all the semen-slurping about it, while Skyrim is still going strong when everyone and their mother comes out to shit on it
People will talk about Skyrim's story till ESVI happens and gives definitive answers to everything.
People will talk about Skyrim's story forever if ESVI doesn't provide definitive answers to everything.
I saved them both in my first run by accident. They insinuate that the guards raped the sister in the dialogue so I kept picking nice options with her which worked out in the end.
also hot

Cyberpunk has pretty good combat IMO
That's not a Witcher game
Still a CDPR game.
Non of the Witchers have good combat though yeah. W3's is passable.
cyberpunk is not a witcher game lmfao

Start off on an easier difficulty and then ramp it up. Even normal is pretty challenging at first.

The fuck are you talking about, it's still very widely regarded as one of the greatest of all time.
Yeah, the whole the witcher thing was a fraud by console zoomers playing their first rpg.

Not a good faith argument, that's basically most RPG choices if you boil it down to the most generic terms possible.
the game was fun for the first half then it starts dying off really fast and drags on for way too long
Did something happen? It's like the 4th thread shitting on Witcher 3 today.
if you want to discuss an old, popular game the only way to get a thread going is to shit on it.
Not true. Mass effect threads are started all the time without shitting on them because they're not total shit
>because they're not total shit
lol

Shazamfags are overdosing on cope after BG3 won GOTY
It's still one of the most soulful games ever made and no amount of contranny shitposting will ever change that
ITT: asshurt fromtrannies with their assholes still leaking geralt's cum
But anon.. i hate both?
But anon, fromsoft and cdpr are hacks
>no one even mentioned fromsoft
Rent free
Deleted it when the graphics upgrade turned out to be mandatory instead of optional.
It's optional
>ultimately faded from history
Starfield is currently beating Witcher 3 in players by a mere ~8 thousand
>no mention of a Fromsoft game anywhere
>fromtrannies
Absolutely mindbroken
Everyone says the witcher 3 is one of the greatest games ever so when I finally played it I was expecting amazing gameplay but all I got was a soap opera for chicks. Disappointing.
This game was made for Europeans, muttoids will never truly get it.
It's kinda hilarious that Witcher 3 has faded so much after all the semen-slurping about it, while Skyrim is still going strong when everyone and their mother comes out to shit on it
Shitrim is still alive for the insane amount of coom mods. Nobody talks about the story unless you're talking about Morrowind or even Oblivion.
This board regularly gets "Stormcloak Vs Imperial" and "I dunwanna kill Party Snacks" threads. Claiming it's just the mods is cope.
People will talk about Skyrim's story till ESVI happens and gives definitive answers to everything.
People will talk about Skyrim's story forever if ESVI doesn't provide definitive answers to everything.
>faded from history
>TW3
>brought up daily on Ganker 8 years in a row since release
>still considered one of if not the best RPG ever made
Forgot to add
>TW4 will be the most anticipated vidyagame the moment it will be oficially presented
>daily
I haven't seen a witcher 3 thread talking about the game in like 3-4 years
awesome game
pure kino I cried when anna hugged her sister
I actually soifaced when Detlaff transformed in the fight
>If you acknowledge any gods, start praying now
Anna died doe. Fuck the sister
I saved them both in my first run by accident. They insinuate that the guards raped the sister in the dialogue so I kept picking nice options with her which worked out in the end.

I was a cunt to her all game for how she treated Detlaff
witchers are made for two things: killing monsters and FUCKING
