I thought Capcom were all-in on PC as their primary platform. And if the Switch 2 is releasing early next year like some are speculating, they're not going to waste that opportunity for Sony.
Have the sales numbers come out for Rise per platform yet? I'm curious how well PC and the other systems did. I know Nintendo probably sold the most copies.
Sure but they like double dippers even more. So they delay pc for a couple months to exploit the most hardcore fans. Bonus benefit of giving them a some extra time to polish the pc version

I miss going on an expedition with 5 breakable pickaxes to farm whetstones to sharpen the weapons without having any indicator of how much sharpness it has left
The world feeling "alive" takes a back seat to what made Monster Hunter unique. No longer do you need to prepare for a hunt because normalfag heads would explode if they had even a bit of inconvenience. No longer is there a stark contract between the grim atmosphere of hunting a creature on its home turf and relaxing in the safe village. 5th gen MH is a boss rush simulator with a ton of safety nets for bad players. Infinite camp refills alone break the commitment and decision making of old gen. You actually need to think and commitment to the hunt thanks to limited bag space. MH is slowly losing its identity to appeal to casuals, Soulsmorons, and MMOfags.
And every time you say something they just shout "QoL! QoL!"

Why people are doubting the reveal at SoP?
We know the game is gonna be out at some point before April, and the only big event left this year is TGA all the way in mid december, way too late. If not now, then when?
Rise was announced at a fucking Direct Mini a week before TGS.
MH6 announced the "one more thing" at this SoP would feel the same.
Has it been confirmed from those leaks a while back that a new Monster Hunter is coming out next year? It’ll probably be revealed at the Tokyo game show most likely
If it's announced this year is gonna be now.
Even the shittiest SoP or crappiest Direct have more viewers than fucking Capcom Showcases. They are glorified ads with at best a trailer for an expansion. They won't announce what's potentially their biggest title ever in one of those.

Carrying ANYTHING from Rise.
actually believe MH6 won't be heavily based on World
I mean, that just kind of shows how little fans actually want world 2.0. I mean they butchered almost every mon.
after ff16 flopped I think it is unlikely any japanese publisher will release their big ips as ps5 exclusives, or even showcase them in state of plays. mh6 will be a switch 2 launch title
>my 3070ti + 12700k 32gb ram ddr4 3600 cl16 nvme ssd is a potato

Oh i just remembered, World introduced ability to restock mid hunt, remove that. I refused to restock in world.
I kinda miss the breaking pickaxes, bugnets etc, it doesnt really change much, but I enjoyed the feeling of prepping your bags before a hunt like a real adventure.
Honestly I can't even imagine how huge MH6 is going to be >MHW but bigger and better in every way >way more budget and dev time >giant fanbase already established >an actual properly planned post-launch support, unlike World, and probably bigger than IB and SB >releasing pc/xbox/ps day one with crossplay >if Switch 2 rumors are true, very likely to be ported there too >first fully next-gen Capcom game >one of the first truly major AAA games only next-gen >in a moment where people are starving for new multiplayer and especially coop experiences
This shit is gonna dwarf even World in terms of success. The long term sales during the whole generation are going to be insane
>>way more budget and dev time
Please no, MH doesn't work as a big budget title. Also if its on a switch successor that means it won't come out for like another two years and that version will be the best because it'll have the most features like rise.
I agree it will probably be better than World, but I doubt it will have as many sales. World came out at the perfect time and was marketed well to bring in normies.
just stop introducing gimmicks ffs. no clutch claw, no wirebugs, hell not even a slinger. just a hunter, armor and weapons. why is it so much to ask for? just expand on switch skills since thats like the only good gimmick this series has introduced
The concept of styles is cool, it's an easy way to add ""more weapons"" without having to create 999 new models. It's just that styles in GU were retarded.
Please give us the Iceborne horn for Monster Hunter 6 I didn't like the Rise Horn that much
I want the WORLD hunting horn, Iceborne ruined it. It became L2 spam.
the problem with underwater combat was that it tried to be "realistic" by slowing things down. this made it a punishment, when it should feel more like a reward.
since player movesets have already been getting more 'anime' in gen, world, and rise, they should bring underwater back but have player movesets become even faster and more 'anime' in underwater. throw out realism entirely and make it a cool, fun, bonus stage where both the player and the monster are stronger.
'realistic' underwater combat will never be more fun than fighting on the ground, so the solution is to simply not try to make it so.
I feel like difficulty in gen6 will be higher.
Both World and Rise were baby's first MH for their respective audiences.
Now they have existing playerbases, they can go a bit harder
Despite what some people claim, Souls games are RPGs. If you build your character well and bring the right tools to a fight, you can get by any challenge without too much effort.
Monhun is an action series and even bringing the right gear bad players *will* be hard gated by their lack of skill past a certain point.
Of course, both have coop to let you get carried, but even there Elden is easier because its bosses are much worse at handling multiple players than Monhun mons are.
>Anomaly Research >Let's make expeditions from 4. >But somehow even worse. >And you can't capture them at all so you can't speed up farming
Fucking hell.
My number one hope for any new monster hunter:
Never bring back the stupid fucking dangos. They had such amazing looking food in MH:World, then we went to whatever the fuck dango's are. Fuck dangos and fuck you if you like them.
this, also if they keep the buddy system please let us change our palico type, had to retire the palico I created because it wasn't the most useful type
I hope that they implement the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 as a new weapon class
Lol it will be a multiplat revealed at TGS. Capcom won't pull a square enix
Nobody said it's gonna be an exclusive retard
Not that anon but Sony could pull the temporary exclusivity like Nintendo did with Rise. I hope it's multiplat on release.

I don't care what they do, just bring back how Lance felt in World for the love of god.
Bring him back just so i can have his armor again.
just stop introducing gimmicks ffs. no clutch claw, no wirebugs, hell not even a slinger. just a hunter, armor and weapons. why is it so much to ask for? just expand on switch skills since thats like the only good gimmick this series has introduced
Styles were better imo. Alchemy was so much fun
The concept of styles is cool, it's an easy way to add ""more weapons"" without having to create 999 new models. It's just that styles in GU were retarded.
I want the WORLD hunting horn, Iceborne ruined it. It became L2 spam.
Nah IB horn was perfection. Nothing spammy about it.
>Expectations?
World 2
>Hopes?
World 2, but without retarded gimmicks and design decisions (unlimited restocking, mantles, perma lifesteal, skill powercreep, sliding, clutch claw...)
>Fears?
Rise 2
>World 2, but without retarded gimmicks and design decisions
That's an oxymoron. World is like 95% retarded gimmick.
Wonder if this one will look worse than World too.
Nothing can look as bad as world.
the problem with underwater combat was that it tried to be "realistic" by slowing things down. this made it a punishment, when it should feel more like a reward.
since player movesets have already been getting more 'anime' in gen, world, and rise, they should bring underwater back but have player movesets become even faster and more 'anime' in underwater. throw out realism entirely and make it a cool, fun, bonus stage where both the player and the monster are stronger.
>I feel like difficulty in gen6 will be higher
If they want the world player base then it can't be.
People say this but then Elden Ring sells 20m copies in a year
Bold of you to assume ER is difficult.
Harder than most MH for sure
World maybe
Malenia was harder than anything in SB including SI, and that thing was in day one, didn't have to wait 2 years after game releases for it
>Malenia was harder than anything in SB
Eh, not really maybe MR Kulu.
>Of course, both have coop to let you get carried
Or just bring two followers to trivialize everything
Followers don't do much damage.
Rise 2 when?
Unironically 2027
Don't like switch skills on principle
Every weapon should have ONE unchanging moveset
simple as
Just in time
>Anomaly Research
>Let's make expeditions from 4.
>But somehow even worse.
>And you can't capture them at all so you can't speed up farming
Fucking hell.
Grindy as fuck, i stopped at 250, too grindy and too hard Monsters hits like trucks and are sponge damage.
Sony already said its gonna be focused on game that were already announced. MH6 announcement is gonna be at TGS.
Not until TGS retard
My number one hope for any new monster hunter:
Never bring back the stupid fucking dangos. They had such amazing looking food in MH:World, then we went to whatever the fuck dango's are. Fuck dangos and fuck you if you like them.
this, also if they keep the buddy system please let us change our palico type, had to retire the palico I created because it wasn't the most useful type
