Gasoline does not effectively conduct electricity. These two weapons having no synergy is perfectly realistic.

Just make it so the gas passer lights people on fire permanently and can't be put out under any circumstances, not even by jumping in water. Infact, jumping in water should kill you, since RL gas fires can't be put out by water.
This, unfortunately despite what everyone says Valve balanced it for competitive 6v6 play.
Compfags won't even allow it's use in their leagues because they ban anything that make Pyro and Heavy viable because they like their meta it can be glitched through certain thin walls which comfags could easily just penalize the use of and it bounces oddly off certain walls like certain glass or the sliding doors in turbine SAME AS ROCKETS AND PILLS! But for some reason those two AND SIDEGRADES are allowed because it's the same glitch with stock weapons so Scout's Cleaver and Gas Passer have to be banned because glitching lol, meanwhile Beggar's Bazooka soldiers are glitching into the skybox in actual competitive games and it's considered fine lol.

Do you know how stupid it is to penalize something that can happen on accident? It's banned because it's buggy and adds nothing anyway since it's a worthless weapon. It would only ever be used to penalty troll. If the weapon was actually not completely worthless dogshit that you'd only ever equip to intentionally gimp yourself then they would consider whitelisting it.

It's a good weapon but it's not competitively viable, now why do you think the gas passer EVER would be if the cleaver isn't? Also in the case of the cleaver, throwing it through walls would actually be useful unlike the gas passer

The effect isn't even strong, no reason to fuck it over so much. If I had a choice I'd rather get hit by gas than by jarate 9 times out of 10. Hell, the effect is probably even worse than man milk

You don't understand. They whined about the scorch shot, got Darwins for it. If the gas passer ever gets usable, they'll whine again and get another item to negate the primary weapon of an close range ambushing class which they got ambushed by.
A sniper shouldn't be able to survive a pyro ambush.

Yeah basically. Better yet make it work with any status effect (without the bleed part) to make the cleaver more useful in general and still work with both the sandman and wrap assassin.
Personally I don't miss the sandman that much, the wrap assassin fills the void for me.

The problem with the jetpack is that you're giving up your entire secondary just for the jump.
The detonator on the other hand is still a flare gun even if you're not using it to jump.
i think there's a cool upgrade in mvm that lets you jetpack in the air if you have a charge ready.
