there's no such thing, or at least there wasn't back in the day, as "prudefags". They, if they can be identified as such, are a new convention here on the blue boards, here on Ganker in specific. It's true that there were always horny threads, even back in the day. But "prudefags" would be a reactionary schism of younger or newer members who find the "default" culture of the board to be too horny, because somehow social engineering is steering in the direction of anti-horny, let alone hedonism etc, and on a contrarian whim, engage every horny thread with hostility. You're right that it will be mostly newfags that complain about the coomer threads, but only really because the people that stick around just accept that there's nothing that's going to be done about it.

Not entirely true. Not all things get posted on booru or are able to be found through reverse image search. And no one is autistic enough (except me) to make sure that no single art/vid of my favorite pokemon gets lost in the Internet. There is something that already got lost, of course, but not much, and it doesn't mentally break me.

Maybe it's true for most threads, but I post arts of my favorite pokemon that are not in boorus yet - most of the time those rare arts I post are from Twitter and various sites that anon might never consider to check.
I also would argue with it, those threads exist to ensure popularity of their character or pokemon and convert those who are still unsure if they want to be romatically or sexually attracted to character/pokemon.
