nope
This might surprise you, but the 'medieval doofus' look appeals to some people more than the 'generic edgelord middle schooler' look.
>edgelord middle schooler look
Wat
I will not explain myself to people like you.
Then be quiet, tasteless oblivibabby.
>but the 'medieval doofus' look appeals to some people
Yes, people who grew up with it. Exclusively those people, but nonetheless.
Nope. Played it for the first time last year and I prefer it
>Played it for the first time last year
You're either lying or 12. I don't know which is worse. If it's neither then your opinion really is meaningless.
I accept your concession
>generic edgelord middle schooler
But that's based
Skyrim's armor is so fricking try hard.
Skyrim is such an ugly, colorless piece of garbage.
And Oblivion isn't ugly at all
Just look at these character models
Ugly but maximum sovl
If you don't like the oblivion character models something is wrong with your brain
>bad thing good haha am I right fellow redditors?
it's beautiful and timeless
The oblivion armor is actually designed in a way that makes sense. Morrowind and Skyrim sets are costumes; Oblivion is actual armor. It's smooth and all the edges are rounded in order to deflect blows. It has fully segmented joints for articulation and ease of movement. the helmet is rounded so that blows simply glance off it at an angle.
Garbage, broken game
Posting le chad face further invalidates your shitty opinion
Nice try, the police stopped taking his calls long ago.
based.
I always preferred Oblivion with guns.
it's obvious the developers didn't playtest the game. the level scaling system is horrible and there is even an npc in the imperial city which has a voice actor outtake in it's audio
>there is even an NPC in the imperial city which has a voice actor outtake in it's audio
Link? I vaguely remember something like this.
all it takes is simply talking to this NPC in the most major location in the game. which none of the developers did even once
Here's one of many
Not even being contrarian, Skyrim sucked so much fricking dick, I still haven't been able to complete that boring ass game
No you're definitely being a contrarian
>MUH LEVEL SCALINNGGGGGH AHHHHHHHHHHH I LITERALLY CAN'T EVEN!!!!
>why are you complaining about this mechanic that fundamentally ruins progression in this RPG
No anon, YOU are silly
>start a new file
>go immediately to the imperial city
>do all the available quest inside the city
>do the arena but stop before the champion so i can do his quest later
>go to the aelid ruin outside the prison
>enemies are damage sponges with enchanted weapons
stopped playing here
Just stop levelling up when you don't need to anymore
or use mods
Obliviongays seem to have a few things in common
>It was their first TES
>They were in their early teens (possibly younger) when they played it
>They tried Morrowind once but got filtered by Addamasartus
>Easily enteratined by bright, oversatured colours (similar to toddlers)
>Persistent brain damage
>>It was their first TES
>>They were in their early teens (possibly younger) when they played it
enteratined [sic] by bright, oversatured[sic] colours [sic] (similar to toddlers)
brain damage
I like all the Elder Scrolls games, each one has a unique thing going for it (and honestly, 99.999999% of the enjoyment I get is just walking around with Soule's music and seeing stuff) but damn you got me to a near tee. I didn't get filtered by Morrowind however
Still I like Oblivion the best cause it's got a goofy charm.
I haven't been able to finish a single Elder Scrolls because they're all boring & shit. ESPECIALLY Morrowind, or whatever your favourite Elder Scrolls is. That one ESPECIALLY.
Even naysayers cant deny it has the best Quests out of the big 3 games. Especially the Dark Brotherhoods
I was surprised to learn that characters from some games show up in others.
There are no good Elder Scrolls games. What went wrong with your life to still be playing this trash?
>tranime
shut up
Anime website
Reddit is a much bigger anime webstie than Ganker now
I cant post dicky on reddit.
of course you can, it's just Ganker but you don't get banned for being racist on there
I'm permabanned from reddit THOUGH
moron
Elder Scrolls games are just walking simulators with a bunch of unnecessary mechanics. If you attempt to play them for other qualities you fail. If you just walk around and explore stuff you'll get a much better experience.
Why would I not just load up google earth and walk around Japan instead?
>anime gif
opinion discarded
>not liking anime
Into the trash you go
>fast traveling straight to the quest marker
>kino
Nope, try again.
You could just not fast travel?
You could, unfortunately the questing system is largely designed around the devs expecting you to do so
Why would the devs care if you walk or fast travel to simulate walking?
Because they implemented fast travel in the first place
Prime example of this is the Fighter's Guild questline, a lot of which revolves around going between Chorrol and Leyawiin which are across the map from each other
>Source: I made it the frick up
they literally have horses in the game. When I first played oblivion I didn't even know fast traveling was a thing so I just didn't. I rode a horse everywhere.
They removed every other method of traversal.
Also walking to quest objectives makes it more noticeable how shit the quests are.
Genuinely the best TES game and one of the best RPG's of all time.Only valid criticisms I've ever heard are nitpicks or complaints about the graphics. True but overall inconsequential to the true majesty of TES4: Oblivion.
>nitpicks
If complaining about core game mechanics fricking the player over is a nitpick, then you're moronic
>nitpick post
Thanks for proving the rule
>Thinking any Bethesda game is considered "good"
Every single Bethesda game is adequate at best. Yes, even homosexual's and their precious Morrowind. Oblivion is probably the one I enjoyed the most because it's fricking funny and janky.
They are pretty much the peak of all vidya though?
Here's 200 septims, thanks for the laugh.
>popular thing bad
>Oblivion is probably the one I enjoyed the most
lol
opinion discarded
>He thinks Elder Scrolls is "good"
I bet you've never even bothered, out of curiosity, to try Arena, Daggerfall or Battlespire and Redguard. But by all means, keep thinking Morrowind is some incredible gem and how all of their later games are "shit", and "dumb downed", you poser.
Don't care. You can jerk off to yourself that you played Redguard.
These games are garbage, people just like the one they played first the most and think they can recapture that exact feeling in the other titles
The reality is that Skyrim is better in every single way. It took out a lot of the lame fluffed and boring aspects of oblivion and made a decent RPG combat game. I mean everybody b***hed because of the skills they took out but shit like acrobatics and athletics. That was all just fluff that really serve no purpose. A holdover from tabletop RPG games.
Skyrim sort of represents the next era of RPG games more refined more fine tuned. What little you lose in terms of immersion is made up for by the fact that the game is actually playable
Acrobatics would actually be good for traversal in Skyrim.
The attributes on the other hand don't matter at all. In Morrowind they had real purpose. Like Strength will affect your damage, while weapon skill affects your accuracy. Agility affects your evasion.
In Oblivion Strength and weapon skill both just add to damage. So Skyrim only having weapon skill doesn't really change much. Oblivion Agility is just Strength but for bows, and a minor (hardly noticeable) reduction to getting staggered.
How do *lves cope?
I dont like how Ganker is turning into a place for mediocre "content creators" to shill their trash.
>upset over nord gem
Mertroon
>Play game
>"yeah im having le fun and-"
>Enter new dimension that I need to complete in order to have fun again
>delete the game
My experience with this game.
Should I buy Morrowind and try it out, friends? I'm 29, don't enjoy video-games and would rather spend time with my cat.
No, just enjoy your cat
train your cat to play morrowind for treats
I'll see if he can be arsed
>YOU ARE THE DRAGONPORN
NO
>Hmm i want to play as a wizard
>which skills would i need the least?
>Lets spec into those obviously!
Obliviontards, beyond broken game
Skyrim was better.
>I'VE FOUGHT MUDCRABS MORE FIERSOME THAN Y-*HAGH!*
>*mogs all Elder Scrolls games*
nothing personnel, kid
Behold the armies of cyrodill
they're just behind that ridge
>fling spells into the battle with reckless abandon
>SOMEONE'S BEEN MURDERED
>Downloaded and installed morrowblivion
>Never played either of these games before
>Start out in morrowind
>get nearly half way down and head over to oblivion
>The game starts and picard is dead
>I get out of the sewers and have no idea where to go so I head into the first town I see
>Get bored and stop playing
>Never launch morrowblivion again
I legit had no idea what to do or where to go and I had no desire to go or do anything. The only winning move was not to play. Might go back and finish morrowind sometime though, the story was kind of neat.
>playing a shitty fangame rather than the actual thing
>shitty fangame
it's literally morrowind ported into oblivion, nothing fanmade about it. skywind is going to be more fanmade because they are redoing armor/enemies and adding voice acting
Too bad the shit level scaling makes the game unfun and no mod seems to fix the issue.
>skyblivion confirmed to be coming out before ES VI
it'll never get finished, no matter how many times they predict a release date
A classic
