        2007-2015 was a special time
the country went to shit after that
wish I couldve been there in the 90s and early 00s, that wouldve been fucking madness, but the late 00s in japan were basically just an extension of the previous 20 years so i kind-of caught a bit of it at the end.

place is super pozzed and everyone's hyper autistic now, but Zoomer japs are considerably more chill, lazier and less autistic than their elders so japan will probably be based again in 20 years from now.

Not with those birth rates it won't. Zoomers need to start fucking, or else the government is going to be forced to flood the country with morons and other undesirables.

what the fuck happened? Even the countries that have this architecture already would bulldoze it all down and build soulless skyscrapers if they could.

OP's image is some cherry-picked photo shopped nonsense, most of Japan looks way different if you venture outside of cities, all the towns are half-empty and decrepit because of the declining population.

That sounds kind of comfy and exciting, to be honest. My town is a shithole with a lot of failing or shut-down businesses, but somehow has a lot of traffic and noise pollution due to tourism and a night life/drug scene.
