Is there anything likeable? It's pretty much everything from his hideous character design to his role in the stories to Ishikawa Kaito. I can see an appeal in each Enstars boy even if they're not for me specifically but with Tsumugi I don't get it... Switch would be the perfect unit to produce if it was just a Natsusora duo or if the 3rd was another cute magician twink, I still love their songs though.

Eichi is one of the most interesting characters in the game imo, he was the perfect antagonist for early Enstars in a cast full of happy-go-lucky/eccentric/autismos. I get sick of how fine are shilled by the writers but Eichi alone is worthy of it. There's also something about a frail sick boy having a poisonous/twisted side that is delicious to me. I don't find Keito as interesting individually but I like his relationship with Eichi and Kuro... one of those guys I only think about when he appears in a story I'm reading.

i love him because he's pathetic. he's barely in my top 15 maybe so i'm not a big fan but his interactions with eichi were pretty big for me. how he thought just going along with anything this guy says will make everyone happy. he's useless on his own but makes a damn good right hand man, he's so dependent on others it's funny. he's naive. he'll literally go wherever the first person who approaches him takes him. he's like playdough. he literally just wants to be happy and make others happy which i can relate to. not trying to make you like him, but the same reasons that make him a bad character to you might make others love him
Well it’s interesting to hear why someone does like him since I couldn’t come up with anything and “making everyone happy” is basically what Switch is all about so he fits that. I guess I just love Natsume and Sora too much and it bugs me that the third member doesn’t click with me at all.

I've never been simultaneously bored and frustrated until we had this idol event in NuCarnival. The timelocking meant we're farming points too slow to get the ladder rewards. I have 5.6k points and we only have 20 more days until the end. That means I'll need to get 2070 points per day/35 [25 energy] runs or use about 875 energy daily to get all the ladder rewards.
Anyway, I got enough fragments to get a 5* N Aster because of the fp banner and curiously, the shop stopped selling his fragments.

. Nah, it's all rng. The fragments are always available. Once you have the max amount to ascend a unit to 5*, the fragment shop will stop selling them. I still get N fragments and dupe N units, but they'll be converted to memory shards instead. Dupes give out more memory shards than fragments.

Well, it looks like NuGovernment learned from Mystic Banquet so they pushed the most energy efficient stage behind time and item locks when there's only a few days left which will screw with other peeps' guils deed count as well. I only need to finish getting enough books and cotton candy for the scrolls. The fan board points are gonna be a problem since I'm just at 11.2k. The energy requirements this time is too damn high.

Either way, the energy requirements vs fan boards is jacked up. I like the three area "boards," but hate the time-gated thing. The event might have been fine if they opened it all up at once.
Now I finally understand why NuGovernment placed that Crystal Core for 39.6k points while they put the bgm at 34.2k. It really is out of reach for f2ps/low spenders unless you'll sacrifice most of your gems (if you have any left). Even if you have all exploration areas unlocked at level 4, it will still take a while to replenish your lost gem stock.
It might take a day or two of excavations for Blade and Eiden to get to level 20 since it requires a lot of fan mails per level.
Anyway, the Dress Rehearsal stage has a trick where you musn't use ults at the last wave enemies or else they'll put up a no damage barrier which lasts for 1 turn. The no ult buff lasts forever. So it'll be easier to just use a pure damage team of aoe/strikers since you won't need healing if you kill them first or just burn your skip tickets at this stage if you have loads. This event sucks since you need to monitor your excavations and energy usage while it asks for a huge amount of energy.

Saw a JP tweet last night saying that (allegedly) the next event characters were announced at the RL event in Taiwan and it's Dante and Edmond. I haven't seen anything past that, though.
Quincy would have been nice too, but I'm glad that we'll probably be getting an event with him and Kuya interacting if the above is true.

Well... crap. Pulling for my 2nd favorite character (Quincy) against my 2nd least favorite character (Kuya) will make me scream.
I'm not sure if they're going to go back to only two characters at once or not. It'd be weird to have Kuya, Quincy or Garu left out on their own as a single banner, unless a new character gets added in between. I kind of feel like Rin's too new and hasn't yet used up his role as the arc's villain yet, but I guess we'll see what happens.
And don't worry, I'm about to do the same with Edmond (favourite) and Dante (don't hate him, but don't really give a single frick about him either).

I halfway through idolish7 third beat. im surprised at how fast I sped through the series since i take forever to watch anime (i prefer manga). i finally understand why the ainana fans i see online are fans of tsushimi bunta's work in general, i play mahoyaku and I plan on reading their doujin VN, library of neversista. the first season was a comfy idol anime that reminded me of love live; i liked how it focused on the business side of producing idols while having nice moments of the guys bonding. second beat introduced revale and kujo, some nice mystery and a darker thread in the plot, and third beat built off that. mitsuki punching yamato and yamato choking yuki actually had some weight since the guys were always so open with each other despite the hints that they had their own secrets. its a nice balance to when the story (in my opinion) gets dragged down by everyone being sappy and complimenting each other 24/7. i finished reading fullmoon o sagashite and i really feel like idolish7 was fated to have her involved with how fullmoon was just as grounded about the idol industry

Chinese, Korean, and the English version of enstars have autoplay and other features unique to that version. Japanese is the outlier. I also got frustrated because on the English version of the app they have an option to change which language the story is in yet would never introduce that feature into the game versions the English speaking fans already play Lol.

Yah. It's making me dread for future events. If it weren't timegated, it should've been possible to catch up at the cost of burning gems much much earlier. It sucks seeing the countdown go so fast with only a pittance of points earned. Adding my sentiment - I'm completely there with you, anons. I almost posted a few days ago about how I'm a terrible Nu Carni mom because I don't check on my boys like I used to.
I swear certain accounts are seeded for certain characters. One of my accounts got 3 Yakumos, and the other got 3 Blades, nothing in between. That should be statistically rare, but I'm seeing lots of people complain that they are pulling tons of the same character.
It's great they added the event character guarantee, but the event being extremely time-gated made it feel like a drag from the beginning (which is a shame because the map/board interface was actually fun). Guilds seem way less active now. The game feels even more dead than a month ago. I really want a new survey. They also need to add Dante immediately. Not being able to get one of the 8 main characters for over a month (or whatever it's been) is stupid. We didn't have to wait this long for Blade.
I don't know how this game is going to last for more than a year at this point. No one is going to be left.
I'm pretty sure they're just baiting people to drop dosh after testing people's bottom lines with their push and pull tactics.

I had to hit the pity guarantee for the regular banner and that has a 1.5% rate. Considering the step banner has a 1% rate, I wouldn't bother with the it unless I had enough gems for the guarantee.

He can hit pretty hard, and he's good against a single enemy. His targeting can feel pretty wonky against multiple enemies though.

I don't have him so I can't say. Would these screenshots help with comparing? He's lv 53 with 2*, 3 rooms done, and pot 6 with no nodes unlocked. He's also buffed by a 4* SR Olivine's burst.
I believe that Idol Oli is generally better than OG Edmond for F2P for single target.
For whales, Edmond is still better.
MB Kuya is still better than both of them on bosses in both cases if he has time to build stacks.

Hmm yah it all boils down to what units one has available onhand. If one can get idol Olivine considering the stacked odds against the player, then he'd need a healer to maintain his atk+ >90% hp buff. Meanwhile, Edmond would be become more powerful if he's 3*+ with 3 strikers at most because of his passive. The problem with Kitsune Dream Kuya is that his indirect attack can work against him if he's against a gimmick boss like S2 Trial Dante that needs direct hits.

The first rule of gacha games is never roll unless you have some sort of minimum guarantee.
So yes, you shouldn't roll if you only have 120 contracts. It is designed for you to lose.
re: nu:carnival, are there like level breakpoints you guys go to? I'm unsure of how to make them stronger between the Levels and the Potentials.
I know in Arknights the breakpoint is e2l40/60 for example.
I haven't gone past lvl 55 and potential 6/7 and have been able to clear hardest content, you might need to go past that if you have low ascension units/not the right element, don't sleep on R tier units, very easy to max and water quincy specifically is just as busted as his other versions

Yah. Check their battle info. Whenever he or Blade takes a deep breath, focus your attacks there to reduce their attack output.

But yeah, if they didn’t timegate it, we wouldn’t have this problem and emptying the item shop would be a cinch. If they’re going to do a 3 character banner again, that must mean they’ll have Edmond, Dante, and Quincy together since Kuya and Garu just had their event earlier. I’m basing it on speculation since I don’t know if we’ll even have SSR Aster and Morvay. I hope they’ll use Aster’s longsleeved cute design.

I spammed all my boosts today (I figured I don't need them for CH 10) and got a couple thousand more fans. Barely made my way to 27k. It really does suck that as a F2P there was no way to make it to 45k (without spending a crazy amount of gems, and I rather save them for rolls).

I'm finished with this event. I mean it this time. I knew the point rewards were sus since it had a crystal core three quarters before the end reward. Well played on the greediness, NuGovernment. My friend list got whittled down to eleven active peeps because of this.
you and your friends are BIG dumb, this event was markedly in favor of free players instead of whales. This is as good as it's ever been, and it might not get this good again. The top end of the points rewards is all redundancies or filler meant to give whales something to splurge on.
We got all the keys, crystals, scrolls, gems, 200 advanced intimacy items, and an alternative spending system whereby we could skip potential materials entirely. 34K is where you should have stopped, granted this still takes some gem spending, but less than the previous events in my estimation.

What. But I'm f2p and I wanted the crystal core for my SRs. You hadn't seen my rolls. I aimed for that than hoping I'd get anything other than a bunch of N fragments again. As for my friend list, they're random strangers that agreed to put me on theirs. It's a shame they're gone, but something about this event put them off permanently instead of continuing on with their high level multistar SSR units.
I feel you, anon. I think I only have 5/35 friends who have been active in the last 48 hours. I wonder how many new players they've pulled in (that aren't rerolls), because it seems barely sustainable.
Nayrt, and the board rewards and item exchange excavation were a nice change. But having the fan board point threshold so high is a turn off, even if it was supposed to be for whales. It's also that the game made reaching the end of the event achievable in the past, so it felt like a slap in the face this time for F2P that have played since Day 1 (maybe new players won't mind as much). This time it was obviously either a gem sink, or a real life money sink.
I hope they keep the gacha guarantee though. That is the one thing other people have complained about, but it's actually a godsend. If we go back to no limited event character pity, I'll probably leave the game.

Yes, I do play the game. It's been months since I finished chapter 9 when it came out so I forgot about it hence my confusion about Quincy as well. I skipped rolling for Dante the first time he was introduced so I don't have a strong connection to him. It's nice the story's moving forward again so I might just reread it from the start. At least the wallpaper for finishing chapter 10 was pretty. I was bummed out when I saved up my keys and scrolls as an f2p, and was unlucky in the idol event so I don't have a new SSR I can use those keys on.

Actually bothered to look over the producer's interview and there were some interesting tidbits.
- In the development stage they settled on a small cast so they can explore each character in-depth, but they are not ruling out the possibility of adding more characters if it benefits the story
- Who top/bottomed was discussed in length during development and because they are aware on how seriously fujoshis take this they would have to discuss at length the risks of changing anything
- Before settling on gems they considered flowers or tattoos
- Edmond, Yakumo, and Kuya where the easiest to design and Quincy the hardest
- Topper went through many changes, originally, he was an owl and then a squirrel before they settled on his current design
- Each staff member has their favorite character, but Edmond is everyone's mother-in-law
- Everyone will eventually get an SSR, stay tuned! (I think this was asked specifically because of Aster and Morvay, but they were not named in the question)
- When asked if there was any unexpected fan response, they noted that people have more diverse fetishes than they expected
- They already have an IP in mind to collaborate with but are keeping it a secret. They also rather collaborate with IPs that won't clash with the setting

It's cool. I'm f2p too. The moment you get all 270 fragments/shards for a unit's 5* upgrade, the fragment shop will automatically put a sold out sign on that unit and then the memory crystals will probably start rolling in depending on your luck at whichever banner. I checked and I just need 5 R Yakumo shards/20 SR Aster shards for their fifth star ascension. Much excite for my primary snek healer's final form.

Do people not understand that 150 pity for a guaranteed limited unit is always going to be better than a mixed pool at 100?
Even if you treat it like a 50/50, "pity" at 100, it means on average you will have to roll 200 times to get a limited unit. We all know that the probability in Nu Carnival seems screwed up, so it could be even more.
I was one of the people who spent more than 150 scrolls trying to get a single limited unit during the Zest event.
150 rolls isn't even that much, especially for a limited unit. I feel like the people complaining are newbies or obsessively pull for every unit. I'm a F2P and I just pick and choose what I want. I'll have almost 300 contracts and 50k gems for this upcoming event, and I'm extremely fearful of no limited unit guarantee, where I could blow everything and only get normal SSRs that I already have permanent access to.
Sorry for rant. I just can't if the game goes in the opposite direction again. It completely kills an event when there's no guarantee for limiteds.

Yep. Exactly how I felt when I got a regular SSRs while pulling for Zest Quincy. Those units will probably sit and rot on my account forever. I'm just scared that if the events go back to 2 characters at a time, they'll screw with the pity/gacha system again. If they keep changing it every event, most players are bound to get pissed off.

Reversing the change just means that the limited banners get turned into the same bottomless pit, like you said, for people wanting limited characters.
Maybe I'm not meta enough, but I rather have a collection of all released Quincys or Yakumos, than a normal SSR who is 5 star ascended.

I thought his SSR scene was better than his SR. I've seen all the H scenes in the game (including event unit H scenes) and I don't get Garu's appeal. It's so awkward, half the time I actually start laughing at it...? But I'm aware I'm very biased.
It just sucks that eventually everyone will have to pull on a banner that contains both their most favorite and least favorite boy, as long as Nu Carnival offers no single banner, or some type of shard exchange system. Hopefully as the game ages, we get better ways to target the characters we want. Especially since it looks like reruns are improbable (they would have to be yearly to even make sense, since they are specialized to holidays/seasons).

Also, did you anons notice that after today's update, the SSRs have additional animations when they say their special unit lines? For example when Choco Yakumo says his "rich flavor" line, he'll lick the his raised hand holding a choco, Choco Edmond will raise the chocolate box a bit higher when he says his "sharing makes choco taste sweeter" line, meanwhile SSR Blade will bring his other hand closer to his face.
When I was looking through the files last time I noticed all SSRs animations were updated, so there might be even more added details. Strange that they didn't announce it? I only recall them saying they made some art fixes.

I didn't start data mining till MB so I don't have the older files to look back on, but my guess is that when the game first launched Blade and Dante's files were pre-loaded in. They've gotten smarter since then and now only add the corresponding H scenes (images and text), character models, and character images the day the event drops. For this upcoming event they loaded in some new character images, but the H scenes and character models are not in yet.

It should be possible if one is Unity-savvy. The scripts, shaders, prefabs etc. are all bundled in along with the texture files

It only adds to an existing shield, right? It doesn't grant shields like normal SSR Dante. So to really utilize it, you need the normal SSR Dante, because units like Morvay and Zest Quincy only shield themselves. Maybe I'm being too nitpicky.
No, you're right. I took a look at the Japanese text, and it clearly states that it just increases the effect of shields, nothing about it granting a shield.

I'm impressed at how NuGovernment's secret police was efficient in wiping out the presence of hscene leaks. The last I remember seeing one was on Dante's chapter 9 reveal where everyone mostly dissed him for having his shoes on, while the ignorant half got excited for a brown bottom.

Honestly this event was going to decide if I'd keep playing or not. I haven't visited social media yet though and people who can't control themselves are probably whining on Twitter... but this is a very, very good change. Sure, I wish it was 200 instead of 300, but whatever. Having the ability as a F2P to get exactly what boy you want is invaluable.
Hopefully they always keep a system like this, so we can plan better and always get what we want. I have 3 accounts that I rotate between and after this event, my Quincy account will have 300 contacts ready to go.

Yeah the confusing part is they say the 300th contract grants an item, but no one knows if that item "replaces" the roll itself, or is in addition to the roll. For example, we'll either get a unit (even if it's N or R) + the item. Or just the item. Thursday can't come quick enough.

This is universal to every gacha game, ever. NuCarnival gave us a quality change that guarantees you can get exactly what you want, if you just have a drop of patience.
Maybe it's manly the new players that don't understand how far we've come. There was no pity at all, at the beginning. This update is a blessing. I'm actually excited for the future of the game now.

And of course brute-forcing a game built on slim probabilities is going to be expensive. But... waiting is completely free. And that's the wonderful part.

As others said, saving for your favorites is the best reason to hoard. I suffered through WD and ZL in one of my accounts, having to give up on clearing the hard event stages, but when MB came it made all that worth it.

That and people who scream all the time about how stingy Nu:C is, ignoring any good changes they make and good free rewards we get. Add to that some who claim Genshin is so much better and not stingy at all. While it's true Genshin has a better pity system, at least Nu:C devs have been trying to improve things as opposed to giving players the middle finger in the game's anniversary with no event and garbage rewards.

I think they've been trying different systems to figure out what's most profitable, that's the only explanation for the game starting with no pity system, they wouldn't get away with removing it after all, but adding it later earns good faith while also racking in the profits of the banner with no pity. Hopefully they'll settle down with this one, at most tweaking the 100 pity part, I expect it to at least go up to 150 again whenever there's 3 units in a banner.

I saved since ZfL for the next Edmond, because he's my favourite. I wasnt sure which pity system we'd end up with on his next banner, so I saved my ass off to give myself the best chance of getting him in case there was no guarantee just like every other banner. Just don't roll on every single banner out of FOMO and focus on the boy(s) you like best.
People threw tantrums thinking it'd replace the 100 pity and doubled down after realizing they got angry for no reason. I hope the devs don't take it the wrong way and keep experimenting with shittier systems like Idol Fest.

Room 2 is Eiden playing with Edmond's nipples until he finishes just from that.

Are you me? Amazingly, a high well developed 2-3*+ SR Olivine along with my untouched level 1 multipliers and SR Yakumo could beat the final farming stage just fine. Glad they lowered the points ceiling too or else I’d probably never get the music and wallpapers.

Aiya. Then it was definitely worth rolling for. I just got him along with SR Dante after 82 rolls. I'm tempted to upgrade him to 2* with memory crystals since he seems to be a good attacker. Good luck breaking open room 5, anon.
Used over 200 contracts to get Edmond to 3*. Worth it for room 5, and I now need an Edmond with his hair down
Damn, I went all the way to 300 and only got him twice. The first time was at 285-ish rolls so I thought frick it, might as well see this through to get a 2* upgrade. At least it left me with a lot of memory crystals to get him to 3* with.
I got event Dante once and normal Dante twice though.
For those who unlock Dante's rooms please let us know if they are worth it. His original's rooms were so disappointing that I'm hesitating on touching him.

They're pretty good, Eiden is really loose and you learn a bit more about Dante's past and why he acts the way he does. The sex is a tiny bit dull, but definitely better than his SR/regular SSR's rooms.

And I think that half the problem is that they'll naturally be compared to Edmond's rooms, and they just hit it out of the park with his stuff thing time if you like romance with your porn.
Yes, it was up until the 4th room if memory serves me right. Basically, we already know from his non-event SSR and SR that his parents were kind people who died as a result of being too soft, according to him. We also find out that Dante was born very weak and that his mother was extremely protective of him. When the riots happened and she and his father died, he was so weak that he couldn't help them and he could only watch as she got killed. There was a bit more about how he wandered through the desert for several days and nights before being found by the elemental spirit his family had a pact with, but I can't recall the details and I can't check right now.
Edmond's rooms are pretty amazing in my opinion, but Dante's are fun in their own way too.
