You could do that already with PS4 dump its just that no one gave a frick about doing so lmao. Do people forgot that 7Remake models like Tifa got dumped off PS4 version and from that all that animated porn was made?
>Started LJ on PS4 a week ago, thought it was stuck there because of the Johnnys shit >Game is great but has ungodly load times and mediocre framerate on base PS4 >This happens
AAAAAAHHH
ALL I HAD TO DO WAS WAIT A BIT LONGER
I went through RGG Of the End this week and vomitted at the 15FPS framerate. How were we ok with sub-720p consoles chugging under 30FPS frame-rates a decade ago?
Is there no way to bruteforce higher framerate by giving emulator more juice? I've been thinking about playing Of The End (which is a much better name) myself.
Probably can do it, but I was playing on actual hardware since I had it on PSN.
The game literally lags during the opening cut-scene of Okinawa, so I had to brace myself. But then you do Heat actions that explode these gas-tank cars that tank the frame-rate. I dunno how Sony and Sega let this out the door for the hardware with how bad the framerate is.
No, and the games aren't meant to be played above 30 so they have stuff break. That's why the Remasters that aren't 1 and 2 introduce issues with the gameplay and framepacing in the case of Judgment. You can get it to stay a solid 30 on RPCS3 and play at 4K, but 4K 60 isn't a thing and it would most likely make it unplayable.
Even Kiwami 2 has issues going above 30fps on PC. Enemies can dodge out of combos which they wouldn't be able to normally and the toylet minigame is broken without a mod that framecaps it.
i'm pretty sure the emu version is 60fps. Idk if it's rendering double frames or whatever but I'm pretty sure that's what I tested it in and it looked good. Controls were shit though. idk if they were trying to make one up resident evil 4 or what but it gets tedious quick.
Yes, and those people are dirt poors that don't play on PC. After getting a PC, it's very VERY hard to go back to consoles and how much developers make concessions to 30FPS frame-rate for PRETTY GRAPHIX.
RGG 5's PS3 demo was alright but good god did 3, 4, and OtE look bad in comparison to the remasters on a similar resolution and better hardware.
>how much developers make concessions to 30FPS frame-rate for PRETTY GRAPHIX.
This isn't a decade ago every next gen game has performance mode as an option now
homie a decade ago you'd get laughed out of the room for thinking you could play Yakuza or countless other games on PC. I eventually switched to PC too but it wasn't until nip devs finally started releasing more and more shit on PC.
Yes I'm well aware but PC chads simply ignored those games until they caved. There was plenty to play back then and plenty to play back now. And yes the children who console warred back then are now grown ups with PCs, I'm aware of that too. It was thanks to the great push by Ganker and leddit a decade ago we're in an era where a PC release is unheard of.
It's not the same without his goofy ass smiling, doing all the school stories at once right after Sawa's death is probably the best case of "main story vs side content RGG protagonist" ever.
The funny part is that nobody would have even done anything bad or noteworthy if they didn't make a big deal about it. Now people are gonna mod him with a giant foam cowboy hat and a crack pipe.
its even more moronic because you can dump models from ps4 version anyways. it seems someone in studio told that management boomers and they said frick it lets release pc port we sitting on because we made it for stadia anyways
Does Lost Judgment really run like this in PS4?
Judgment ran okay so I was thinking about buying LJ when it goes on sale. Should I just wait for the PC version?
>Judgment ran okay
Judgment ran at like 24 FPS on most streets on a base PS4, it was only fine on a Pro and even then Amon and the cat cafe caused massive drops.
LJ runs the same as 7 so like 28-30.
>Lost Judgment easily has the best combat in the series
I found crane style really floaty in this one, even without the jumping mechanic, like my attacks would whiff a lot more than in J1. And Tiger felt off too, most obviously flux fissure was nerfed to all hell.
I have to admit 7 really hurt my internal image of the franchise (yes I consider them the same franchise). I'm still looking forward to finally playing this if it's true, but I'm definitely not as excited as I would've been pre-playing 7.
i'm sure it is, but i really wasn't that into the first one, and 7's gameplay was so horrid that it killed a lot of my interest in their titles,
maybe i'll turn back around in a few years, but at the moment i just can't muster up any will to care,
yeah, nearly the whole series was produced with a 'this might be the last one' mentality
I think 5 ending with kiryu maybe dying in the snow would have been a good ending, since it also had him accepting that he could never truly escape the yakuza and then he'd never have had to live to find out that haruke ditched the idol business and he wouldn't have been alive four years later to see her chink baby
I imagine people say this because they played it on a Ps4 or Xbone. I played it on PS5, game runs and plays like a dream. Enjoy PCgays, it is literally the most fun RGG game ever, the combat has never been as good.
I somewhat doubt that. I think in their eyes their bluepoint remasters are superior, so they'd want to keep that version on PS5 and release an original port to the PC. Then again, the DeS Bluepoint remaster was in the nvidia leak, so this one might happen too.
Would it have killed them to get a few more voice lines from Yagami saying people's names? Having him shout AMASAWA like he's angry at a dog that just pissed on the carpet every time he sees her got weird after a while.
Judgment is just a Yakuza game. If you don't like Yakuza games you won't like Judgment, it's functionally the same in how they handle pacing and storytelling except Judgment takes longer to start with its stories.
Would be useful to know if it was changed or was always that way. The probably planned to release it to PC so that's what they submitted, not knowing Johnny would be morons.
I'm looking through archive.org, maybe it is something. LJ's listing used to not have PC last year.
https://web.archive.org/web/20211022090622/https://www.esrb.org/ratings/37805/Lost+Judgment/
https://web.archive.org/web/20210921193801/https://www.esrb.org/ratings/36110/Judgment/
Same for Judgment. I find it weird that the PC listing wasn't included under the PS5/current gen remaster's entry.
That's probably stuck on PS4. I wonder if SEGA doesn't want to re-up the rights to HNK for a rerelease so much later (though they've had a long history with the IP so I can't imagine it'd be too much trouble). Maybe it's just sour grapes but I've heard it wasn't that great to begin with anyway.
>but I've heard it wasn't that great to begin with anyway.
Combat is some of the best and it has arguably the best boss fights they've ever done.
There's a lot of fanservice in items, the DTs, and the movesets.
Everything else is a wash. The new minigames (Barring Nightclub sort of restructuring how Cabaret Club works) are pretty bad, New Eden sucks as a town, it's got an enormous amount of grind for 100% but not as bad as Ishin or the BPs, the story is barebones, the overworld driving is unbelievably awful and makes Jak 2's driving look like it has tight controls even if you have the best parts, and it takes until chapter 6 until you are allowed to actually explore the maps how you feel like or do substories normally. They railroad you otherwise.
I was thinking about stable 30 and not sub-15 like on PS3.
Then yes, you can get it stable 30 no problem, you just need a decent enough computer.
>That would be a funny way past Johnny's terms.
Yeah, but it would require a lot more effort because every game going forward would need to have two different Yagamis with full game voice-over work done for PC and consoles because there is absolutely no way they'd switch him out on consoles.
No you moron, there's literally a twitter link in the OP. I'm not going to complain too much since this is good news, but the "rentfree" buzzphrase doesn't apply here.
I know that you dumbass, that's not the point. I'm saying your "rentfree" buzzphrase doesn't apply when a twitter link was literally posted in the OP. Rentfree would've been if he posted that image but there was literally no mention of twitter anywhere prior in the thread.
welp, more stuff i get to delete from my ps4 folder before ps4 emulators became viable
there's a very real chance that by the time big ass 3D ps4 games become playable on pc every single one of them will have been ported to pc EXCEPT bloodborne
kek
KEK
GIGAKEK
seriously, snoygays, give it up already. Its over. The era of exclusives is gone. Good riddance.
You can stop the console wars and enjoy life.
Just give up.
I can play Bloodborne through PS Now. You dont even have that.
Have the Yakuza PC ports been getting any filter mods to make them look more like their original release? I want good performance with the PS4's harsh lighting.
yeah, nearly the whole series was produced with a 'this might be the last one' mentality
I think 5 ending with kiryu maybe dying in the snow would have been a good ending, since it also had him accepting that he could never truly escape the yakuza and then he'd never have had to live to find out that haruke ditched the idol business and he wouldn't have been alive four years later to see her chink baby
The licensed patch guys told us they were going to look into it if Judgment ever got ported to PC but they didn't know if they could get it to work. I wish I had the exact post number but they mentioned they obviously weren't doing it when the rumors about it never getting a port were floating around. The only post I could quickly find about them saying they won't do it now after the news
[...]
.
They already made a mod for OG Hamura for hacked PS4s so that'll most likely get ported over at some point:
https://yakuzapatch.tumblr.com/post/624887671282630657/judgment-pierre-taki-restoration-patch-by-canzah
from what I've seen the PS5 version didn't do much but butcher the lighting, so I'm fine with this
Nah, it turned it blue and a lot of the outdoors turned a lot more blue. You should check some of the comparisons, it only really makes morning look slightly better. The remaster also introduced microstuttering into the mix and cut out the Pinball game they licensed and Puyo Puyo for Outrun and VF2 respectively.
Oh yeah, and Beta Yagami was already ported to PS4 as well so I'd expect that at some point.
Ishin and Kenzan too pls
Ishin and Kenzan soon, it's only a matter of time.
Kenzan Kiwami and an Ishin remake (Maybe Kiwami, maybe not) you mean. It's not going to be the original games, they've already said so.
https://jpgames.de/2021/02/interview-daisuke-sato-on-the-past-and-future-of-the-yakuza-series/
It's kind of similar but nah, Ayabe had a face actor and Beta Yagami is OC. The hair's also wildly different with Beta Yagami having that slicked hair while Ayabe's was slightly ruffled.
I don't care. Just give me a samurai game goddammit. You can't imagine how fricking angry I was when I found out the latest Way of the Samurai game was a fricking Diablo clone.
Nice. I've yet to finish the Yakuza series but I heard J and LJ were a good evolution of what they started in the later entries before switching to turn based with 7.
I remember wondering why that wasn't their immediate reaction to the agency wiener-blocking considering they had no issue doing it for the guy who got accused of using drugs or something. I can only speak for myself, but I don't like seeing pre-established and well known actors in my games or even movies.
>Judgment on Windows PC, Playstation 4 >Judgment on Playstation 5, Stadia, Xbox Series
It seems like they're porting the original Judgment to PC if there's no error here.
the green was disgusting and I got into my fair share of arguments when K2 was only out in japan about how shitty it looked
never seen anyone b***h about the orange filter in sotenbori though, unless this looks fine to you
I don't mind the green filter for Kamurcho that much, but they definitely overdid it a bit. Pull it back by 50% and it'd be fine. Sotenbori's definitely the lesser of two evils here.
Some scenes look pretty good in the remaster, but it is indeed an overall downgrade in the aesthetic department. Thankfully, LJ is more like the original, using darker, warm lighting for the game.
It's fantastic. Combat's improved a lot, the new school minigames are fun (except for one), and I thought the story was pretty damn good (some people thought they dropped the ball with it, so make your own opinion it, I guess).
I didn't mind the MC club (except that last race, frick you suou) but the damn robots were morons always getting in your way making it hard as shit until you can equip them with chips.
Worst part of it was making all the parts for 100%, you get so little funds I had to play a match over and over again
Yes, but the problem is the first few games you have no AI chips so you have to do everything yourself which is annoying and unbalanced, and everything after you get them is you watching your AI spawncamp the enemy AI in their base with hammers as you collect blocks to capture their base. Then when you get later into the minigame you just have one AI spawncamping their base as the other collects pieces for you so you don't even need to move from the path. If you don't go the spawncamp route then enjoy gunners killing you from across the map because they spam the shots as enemy AI turbos into the pieces and you barely ever get them.
I tried to play with AI that didn't spawncamp just to see how things would go and that's what happened for me all the time. It would either be a drill boy on your ass killing you constantly, a lightwight turboing into all the parts so you never get anything, a defense gunner spamming shots from afar that could one-shot you depending on how deep into the rankings you are, and both of your AI chasing a single enemy or part and barely know how to reorient afterward.
I always ran lightweight frame on myself because the others were far too slow at doing anything and the balanced one for my AI. I tried running balanced multiple times on myself and it was just awful for actually finishing matches in a reasonable amount of time and the defense frame is useless.
haven't seen too much of J and LJ, is the tone still pretty comparable to yakuza series? do they cut down on the melodrama and goof to an large extent?
Substories are where the goofs are with some serious ones here and there. The main story is serious with some jokes to lighten the mood every once in a while but for the most part serious.

Please do not pick on Amasawa she is a good (and sometimes dumb) girl.
Story takes significantly longer to start (It basically only stops its setup phase like 60% of the way in) and Yagami keeps harping on his point to the main antagonist because it's his main argument so people find it annoying.
Main antagonist is great, I really enjoy the person and they're one of my favorites in terms of an ideological struggle.
Combat is great. They balanced everything better though it still somewhat leans towards Judgment's same issue of Tiger coming out on top later on. But they get around that by giving you buffs from the other styles and making Crane far more useful. They also got rid of bounce blocks, it's only on fat guys now and they're rare. You also start with 6's triple speedup tier of combat speed.
School Stories are nice but about 40% of them felt phoned in with Death Racing and Robotics Club having decent stories but awful minigames.
Drone Racing got rebalanced so it's just about upgrading parts instead of the Pocket Circuit sort of deal but at the same time the tracks are far easier than Kamurocho's.
Skateboarding is the best addition they'd added since sprinting. Ijincho is improved over 7 and feels more alive because they plumped up the upper half with more usable buildings and shops.
https://www.ign.com/articles/2016/09/16/sega-once-considered-a-yakuza-game-set-outside-japan >On the series’ growing appeal among Western fans, Nagoshi said, “We get more and more comments from players overseas, and we do listen to them. In the West we have about 100,000 players, which compared to the players we have in Japan is a very small number, but we consider them to be very important fans, and we want to make games that they will enjoy.”
Since you seem new here, that was around the time they put Yakuza 5 as a PS Plus "free" game
You can't compare pre-popularity sales to current boom popularity sales.
The series has sold over 18 million copies worldwide. Only 2.8 million are on PC. The resst are on Playstation.
Ever since Yakuza came out on PC, PC sales amount to about 46% of all Yakuza series (including Judgment sales)
Just before Y0 PC release, the entire series sold around 11 million copies and the latest reported numbers when they reported on PC sales was 17 million, which includes Judgment.

Not true. The series sat at 16 million prior to the PC release. Now it's over 18 million.
PC sales sit at 2.8 million COMBINED.

Yakuza games were still on Playstation and that's where the majority of the sales come from.
They simply sold better there.
2.8 million for 8 games is bad. Especially when, aside from LAD, they were all discounted.

>They simply sold better there.
Sega's own data say that about 40-45% of all new Yakuza series sales come from PC, ever since they started releasing them on PC.
And that actually includes Judgment, which wasn't even released on PC.
No matter how much you try to spin it around, the PC releases were successful. You're too used to Call of Duty and FIFA.

It's literally in the article, moron.
It's a niche series, but acting like it sells well on PC when those numbers say otherwise is moronic.

Even if you do basic math, 17-2.8 is 14.2, large majority of which comes from Japan, when series struggled to get localization in the first place.
PC audience is the west, which is adequate to compare it to localization sales. And it appears to be doing much better than back in the western PS3 only days.

That's exactly what it is. They were eyeing 2-3 million copies sold with each entry. The only way they'd get that is by putting the games on everything and cutting prices.

haven't seen too much of J and LJ, is the tone still pretty comparable to yakuza series? do they cut down on the melodrama and goof to an large extent?
The drama is still there, but the tone is a bit different. Nagoshi described Yakuza as being about hot-blooded men fighting over honor and ideals, while Judgment is more about logic and justice (I can't remember the exact quote). There's still a lot of overlap.
The Judgment games really have their own identity outside of sharing the Yakuza setting. If you like one you're not guaranteed to like the other, is all I'm saying. Play the Judgement games, because they are really good, but if you want to see if you'll like the Yakuza games, I'd actually start with Kiwami. Since it's a remake of the very first original Yakuza game it's somewhat short and doesn't have an overwhelming amount of optional content.
The Judgment games do not expect you to know the Yakuza series' events, but still make minor callbacks to them. Very minor. The only Yakuza character cameos are in Lost Judgment and they aren't even voiced, they're just a little bone being tossed to Y7 fans.
I keep reading that LJ casually spoils some big thing in LAD, I haven't played that but I'm like 10 chapters deep in LJ and the only thing I can think of is the Tojo disbanding since Judgment. Was that it?
>However they don't say how or why it happened They kind of mention some specifics when you meet the one family leader who talks about people joining up with Daigo which implies he went off to do his own thing safely.
Yeah, that's it. Since it's the direct sequel to 7 it revolves around the impact of that. You'll meet an NPC later on in the story who goes into it a slight bit more but not by much, but it's still an important part of the story.
Lost Judgment brings the babes.
That b***hy highschool girl who looks like Itsuki Hirata? Would enter her bottom.

I still have too much to bother with selling mine. They need to port the MediEvil remake, FotNS Lost Paradise, The Last Guardian, Gundam Maxiboost, Wipeout Omega, both Gravity Rushes, Sakura Wars and Kyoei Toshi before I'll consider it. Plus I already have EDF 6 in the mail.
>but didn't get Lost Judgement cause PS5
But LJ is on PS4.
I saw the graphical difference and load time difference. I was not going to play it on the PS4 pro since I was considering getting the PS5 eventually.
It is 2022, the PS5 is still out of stock and LJ is coming to PC first.
>but didn't get Lost Judgement cause PS5
But LJ is on PS4.
NTA but I did get the PS4 version and I couldn't stomach it, the performance was akin to shoving my fingers down my throat and vomiting my lunch and plugging it into a TV.
Judgment is 2018, it's after 6.
Lost Judgment is 2021, it's after 7.
Both games reference the games before them to a degree but LJ is the one that requires 7 to have happened and its events would lead to 8 happening whereas Judgment could be taken in a bubble.
A huge chunk of stuff in Judgment is just visual references barring what is said in that one screenshot/substory, if you smoke in Little Asia, and the secret boss. Even then it's less than a handful of things. It probably has the least amount of references to a previous game. We're talking like seeing one of the baseball teams from 6 at the Kamurocho batting center, it's that level of visual referencing.
Lost Judgment will spoil what happens in the last third of 7 because what happened in it is required for the story of LJ to happen at all and revolves around the consequences of it happening. But even then it's said in the most general of ways, they don't go heavily into detail about it. Outside of that it's mostly visual references again. It references Judgment far more than mainline to be honest.
Reminder to pirate the DLC so you can get the full Yagami moveset. The homosexuals at sega locked the boxing style behind the season pass so you're only playing as 75% Yagami without it.
Well, normally when a game is ported to PC after months/years, I expect it to be a complete edition. No way I'm paying for a DLC made before the game even releases.
This is why I don't really mind waiting. Nioh 2, for example, was released with all DLCs as a part of the game, and at a very good price from the start.
IIRC, Sega weren't really too israeli about their PC ports.
when sega released bayonetta and vanquish on steam, they were £20 each, which isn't bad for a decade old games
obviously I'm not expecting quite so similar treatment from judgment since it's not as old, but £35 or so wouldn't be too bad
tbh I'd rebuy both games despite more or less finishing them within the past month if they sold them as a $60-70 double pack. That feels like wishful thinking though.
I'm really hoping for a 30$ JE remaster, and a 40 LJ at most. But I know SEGA will be greedy fricks and I know regional pricing will frick me in the ass.
They gave away the Clan Creator DLC for first purchasers when K2 released on PC but 6 still had you pay for the Clan Creator cards. PC had them as a bundle though, it's not individual like on PS4. 7 had all the same DLC as normal.
If Judgment is going to be the remaster (Which I believe the Stadia one is) the you get all the DLC on disk so it has all the cheat DLC by default.
https://www.amazon.com/luna/detail/B09W62JYCM
Amazon Luna made you pay full price for the LJ DLC so expect the same, I doubt they'll come individually.
This isn't real. The actor's agency already said no. Unless somehow Sega gave them a lot of money or convinced them to stop being moronic this is a fake tweet.
The ESRB listing is real, no need for the shitter middleman.
https://www.esrb.org/search/?searchKeyword=Judgment&platform=All%20Platforms&rating=E%2CE10%2B%2CT%2CM%2CAO&descriptor=All%20Content&pg=1&searchType=All&ielement[]=all
Either Sega worked something out with the agency or they replaced his model.

Comparing Kimura Yagami to beta its obvious which one actually fits the character, and which was just for publicity.
His entire character arc was accepting what happened in his first trial, and he's supposed to be disorganized and unmotivated at the beginning of the story. Having the pretty boy in a girls leather jacket never really meshes with his character, and unironically bothered me most of the game.
Beta looks more unkempt, grittier, way better than what we got
Oh yeah, and Beta Yagami was already ported to PS4 as well so I'd expect that at some point.

Kenzan Kiwami and an Ishin remake (Maybe Kiwami, maybe not) you mean. It's not going to be the original games, they've already said so.
https://jpgames.de/2021/02/interview-daisuke-sato-on-the-past-and-future-of-the-yakuza-series/
Beta Yagami looks much better than Kimura imo
Sick and tired of these shitty facescanned celebs in games, they ruin all semblance of uniqueness and cause licensing and agency problems. Hopefully that bogged frick leaving means less celeb cameos in RGGS but allegedly Nanba is back for RGG8 so I'm not holding my fricking breath.

RGG's been doing this shit since Yakuza 3, mate. They're not gonna stop, and why would they? People love the characters and how they look.

These are definitely some of the better face scans of known actors. They made them look really good.

I'm hoping Nanba is a cameo. I do not want to drag around a homeless parade again in Y8. I'm hoping we get Daigo, Akiyama, Shinada, Tanimura, Zhou, and/or Watase as companions.

>I'm hoping Nanba is a cameo.
There's no way they would pay the money to get an actor and use them for a short cameo. He's either a party member or a main character.

I'd love to see Shinada doing better. Maybe not a party member but helps out Ichiban because he knows how it is to be at rock bottom. I would be very happy if they just got rid of Nick so Akiyama could come back when it is clear thats who Nick's character was supposed to be.

I think Shinada would be the same pervy trainwreck he's always been. but I'd love to see him make a comeback in whatever way. They shoehorned in kiryu of all characters into Y7 for some reason. They can do Shinada.
Why couldn't they have just modified the MC's face to be somebody else? Like the Peter parker treatment on Spiderman PS4. Shit was always a non-issue to me.
Anyway, hope this is real. Would buy it on PC
Because RGG games are fairly low budget and it would mean a completely new build they'd need to make specifically for PC only that involves the new Yagami.
It means completely redoing all the voiced lines of the entire game, potentially redoing the disguise models (I don't know if they just slap the head onto the clothes or actually make individual models), and needing to QA this separate version to make sure no issues crop up due to the new model or voices. Then they'd have to do this for every single game that goes forward while the console versions have Kimura's version and possibly the PC version model as a bonus.
Replacing Tanimura or Hamura is nothing compared to the effort they'd need to go through with Yagami. Tanimura only had a handful of voiced substories and his part was the shortest of the four. Even if you factor in the finale I'm pretty sure he still has the least lines out of everyone considering one of his chapters is just a long gauntlet of him running in between two short cutscenes. Meanwhile Hamura is only in a handful of cutscenes and his longest group of dialogue is the second interrogation so replacing him isn't that big of a deal.
This is also the Dragon Engine era of games so even more dialogue is voiced than back in the day.
If they actually go through with the swap then I'll be surprised because that means a lot of work on their end going forward unless they straight up kick Kimura out and just go with the OC one.
>It means completely redoing all the voiced lines of the entire game
Wasn't the issue with the talent agency just about ripping the actor's model? So it's about his visual appearance and what modders could do with it, not the voiced lines
I'm obviously not a professional in the legal field, but I don't see why that's a problem.
Even if the face and voices are a package deal, they could simply just not use the face for the PC release. There should be no clause within the deal that says they HAVE to use that actor's face on Yagami. It just means that RGG Studio ended up paying for a face that they couldn't use on PC.
Anyway, it's all irrelevant now since apparently the games are coming on PC
It could probably be that they don't want Kimura to be used at all on PC which means his voice performance as well as his facial performance. They probably don't have wiggle room otherwise this would have been a non-issue to begin with because of exactly that.
I see they really want to rebrand Yakuza to Like a Dragon. Probably all new releases will now be called Like a Dragon. Why bother at this point? The brand is already well known in the west.
>Like a Dragon: Ishin is the first title from RGG studio to be built on Unreal Engine 4, bringing astounding graphical quality to the Like a Dragonfranchise. Developing on Unreal Engine 4 has unlocked new textures and other graphical details that make Ishin’sgripping story one of the most cinematic tales in RGG history.
I don't know whether to be happy or upset about UE4. On the one hand, no more shitty Dragon Engine and its awful performance, on the other, it is UE4. But I don't really fall for "engine bad" memes, there are shitload different games on UE4.
This is the RGG team, they don't tend to have a good outing on their first game on a new engine so err on the side of caution. 5 is like the only exception and that's still sort of just a modified Kenzan engine.
>no kenzan remaster
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about ishin, but despite a script existing, nobody has bothered bringing out a patch for RPCS3. Let's hope they're working on it.
>nobody has bothered bringing out a patch for RPCS3
Because the only people trying it were using KHHSubs and his translation and trying to find people to help translate everything else since KHH himself only did specific options in the main story, none of the random NPC dialogue around town, and only like four substories total. You can read more from them
[...]
. They spent years having to deal with issue after issue cropping up. You can see their recent updates in
release schedule will probably be >judgment and lost judgment on PC: soon after it's revealed tomorrow >ishin remaster: february 2023 >yakuza 8: late summer, early fall 2023 >kenzan remaster: between downtime of yakuza 8 and another judgement sequel
now that takuya's agency has let go of his ballsack, i'm sure judgment 3 will be happening in like late 2024
Never played anything Yakuza and I'm on PC
Since Judgment, Lost Judgment and Ishin are coming to PC where I should start and what games should I play in the meantime to catch up on the series?
You can either start from 0 (Which is the apex of the franchise in terms of writing and gameplay systems, outshined by Kiwami 1 in some aspects) Or go the purist side and start with Yakuza 1 and 2 emulated on the PS2 (Yakuza 1 has horrible english dub however)
When you get 0 or 1 and 2 out of the way you can do 3-7 which are all available on Steam. Judgment series is completely standalone from the mainline series so you can hop onto that whenever you feel like it.
0
Kiwami (full remake of 1 with more modern gameplay)
Kiwami 2 (see above)
3 (remaster of a PS3 game so it will feel a bit more dated)
4 (see above)
5 (see above)
6
Judgement
7
Lost Judgement
Judgement games are standalone but Lost Judgement in particular can has things in it that spoil a very big moment in 7
barely, by the time he gets to Y4 he'll have forgot all about the few references. I played 0 first and I knew more about what happened in Y4 from here than I did from Y0 and I played Y0 5 times in a row.
Nice. Can't wait for all the MC gay porn.
>Nibel
Whatever, but are they making a 3rd game or is Yagami doomed to unexistence thanks to Johnny's?
After LJ I don't want any more sequels(at least with Yagami as the main character)
Because you hate Yagami or that the ending to his story was good?
He hates that Yagami became some shitty seigi no mikata in LJ.
who?
Gonna extract the MC's model and make an SFM of him smoking weed.
His model's literally been extracted from the PS4 version for years now. Get cracking, anon.
You could do that already with PS4 dump its just that no one gave a frick about doing so lmao. Do people forgot that 7Remake models like Tifa got dumped off PS4 version and from that all that animated porn was made?
>all that animated porn was made?
I don't think the Italian forgot.
Johnnys: NOOOOOOO YOU BASTARD
nice movies

>Started LJ on PS4 a week ago, thought it was stuck there because of the Johnnys shit
>Game is great but has ungodly load times and mediocre framerate on base PS4
>This happens
I was thinking about stable 30 and not sub-15 like on PS3.
It's not, it's 30 FPS. The game is only able to go to 30. The pause menu is 60 FPS but that's it.
I mean, there are people who are okay with it today
Yes, and those people are dirt poors that don't play on PC. After getting a PC, it's very VERY hard to go back to consoles and how much developers make concessions to 30FPS frame-rate for PRETTY GRAPHIX.
RGG 5's PS3 demo was alright but good god did 3, 4, and OtE look bad in comparison to the remasters on a similar resolution and better hardware.
its ok when nintendo does it im not a tendie I swear !!!!
>how much developers make concessions to 30FPS frame-rate for PRETTY GRAPHIX.
This isn't a decade ago every next gen game has performance mode as an option now
The only switch game worth playing that doesn't run at 60 is astral chain.
We weren't. That's why everyone that wasn't a child switched to PC. I was running games at 1080 60 fps on my gtx 570 then
homie a decade ago you'd get laughed out of the room for thinking you could play Yakuza or countless other games on PC.
Don't buy a Switch.
Played spiderman on pro and finished it like a month before pc announcement. Happens.
Please, be real. I want to go back to Kamurocho already.
Sega realized they can rip models regardless
It's not the same without his goofy ass smiling, doing all the school stories at once right after Sawa's death is probably the best case of "main story vs side content RGG protagonist" ever.
We're going up and down, you know
We're going up and down, you know

>niggel
fantastic news if true though.
Protag looks like too much of a sissy for me to care. Nowhere near as cool as Kyriu or Wei Shen.
Hope this shit is real. This was the whole reason they were killing the series, right?
reminder jannies declined pc port because he thought the modability would harm the actor's image
Should I just wait for the PC version?
lost judgment is alright on PS4, i'd at least wait and see when it's coming out, assuming they'll show it at the RGG summit thing tomorrow
Always wait for a PC version. Always.
>Judgment ran okay
Judgment ran at like 24 FPS on most streets on a base PS4, it was only fine on a Pro and even then Amon and the cat cafe caused massive drops.
LJ runs the same as 7 so like 28-30.
I would wait. Lost Judgment easily has the best combat in the series and it sucks playing it at shaky 30.
>Lost Judgment easily has the best combat in the series
I found crane style really floaty in this one, even without the jumping mechanic, like my attacks would whiff a lot more than in J1. And Tiger felt off too, most obviously flux fissure was nerfed to all hell.
If you were fine with how judgment ran, you'll be fine with lost judgment.
it's been a while but I had the impression that LJ ran better than judgment, but i'm not sure.
PS4 bro here, Lost Judgment ran really well, no (visible/noticable) issues
starting a detective agency with amasawa and marrying her and having children!
>this could be real
>i don't care
i think 7 really did kill all my interest in RGG studio titles, holy shjit
I have to admit 7 really hurt my internal image of the franchise (yes I consider them the same franchise). I'm still looking forward to finally playing this if it's true, but I'm definitely not as excited as I would've been pre-playing 7.
Lost Judgment is MUCH better than 7, easily one of the most fun RGG games
i'm sure it is, but i really wasn't that into the first one, and 7's gameplay was so horrid that it killed a lot of my interest in their titles,
maybe i'll turn back around in a few years, but at the moment i just can't muster up any will to care,
>Lost Judgment is MUCH better than 7
better gameplay, worse story
LJ really feels like a needless sequel after the first game did such a good job telling a self-contained story
You could pretty much say that about Yakuza as a whole.
yeah, nearly the whole series was produced with a 'this might be the last one' mentality
I think 5 ending with kiryu maybe dying in the snow would have been a good ending, since it also had him accepting that he could never truly escape the yakuza
and then he'd never have had to live to find out that haruke ditched the idol business and he wouldn't have been alive four years later to see her chink baby
y8 is probably going to feel like that when it introduces a billion new characters for ichiban to meet
What new classes could we possibly get that weren't covered in 7?
i cant wait for people to be let down by how bad judgement 2 is
What? LJ is one of the best RGG games
I imagine people say this because they played it on a Ps4 or Xbone. I played it on PS5, game runs and plays like a dream. Enjoy PCgays, it is literally the most fun RGG game ever, the combat has never been as good.
While LJ had the superior gameplay, in terms of characters and storyline, hands down Judgement was superior.
Sure. But I am too busy having fun in LJ to care.
Oh yeah LJ is fun for sure. I think LJ will continue the spirit of the original Yakuza games while ML Yakuza turns into an RPG.
the story, characters, writing, world, content, were all garbage, the prequel was miles ahead and had things the sequel didn't like friends.
There's almost no chance in hell of Sony announcing a Bloodborne port today but this news is just as good in my book.
>SONY OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCES THE PC PORT OF THE BLOODBORNE BLUEPOINT REMAKE
I liked the demon's souls remake so I wouldn't be mad about this tbh
Eventually ps4 emulation will be a thing for the original anyway
I somewhat doubt that. I think in their eyes their bluepoint remasters are superior, so they'd want to keep that version on PS5 and release an original port to the PC. Then again, the DeS Bluepoint remaster was in the nvidia leak, so this one might happen too.
Frick it, I'll take it. I'll take that monkey's paw.
NOOOOO MY COMPUTER GHOSTS
I want a game with Amasawa as a protagonist.
she's cute
Would it have killed them to get a few more voice lines from Yagami saying people's names? Having him shout AMASAWA like he's angry at a dog that just pissed on the carpet every time he sees her got weird after a while.
>Having him shout AMASAWA like he's angry at a dog that just pissed on the carpet every time he sees her got weird
LMAO. That's Japanese in general.
they're a small indie company, please understand, make game very hard
does judgment have more gameplay than yakuza or is it just another glorified vn?
It's brawler combat.
Judgment is just a Yakuza game. If you don't like Yakuza games you won't like Judgment, it's functionally the same in how they handle pacing and storytelling except Judgment takes longer to start with its stories.
Good, but someone should take the original MC's model and have him suck and frick horses in SFM and send it to his talent agency. Frick those morons.
I thought that already happened
that would be weird haha
Nooo why would you do that hahaha
>yagami-san!
>AMASAWA
>shin no meitantai naraba
There I just summed up all their dialogue
Yeah not getting my hopes up, this is the same ESRB that forgot the NG Master Collection was going to Xbox and Switch.
Would be useful to know if it was changed or was always that way. The probably planned to release it to PC so that's what they submitted, not knowing Johnny would be morons.
I'm looking through archive.org, maybe it is something. LJ's listing used to not have PC last year.
https://web.archive.org/web/20211022090622/https://www.esrb.org/ratings/37805/Lost+Judgment/
https://web.archive.org/web/20210921193801/https://www.esrb.org/ratings/36110/Judgment/
Same for Judgment. I find it weird that the PC listing wasn't included under the PS5/current gen remaster's entry.
Now I believe it.
STEVEN CARSON, WHAT THE FRICK IS TAKING SO LONG? GIVE ME MY FUTA JK ALREADY!!!
WHERE IS LOST PARADISE
WHERE IS LOST PARADISE
WHERE IS LOST PARADISE
WHERE IS LOST PARADISE
Then yes, you can get it stable 30 no problem, you just need a decent enough computer.
Don't worry bros, it's coming to Yuzu!
?t=476
Why would these pieces of shit bait me like this
even though nagoshi is no longer there, his hatred of nintendo has permanently taken root in the studio
Hokuto bros, it's over, Sega is doomed company, they will never learn.
Are they using yagami's original design then?
That would be a funny way past Johnny's terms. A mod with the original model would be out before the game even launched, kek.
>That would be a funny way past Johnny's terms.
Yeah, but it would require a lot more effort because every game going forward would need to have two different Yagamis with full game voice-over work done for PC and consoles because there is absolutely no way they'd switch him out on consoles.
Yeah, from what I understand, he's also a big pull for why it performed so well in Japan.
This model is way better for the character than a jpop prettyboy. Hes still good though but seeing this one makes a lot more sense.
Dang, well there goes my two extra reasons for even owning a PS5
Rentfree
No you moron, there's literally a twitter link in the OP. I'm not going to complain too much since this is good news, but the "rentfree" buzzphrase doesn't apply here.
It's literally relevant gaming news you idiot, save your TWITTER BAD nonsense for actual asine Twitter screencap threads
I know that you dumbass, that's not the point. I'm saying your "rentfree" buzzphrase doesn't apply when a twitter link was literally posted in the OP. Rentfree would've been if he posted that image but there was literally no mention of twitter anywhere prior in the thread.
shut the frick up already you autistic sperg and touch grass
I accept your concession.
welp, more stuff i get to delete from my ps4 folder before ps4 emulators became viable
there's a very real chance that by the time big ass 3D ps4 games become playable on pc every single one of them will have been ported to pc EXCEPT bloodborne
>4 fricking years later
I hope people will mod the Yagami to do the vilest shit just to spite his agency
Fricking homosexuals
Me waiting for the Saori sex mods
neato. i just want to larp as onizuka in the sequel
RGG Summit is tomorrow right?
I hope there will be a mod that allows the use of disguises in free roam.

>Kimura underwear only mod... ON
yep, its gamer time
I liked new Hamura. He looks a bit less menacing but it fits his character in the final stretch of the game more I think.
best girl
What was Kamulop's name again? I know we befriended an information broker in 2, 4, 5. It's one of those mysteries I'll never solve
Neat. Good thing I didn't cave in and buy the PS4 versions to suffer through 30fps gameplay. Waitchads always win baybeeh
each day the reasons to get me a used PS4 keep shrinking
Nice honestly, it looked interesting. I will play it.
Does this mean we're gonna get Judgement 3 because Johnny's finally realized how stupid they were being?
Just gimme Ichiban 2.
kek
KEK
GIGAKEK
seriously, snoygays, give it up already. Its over. The era of exclusives is gone. Good riddance.
You can stop the console wars and enjoy life.
Just give up.
I can play Bloodborne through PS Now. You dont even have that.
>You can stop the console wars and enjoy life
We won the console war in 1998 and been enjoying life ever since
Boy ain't right
Have the Yakuza PC ports been getting any filter mods to make them look more like their original release? I want good performance with the PS4's harsh lighting.
There are filter mods to remove green tint from Kiwami 2, so I assume someone will make PS4 lighting mod for Judgment.
Fukken nice, definitely getting these, then.
Dunno what you mean, but there is that Tanimura original actor mod and "uncensor"/music restored and Saejima Japanese WW2 army outfit restored mod.
The licensed patch guys told us they were going to look into it if Judgment ever got ported to PC but they didn't know if they could get it to work. I wish I had the exact post number but they mentioned they obviously weren't doing it when the rumors about it never getting a port were floating around. The only post I could quickly find about them saying they won't do it now after the news
.
They already made a mod for OG Hamura for hacked PS4s so that'll most likely get ported over at some point:
https://yakuzapatch.tumblr.com/post/624887671282630657/judgment-pierre-taki-restoration-patch-by-canzah
Kenzan Kiwami and an Ishin remake (Maybe Kiwami, maybe not) you mean. It's not going to be the original games, they've already said so.
https://jpgames.de/2021/02/interview-daisuke-sato-on-the-past-and-future-of-the-yakuza-series/
Wait, is beta Yagami just Ayabe
It's kind of similar but nah, Ayabe had a face actor and Beta Yagami is OC. The hair's also wildly different with Beta Yagami having that slicked hair while Ayabe's was slightly ruffled.
>slightly ruffled.
homie had a bird nest on his head.
Seeing as how Ayabe is based off a real person, no.
I don't care. Just give me a samurai game goddammit. You can't imagine how fricking angry I was when I found out the latest Way of the Samurai game was a fricking Diablo clone.
Cool. Free new games.
Nice. I've yet to finish the Yakuza series but I heard J and LJ were a good evolution of what they started in the later entries before switching to turn based with 7.
>no Lost Paradise.
Guess my Ps4 is staying hooked up.
kek everything comes to PC eventually, either through a port or through emulation
First game was pretty cool. Started playing Lost right after and got bored. Might try to play it again in a few months.
Finally, now I don't need to dust off my PS4
Probably going to replace all the famous actors with OCs
Only the main character is likely I think, and even then modders will fix it day 1
I remember wondering why that wasn't their immediate reaction to the agency wiener-blocking considering they had no issue doing it for the guy who got accused of using drugs or something. I can only speak for myself, but I don't like seeing pre-established and well known actors in my games or even movies.
>Judgment on Windows PC, Playstation 4
>Judgment on Playstation 5, Stadia, Xbox Series
It seems like they're porting the original Judgment to PC if there's no error here.
from what I've seen the PS5 version didn't do much but butcher the lighting, so I'm fine with this
>characters not looking gravely ill yellow skin is "butchering"
I bet you thought the green made Kamurocho look "gritty" too
He was talking about Judgment tho, and Judgment original had great lighting which was downgraded for performance on shitty consoles.
That "gravely ill yellow skin" is how asians actually look
the green was disgusting and I got into my fair share of arguments when K2 was only out in japan about how shitty it looked
never seen anyone b***h about the orange filter in sotenbori though, unless this looks fine to you
I don't mind the green filter for Kamurcho that much, but they definitely overdid it a bit.
I guess those agents finally lost their judgment.
just ordered lost judgement for the ps4, i'm not paying 60 dollars
Fricking finally, Lost Judg and Judgment were nigh unplayable performance wise on the PoS4
Now I actually have no reason to get a PS5
Ishin and Kenzan too pls
Ishin and Kenzan soon, it's only a matter of time.
Haha, I wish.
holy fricking shit
AYEEEEEE ISHIN/KENZANgayS...
I KNEEL
I hope there be a mod that lets you wear disguises in free roam while playing as Yagami.
First day buy if true
My eyes on Reichan
Cazzo come godo anonnoni
Until it's confirmed, idc.
How does LJ compare to the original? I only played the first one and was holding out on buying the second
It's fantastic. Combat's improved a lot, the new school minigames are fun (except for one), and I thought the story was pretty damn good (some people thought they dropped the ball with it, so make your own opinion it, I guess).
>except for one
Robotics?
NTA, but for me, robotics was pretty easy. The motorcycle club can go frick itself though
I didn't mind the MC club (except that last race, frick you suou) but the damn robots were morons always getting in your way making it hard as shit until you can equip them with chips.
Worst part of it was making all the parts for 100%, you get so little funds I had to play a match over and over again
Robotics was great, you guys know you insta win if you build a block on the glowing enemy base right?
Yes, but the problem is the first few games you have no AI chips so you have to do everything yourself which is annoying and unbalanced, and everything after you get them is you watching your AI spawncamp the enemy AI in their base with hammers as you collect blocks to capture their base. Then when you get later into the minigame you just have one AI spawncamping their base as the other collects pieces for you so you don't even need to move from the path. If you don't go the spawncamp route then enjoy gunners killing you from across the map because they spam the shots as enemy AI turbos into the pieces and you barely ever get them.
I never experienced anything like that at all.
Always ignore namegays
Substories are where the goofs are with some serious ones here and there. The main story is serious with some jokes to lighten the mood every once in a while but for the most part serious.
>her face
Please do not pick on Amasawa she is a good (and sometimes dumb) girl.
That's exactly why she deserves bullying.
Great combat, mediocre story, good side content
Ijincho is improved over 7 and feels more alive because they plumped up the upper half with more usable buildings and shops.

have a nice day
Very glad, I was close to caving and getting the ps4 version of judgement.
Judgment 3 ft. Nanba
How are they going to sell this game with a completely different character? Are Sega really saying "all rook the same"
Who gives a shit? Celebrity worship is cancer in every culture.
Good. Now you begging c**ts better buy it.
Because the 2.8 million Yakuza PC sales are shockingly bad.
Yakuza 5 in the west on PS3 sold "around 100k"
Good bait
https://www.ign.com/articles/2016/09/16/sega-once-considered-a-yakuza-game-set-outside-japan
>On the series’ growing appeal among Western fans, Nagoshi said, “We get more and more comments from players overseas, and we do listen to them. In the West we have about 100,000 players, which compared to the players we have in Japan is a very small number, but we consider them to be very important fans, and we want to make games that they will enjoy.”
Since you seem new here, that was around the time they put Yakuza 5 as a PS Plus "free" game
moron, I wasn't doubting the number. But that was squeezed out as a digital only release right at the very end of the PS3 life.
>PC sales amount to about 46% of all Yakuza series
*of all new Yakuza series sales
Reminder that the games also came out on Xbox
>Just before Y0 PC release, the entire series sold around 11 million copies and the latest reported numbers when they reported on PC sales was 17 million, which includes Judgment.
Not true. The series sat at 16 million prior to the PC release. Now it's over 18 million.
PC sales sit at 2.8 million COMBINED.
I doubt it sold well there either. Game Pass and that.
>Not true. The series sat at 16 million prior to the PC release.
You can't just lie like that. We have archive of Sega's IR publicly available
Report from fiscal year ending in March 2018
>Ryu ga Gotoku series
>Approx. 10.5 million units
https://www.segasammy.co.jp/english/ir/library/pdf/printing_annual/2017/2017ar_all_e_.pdf
Y0 on PC was released in August 2018
Report from fiscal year ending in March 2022
>Ryu ga Gotoku series 2005
>Approx. 17.0 million units
https://www.segasammy.co.jp/english/ir/library/pdf/printing_annual/2021/ir_2021_web_all_en.pdf
So how can PC sales be so high and yet only be 2.8 million?
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-yakuza-series-reaches-28-million-sales-on-pc/
Believe it or not, but 2.8 million is a lot
Yakuza 6 was the first game in the entire series to ever reach 1 million copies globally (after Japanese, Chinese and finally western release)
All worth it for Haruto flying.
8 games. 7 discounted. 2.8 million sold.
That's bad. No matter how SEGA want to polish it.
You're dividing Yakuza Remastered Collection into 3 products, schizo.
>That's bad.
If that's bad, that applies to the entire series, not just PC release.
6.5 million in 10 multiplatform games.
>schizo
It's literally in the article, moron.
It's a niche series, but acting like it sells well on PC when those numbers say otherwise is moronic.
Then you look at Steam Charts and see that the player numbers are abysmal as well. Not one game passed 9,500 concurrent players.
>It's literally in the article, moron.
It literally isn't.
>The Yakuza SERIES reaches 2.8 million sales on PC
8 games, man.
You're also not mentioning how sales on Playstation boomed and that's why the series is where it's at.
16 million on console. 2.8 million on PC.
>8 games, man.
That's not what it says. The number is never specified.
>16 million on console. 2.8 million on PC.
Even if you do basic math, 17-2.8 is 14.2, large majority of which comes from Japan, when series struggled to get localization in the first place.
PC audience is the west, which is adequate to compare it to localization sales. And it appears to be doing much better than back in the western PS3 only days.
New sales. While everyone wanting to play them has already. Pc sales are horrible
>While everyone wanting to play them has already.
Yakuza 3, 4, 5 remasters, 7, Judgment, Lost Judgment were all released after the Y0 PC port.
>It's bad!
And that's why they weren't happy about no judgment on PC and why they keep pushing doing PC ports including day 1 releases? Evidently Sega think and know otherwise than some seething gay on Ganker.
Padding sales numbers seems like the reason. Doesn't matter how low they are, SEGA want more.
That's exactly what it is. They were eyeing 2-3 million copies sold with each entry. The only way they'd get that is by putting the games on everything and cutting prices.
You can't compare pre-popularity sales to current boom popularity sales.
The series has sold over 18 million copies worldwide. Only 2.8 million are on PC. The resst are on Playstation.
haven't seen too much of J and LJ, is the tone still pretty comparable to yakuza series? do they cut down on the melodrama and goof to an large extent?
Melodrama is through the roof in the main story. Goofy stuff is mostly relegated to side cases
The drama is still there, but the tone is a bit different. Nagoshi described Yakuza as being about hot-blooded men fighting over honor and ideals, while Judgment is more about logic and justice (I can't remember the exact quote). There's still a lot of overlap.
Not reading the whole thread, just tell me straight, is this real or just speculation/bullshit?
ESRB has a listing for the games on PC but they haven't actually been announced so take from it what you will
Thanks
Wait 16 hours if you really want to know
Deep, deep down I hope for a Lost Paradise pc port. But I'm not exactly hopeful here.
Oh, oh yeah. Always wanted to get into the RGG's games. Tried Y8 but didn't like turned based, so this seems like a good entry point for a noobie.
That's exactly it. However they don't say how or why it happened so the mystery in LaD isn't exactly spoiled. Pretty decent way of handling it.
>However they don't say how or why it happened
They kind of mention some specifics when you meet the one family leader who talks about people joining up with Daigo which implies he went off to do his own thing safely.
Amasawa? Same.
Saori? Same.
Mikiko? The Ace.
i am severely mentally handicapped
plz tell how to filter these with 4chinx
For that specific spam this would probably work fine.
/towai#0408/i
The i makes it case-insensitive. You can also do
/towai#0408/i;stub:no;
stub:no makes it so the post doesn't even leave the stub but keep in mind this ALSO hides replies to the post.
I'm not good enough with regex to filter any better than this.
looks good, thanks
should be majima walking in with park-san on the bed and he's making the "you're so pathetic" face in the last panel
thank christ almost caved in and bought a ps5
Conflicted about this. I would love to play both Judgements on PC but I bought a PS5 to play Gravity Rush 1+2, FF7R2, and both Judgements, Judgement going to PC takes half the reasons of why I bought a PS5 away.
>bought PS5 for exclusives
kek, at least you'll probably be able to sell it at no loss if you didn't get q scalped one
>scapled one
im pretty sure you can get a PS5 easy. my walmart has a few in stock everyday.
Yeah, at $700.
PS5s still sell for around $600 on ebay.
>Yeah, at $700.
if you live in canada, probably. but here you can get them MSRP
You were saying?
that's kinda cheap
frick this thirdie shithole PS5 hasn't dropped from 1k since release
Yeah, third world countries are the worst when it comes to any gaming hardware.
Pretty sure if I lived in any kind of third world shithole, I'd just play emulators on a cheap android phone.
most just buy used, which is what I'll probably do few years from now
in stores, dumbass. walmart online is basically ebay at this point
>inside stores where there is no competition and it's easier to rip off people prices are lower than online, where you compete in pricing with everyone else
It's already hard to believe you claim there are any just lying around in the first place. I've never seen any and whenever I ask people who don't have one yet they also complain about it not being available in stores.
well i have a buddy that works at walmart, and he tells me there's around 4-5 ps5s every week, though they will only allow you to buy 1 per family
>they will only allow you to buy 1 per family
polygamous chads always win
just don't be a dumbass, and have your family or buddy walk the other way before buying one lol.
If you do say the truth (I have my doubts), this is definitely not the same everywhere.
The original point still stands, he can definitely sell his PS5 for more than he bought it, persuming he bought it at msrp, as they still sell for scalper prices online.
well you do live in a communist state where people can just steal shit, so yeah it makes sense why your place barely has any.
flyover state stays winning if you want a piss5( don't understand why you would want one in the first place)
at least you can play edf6 in nipponese before it gets ported in 2024
>he bought a piss5
I still have too much to bother with selling mine. They need to port the MediEvil remake, FotNS Lost Paradise, The Last Guardian, Gundam Maxiboost, Wipeout Omega, both Gravity Rushes, Sakura Wars and Kyoei Toshi before I'll consider it. Plus I already have EDF 6 in the mail.
Looks like a whole bunch of kusoge.
I'd only say Kyoei Toshi is to a point, but Disaster Report with kaiju is just such a good concept and it's finally 60fps locked on a PS5.
how big are these games? 50 gb?
Yakuza 0: 26 GB
Yakuza Kiwami: 22 GB
Yakuza Kiwami 2: 40 GB
Yakuza 3 Remastered: 17 GB
Yakuza 4 Remastered: 24 GB
Yakuza 5 Remastered: 37 GB
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life: 35 GB
Judgment (Remastered): 30 GB (up to 33 GB)
Yakuza: Like a Dragon: up to 39 GB
Lost Judgment: up to 54 GB
Got all the info off my Xbox.
So I gotta ask, would RGG still need to pay licensing fees if they had Kimura "sing" a fragment of one of their songs in a shitty way?
I filter all tripgays so I hope you're not replying to me queer
But it was already available on youtube.
Glad I waited.
These games and maybe Bloodborne were the only reasons I considered getting a PS5. It looks like I have saved a good amount of money.
This kills the Johnny's
I've never found the video funny but HOLY FRICK KEK! JOHNNY'S STILL SEETHING!!!
Oh nice. I loved Judgement but didn't get Lost Judgement cause PS5. Would love to play it on the PC.
>but didn't get Lost Judgement cause PS5
But LJ is on PS4.
>but didn't get Lost Judgement cause PS5
I saw the graphical difference and load time difference. I was not going to play it on the PS4 pro since I was considering getting the PS5 eventually.
It is 2022, the PS5 is still out of stock and LJ is coming to PC first.
NTA but I did get the PS4 version and I couldn't stomach it, the performance was akin to shoving my fingers down my throat and vomiting my lunch and plugging it into a TV.
Did Kimuras agency get its head out of its ass?
Never played Judgement but loved the mainline Yakuza series. What's the "shtick" of these? Is it just a spinoff with a new, unrelated character?
Yes.
What years do these take place?
Current, so 2018 and 2021.
Judgment is 2018, it's after 6.
Lost Judgment is 2021, it's after 7.
Both games reference the games before them to a degree but LJ is the one that requires 7 to have happened and its events would lead to 8 happening whereas Judgment could be taken in a bubble.
Would I be spoiled for Yakuza 4-6 or is it just small references or nods?
Literally just one 6 substory is referenced, there's nothing about 5 or 4 in there.
No, but you'd be spoiled in the sense that Judgment is probably one of the best in the series
It references Judgment far more than mainline to be honest.
thanks anon, excited to try it out
good, it'll be on gamepass PC then?
>play judgment
>it's like a HERO cast reunion
last time I saw these two yagami was a prosecutor and kuroiwa was a lawyer
Yeah everyone knows that shut the frick up moron
Holy shit this spamming fricking Black person
Aren't you glad hiro changed the captcha!
LJ at $40 is fine, but I'm really hoping for the first game to be $20.
tbh I'd rebuy both games despite more or less finishing them within the past month if they sold them as a $60-70 double pack.
Amazon Luna made you pay full price for the LJ DLC so expect the same, I doubt they'll come individually.
>dumbasses still coming up with excuses why porting games on PC was a mistake
>2022
Uncharted and TLOU are about to be released on PC lmao
And then they wonder why nobody fricking likes them on Ganker.
Keep seething, it won't make PC market any less relevant
This isn't real. The actor's agency already said no. Unless somehow Sega gave them a lot of money or convinced them to stop being moronic this is a fake tweet.
https://www.esrb.org/ratings/36110/Judgment/
https://www.esrb.org/ratings/37805/Lost+Judgment/
Cope.
The ESRB listing is real, no need for the shitter middleman.

Either Sega worked something out with the agency or they replaced his model.
They won
This is what a peak inventory looks like before fighting Amon in Kiwami, you might not like it but this is peak performance
>not using Staminan Spark
shiggy diggy my niggy
are we getting these tomorrow since it's the RGG livestream? I would really hate to wait. They've probably had both ready to go for a long time now.
Was interested but theres a chapter dedicated to taking the cute dorky girl and turning her into a prostitute, dog shit fetish.
She just dresses up sexy to go undercover and get some information from a guy. She does not dress that way and she absolutely does not act that way after that scene
I've got moose fatigue
It unironically isn't a real Yakuza thread without him here
I don't care, I see him everywhere on stuff I like or I'm interested. He's copying me. He's a Black person.
Kek what? He's just being himself, you're not that important.
Shut up, I don't want your tripgay wiener breath anywhere near me
I thought the actor's talent agency was blocking the release.
Yakuza is a dog shit series. Judgement is even worse, because it's the same god awful gameplay with none of the memorable characters.
everyone shut up and post saori
AHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAH
>Gankertards really were ADAMANT that this game would never come out on PC
Still not playing as a fairy wearing skinny jeans. What kind of fricking man wears skinny jeans?
I do, I only wear skinny jeans. You probably think cargo shorts and sandals with socks are peak fashion.
>t. ranny
Only acceptable choices are regular fit jeans, chinos or suit trousers
I'm manly as frick and still look good in skinny jeans, sorry you were born with gender dysphoria and think you're a woman, YWNBAW.
>What kind of fricking man wears skinny jeans?
British chads.
Is this you?
https://gamefaqs.gamespot.com/boards/247615-judgment/79372479
What kind of man cares this much about what kind of jeans another (fictional) man is wearing?
Comparing Kimura Yagami to beta its obvious which one actually fits the character, and which was just for publicity.
His entire character arc was accepting what happened in his first trial, and he's supposed to be disorganized and unmotivated at the beginning of the story. Having the pretty boy in a girls leather jacket never really meshes with his character, and unironically bothered me most of the game.
Beta looks more unkempt, grittier, way better than what we got
What did Beta yagami look like?
Like this, it looked great in the video posted
Beta Yagami looks much better than Kimura imo
Sick and tired of these shitty facescanned celebs in games, they ruin all semblance of uniqueness and cause licensing and agency problems. Hopefully that bogged frick leaving means less celeb cameos in RGGS but allegedly Nanba is back for RGG8 so I'm not holding my fricking breath.
RGG's been doing this shit since Yakuza 3, mate. They're not gonna stop, and why would they? People love the characters and how they look.
I said I'm tired of the face scans you moron.
And I told you they're not gonna stop.
Kenzan actually.
I just can't imagine the game with this version, he looks like a pedo.
He doesn't, just needs to drop the stache
I can dig it, maybe with a little bit of tweaking. He definitely looks more like a guy playing loose with the rules than pretty scene boy Kimua.
Anyone outside the US and even a few people in the US who do have some sense of fashion.
Glad I waited.
>everyone complaining about bad performance
>tfw I played both games on PS5
>having a PS5
a PS5
It's pretty cool yeah
I like my ps5. It has games that aren’t all early access.
>It has games
The only Early Access game I ever bought was Prison Architect like 8 years ago.
>ps5
>having games
Same here and had a blast
>bragging about playing on PS5
>HAVING a PS5 at all
Based moron
same and based
too easy
>have best combat in series
>do not have a colosseum
what did we do to deserve such a fate
There is the gauntlet.
>Was just about to pull the trigger on the PS4 version
Remember the only reason it never came to PC was because Amazon cucked it and got exclusive rights to it?
What the frick? They convinced Johnny & Co. to actually greenlight this shit? What happened?
we'll find out tomorrow
I hope they just took him out of the game honestly.
We wait for tomorrow
>Amasawa
God, she was so hot.
Pick
uuuuh neat?
what's the game about again? like Yakuza but with a lawyer as mc?
Hokuto ga Gotoku too and I never have to buy a PS4.
Why couldn't they have just modified the MC's face to be somebody else? Like the Peter parker treatment on Spiderman PS4. Shit was always a non-issue to me.
Anyway, hope this is real. Would buy it on PC
FULLY MODELED
It's most likely a package deal to have the face and the voice. They didn't keep the OG Tanimura voice acting.
Finally I can get another godlike brawler combat that isn't K1 on PC.
Finally secondary troons can play the best game in the series.
But they aren't getting Kenzan though.
Finally people can play it modded, at 4k 120fps and almost no loading time
instead of listening to a jet engine take off at 720p
>He thinks the memelord side of the fandom is going to play Judgment when they've never played more than an hour of 0 that they bought for $3
Memeshitters and secondaries are the reason 7 was turn-based
Nah the reason is japanons giving too much praise to the april fools teaser and RGG thought people actually wanted it
Japs are tasteless creatures
Leave Lau Ka Long alone. Hasn't he endured enough? Dude got shot in the face and now he lives in a sewer.
neat. bought a ps4 copy in case it wasn't coming soon. extra for me then
Ishin remake what the frick?
It's apparently "too old" now.
Tomorrow, if they announce it I will regain my will to live.
they just did
WHERE
State of Play
WTF
The Absolute State of Play actually announced something good for once.
Wait so there's two versions of Ishin on PS4 now?
It looks like they are putting the assets into Dragon Engine for new light rendering
Unreal engine actually, I wonder if that means they've dropped the dragon engine
we'll find out for sure tomorrow when they show off 8 for the first time
if that's on unreal, that means it's probably gone
Dragon Engine is demanding going by PC ports.
At least the trailer is 4K 60fps.
I see they really want to rebrand Yakuza to Like a Dragon. Probably all new releases will now be called Like a Dragon. Why bother at this point? The brand is already well known in the west.
u wot
probably comes to PC 6 months-1 year after ps5
Hope not, they had 7 on all platforms for the WW release.
RGG Studio makes simultaneous releases now
I don't think I've ever experienced a positive version of the "nobody tell him"
WHERE IS IT, you better not be fricking with me
Ishin bros we fricking won!
>simp protagonist
yawn
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MY FRICKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD
That's literally what everyone asked them to do in 2014
cool
can't wait to pirate it since sega doesn't deserve any money
YEEEEEEEEEEEEES YES YES YEESYSYEYSYSYEYSYEYESYESYSYEYSYES
SAWA SENSEI
Wait what the frick but they are remaking Ishin, on the dragon engine, frick.
It looks like they're doing what they did with VF5, where it's the same gameplay, but with a new coat of paint over the whole thing using the DE.
That's good news, did they still keep the cancer DE ragdolls?
does this lighting look extremely fricked to anyone else?
No it's the nu-DE engine lightning which is pretty bad, I don't give a shit though this is fricking awesome man. ISHIN!
No
i just assumed it was because of the poor stream quality
his face is magically lit on both sides but not in the middle. I didn't know there are 2 moons in the sky. As amateurish as it get in game dev
HOLY SHIT
IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING
>dragon engine
I pray to god we don't get monkeys paw'd
Now do Kenzan

>Like a Dragon: Ishin is the first title from RGG studio to be built on Unreal Engine 4, bringing astounding graphical quality to the Like a Dragonfranchise. Developing on Unreal Engine 4 has unlocked new textures and other graphical details that make Ishin’sgripping story one of the most cinematic tales in RGG history.
>unreal engine 4
really? not even UE5?
I don't know whether to be happy or upset about UE4. On the one hand, no more shitty Dragon Engine and its awful performance, on the other, it is UE4. But I don't really fall for "engine bad" memes, there are shitload different games on UE4.
What the
Wait, wasn't the series killed because the agency of the actor who played the main character didn't want him on PC?
soooo is Yakuza coming to PC or not?
Is the change to UE4 bad?
EGS exclusive.
frick, you could be onto something
I was just fricking about. So far I don't think they even have a single Yakuza game and it's UE4, not 5.

>Like a Dragon: Ishin! launches on February 2023 for PlayStation®5, PlayStation®4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Windows, and Steam!
HAHA FRICK YOU
>a second too slow to see I was fricking about
Better luck next time anon.
Its coming to PC
LETS FRICKING WWWWWWWWWWWWWWW
We won't know until we see gameplay tomorrow.
it depends on the developer
they did a good enough job to trick me into thinking it's Dragon Engine with the lighting
This is the RGG team, they don't tend to have a good outing on their first game on a new engine so err on the side of caution. 5 is like the only exception and that's still sort of just a modified Kenzan engine.
>only tripgay I don't want waterboarded
Hope you're doing well, Moose.
I liked Onsokumaru and aceman too.
LESS THAN 12 HOURS LEFT TIL RGG'S DIRECT
>Playstation loses another game
fricking god
it's on Xbox and Stadia/Luna
Anon....
can't lose what wasn't yours in the first place or lost it over a year ago
I just a majima mod with his moves for these Judgment games
till then kiwami 2 for teh win
>no kenzan remaster
Don't get me wrong, I'm happy about ishin, but despite a script existing, nobody has bothered bringing out a patch for RPCS3. Let's hope they're working on it.
>nobody has bothered bringing out a patch for RPCS3
Because the only people trying it were using KHHSubs and his translation and trying to find people to help translate everything else since KHH himself only did specific options in the main story, none of the random NPC dialogue around town, and only like four substories total. You can read more from them
. They spent years having to deal with issue after issue cropping up. You can see their recent updates in

, and
.
release schedule will probably be
>judgment and lost judgment on PC: soon after it's revealed tomorrow
>ishin remaster: february 2023
>yakuza 8: late summer, early fall 2023
>kenzan remaster: between downtime of yakuza 8 and another judgement sequel
now that takuya's agency has let go of his ballsack, i'm sure judgment 3 will be happening in like late 2024
Thx
>(Yakuza 1 has horrible english dub however)
kill this arrogant mo. . .ther. . .fu. . .cker
Yakuza 0. Some people will tell you to save 0 until after 5 but they're actually moronic and wrong.
>Yakuza 0. Some people will tell you to save 0 until after 5 but they're actually moronic and wrong.
this is a shit take, start at 1
0
Kiwami (full remake of 1 with more modern gameplay)
Kiwami 2 (see above)
3 (remaster of a PS3 game so it will feel a bit more dated)
4 (see above)
5 (see above)
6
Judgement
7
Lost Judgement
Judgement games are standalone but Lost Judgement in particular can has things in it that spoil a very big moment in 7
this
is the guy I warned you about anon. Don't listen to him!
0 lasts way to long and has spoilers for 4
barely, by the time he gets to Y4 he'll have forgot all about the few references. I played 0 first and I knew more about what happened in Y4 from here than I did from Y0 and I played Y0 5 times in a row.
it spoilers all of saejima
eh...not really. You see some scenes from 5 and know that he's in jail but I don't recall it dropping entire plot points.
Did Lost Judgement fix being unable to "rotate" the map like in Yakuza games?
I believe so.
lost judgment is fricking garbage
nice finally something to play
Fricking finally. God bless you, Sega Europe.
sega of yurp is so much better than sega of muttland it's not even funny.
qft
Did they ever fix that dumb gang mechanic in Judgement 1?
No, the Remaster still has it at the same rate if I remember right. LJ doesn't have it but the Keihin Four are in it.
Yeah
no one gives a frick about judgeshit we're getting an Ishin remake
>Ishin remake
It's a port.
sure
Watch the trailer, the game looks almost identical. Seems like they upped the blood effects though.
So are they making a new protag?
