Genshin doesn't have dynamic character shading. Screenshots look great, but the actual models only have a lit/unlit mode. With BotW you can have Link stand half in the shade and half of his model will be shaded.
Kek they really did just copy paste the world but removed towers and shrines even the trees are in the exact same spots. There is a weird looking tower thing in the bottom left though.

Playing BotW at launch is one of my most cherished gaming experiences ever. After completing the game I came back here and sure enough shit was being sprayed up the walls in about 10 different threads at every hour of the day.

The shrines were like 80% of the content in BOTW, removing them is pretty big.
