It's a good Mario Kart, but realistically what reason would you have to play Mario Kart solo on a handheld where you wouldn't rather play it on your Switch?
I played an absolute ton of MKDS, most of it vs the computer. Then again, I was autistic as fuck and so much better than any of my friends that I'd play holding my DS upside down to give them a chance and still won 90% of races. My absolute favourite Mario Kart.

tried modding my 3DS this week only to find out that the memory card I was going to use doesnt work. Guess it wasnt meant to be.

I was following the guide and got to the part where it said to insert the memory card into the DS but it didnt recognize it. The brand is ONN that I got from walmart, Got it on discount for $10

just tried a spare 64 sandisk I have and same issue came up. Im just gonna go format the DS now and see if that fixes the issue.

Well then it should work. Maybe ask the guys on emugen and see if they might know better than I? Honestly I just used a visual guide to hacking my 3ds outside of formating my sd card using the correct numbers for the unit size in guiformat.

The DS Pokemon games were the last great Pokemon games, in order from best to worst: HeartGold and SoulSilver>Platinum>Black 2 and White 2>Black and White, you can safely ignore Diamond and Pearl.
Also Mario & Luigi, both are good but Bowser's Inside Story is generally regarded as being better than Partners in Time.

Well, I do own a regular DS which I purchased a while ago to play pokemon white, it still works but never use it because I also own a 3DS, sure the DS is better for DS games to the surprise of no one but I rather just use the 3DS even for DS games.

It's true that the screen is vibrant but it's a lie that the screen is crisp. It fucking hurts my eyes reading on that screen. Playing games where not much reading is necessary is ok though. It's the kind of effect you get when you play inches in front of a CRT monitor where you can see each pixel diode.

the dsi xl is the best way of playing ds games, 1:1 scale, text looks sharp and clear, not small ass screen like ds lite, not blurry garbage like on 3ds

Trauma Center 1's first extra mission filtered the absolute fuck out of me. I thought I was hot shit until some tadpoles killed my patient in 10 seconds flat.
It's sad that no one ever talks about Trauma Team despite the game being quite interesting and competently made.
Trauma Team is just OK but the real shame is that we never got a full-blown Dr. Cunningham only game where it's basically House MD the visual novel/adventure game.
It was a decent enough game, but the series was perfect for the DS and the tactile feedback of working with a stylus. Wii controls never worked for me as well as the DS games did.
Which is why I also feel that MP3 was worse than 1&2 despite liking the idea of working with/killing other bounty hunters.
It's true that the DS games felt better and that the surgery part was the main game and the others felt a bit like tacked on minigames. However I wish there was something in the DS games that had broken up the surgery gameplay a little bit because these games completely killed your hands so you went "oh fuck here we go again" directly after the last surgery fucked you up and left you exhausted.
I feel you, but I don't know if I would have liked needing to be forced through an hour or two between surgeries. Every time I replayed it I dreaded the puzzle level. It wasn't difficult but it just was boring when I could be out lasering cancer spiders instead. Sometimes it's best to just have the video game be the video game.
Either way, great series that I'm liable to play this weekend.

Bomberman 2 gets a strong recommendation, nobody's mentioned it yet but easily the best Bomberman title on DS. Has really nice customisation mechanics.
