I'll always appreciate how dedicated Sunshine is to having it's level design be a part of the scenery to the point that there aren't any Marioisms like floating blocks in the main stages (Well a couple but very rarely). Sure it means blander levels but the series lost all interest from me when it started catering to the bing bing wahooers who just wanted every level to be a floating obstacle courses to feed their ADHD (Until Odyssey and even that has shades of it)
There are the usual complaints like the overabundance of blue coins, the level design, etc., but of course the major problem with Sunshine is FLUDD, which is a solution to a problem that didn't exist. Seriously, with as incredibly well received as Super Mario 64 was, it's crazy that Nintendo felt like it needed to introduce this "jetpack" thing to "help" with 3D platforming. It's equally telling that we've never seen it since. Maybe if the game wasn't so terribly rushed we could have gotten more of the cut nozzles that would have potentially justified it, but it's just not good in its current state.
its a mario game so that goes without saying
It's Mario on vacation. Had some incredible levels, especially Rico Harbor.
It's worth more than your entire lineage.
Let me guess... it's your first Mario game?
Why yes, is it that obvious?
My first Mario game was SMB1, in 1991. So no.
Your lineage is being a fat cuck
Yep.
I like it.
It's the comfiest Mario game.
It's only bad because there's not enough game on it, when it's good it's the best 3D mario and it's not even close
>when it's good
it's never good, the level design is always terrible
It’s good you just got filtered.

It's a symptom of the gamecube as a whole, that entire console generation was full of weird nintendo experiments.
Atmosphere is off the charts, and it's a very difficult 3D Mario.
Yes but nostalgia for playing it at a Walmart GameCube kiosk in 2003 though
Let's be honest.
