All good OP, Johto is part of Kanto since they need to use Kanto's Elite Four. Might as well say Johto badges are Kanto badges since both are part of the same league.
What about Misty? Erika? Brock (sorta)? None of these were earned and Ash was kinda getting clapped in those gym battles until the activation of plot convenience (although Ash did surprisingly well against Giovanni's regular team).
Overall, Ash only earned like 4 gym badges in total. It's no wonder that Charizard didn't respect him.
>Pewter
Yes. Sprinkler system is Brock's responsibility and Brock's siblings interference should have been a DQ in Ash's favor anyway. >Cerulean
Yes.
Was winning despite a handicap when the match was interrupted. >Saffron
No. Should have been disqualified for outside interference, Haunter "beat" Sabrina while explicitly not being on Ash's team. >Celadon
Probably not.
Earning the badge through heroics is fine, but very sketchy considering how he helped cause the problem in the first place by helping criminals enter the gym. >Viridian
Yes.
Was actively cheated against yet managed to turn it around and win. >Vermillion, Fuchsia, Cinnabar
Yes.
No question
>He would win Celadon without the interference too,
>Brock
The fight was stupid but he was winning but due to Brock’s siblings interference yeah it was deserved. Still dumb that he only used Pikachu tho >Misty
He was winning till TRio interfered >LT. Surge
It was deserved >Erika
He was winning. Weird that this is the second fight with TRio interference >Sabrina
This was stupid so no >Koga
Yeah as anti climatic as that fight was >Blaine
Yes >Giovanni/TRio
Given that they were constantly cheating yes.
>He was winning.
He wasn't, at all. He was actually losing quite bad.
Tangela beat Bulbasaur(paralysis was basically a KO in the anime back then), and was then recalled for Weepinbell, which Charmander beat. Charmander then lost to Gloom.
It was 2-1 Erika, with Ash already sure he'd lose. >If Gloom beats Charmander, what Pokémon can I use next? >Squirtle, Pidgeotto and Pikachu couldn't take that terrible smell. >Chu! >Pikachu? >Pika. >You're saying you want to battle? >Pikachu. >You know you're probably going to lose, but you're still willing to battle Gloom to help me out? >Pika, pika! >What? You say you're sure you'll win?
And then the battle gets interrupted.
>Brock
The fight was stupid but he was winning but due to Brock’s siblings interference yeah it was deserved. Still dumb that he only used Pikachu tho >Misty

Checking those badges, Gary defeated Brock (or one of his brothers pretending to be him), Misty (or one of her sisters, Sabrina, and even Dr Blaine. But who are the other 6 leaders? I imagine the one loking like a piramid must be Ground, and the little yellow blob must be Ghost. What about the other 4?
He beat Erika, not Sabrina. Sabrina was never beaten by anybody in the anime fairly iirc. Even that Marowak guy who had the badge was shown fighting a Hitmonlee meaning he beat the dojo.
So, Gary fought the dojo before Sabrina took over.
Wow, I though Sabrina had a long time being a Gym Leader, but I think she had the gym for, like, 2-3 months? Time is hard to measure on cartoons.
Fun fact: Adventures Red never got all 8 gym badges. >Brock
He won the same stupid way Ash did arguably worse since Pikachu blew up Onix with his electricity >Misty
She was beating his ass and Red realized he was outmatched. So the 2 of them trained for a while he gave him the badge out of respect >LT Surge
Never was a gym battle. He was fighting for his life and Surge dropped it when he was defeated >Erika
She was beating his ass. But it was a test to see if he’d give up or not so she gave it to him >Koga
He didn’t fight him in a gym battle. He and Blue teamed up to fight him. Red took the badge after the battle was done >Sabrina
He never fought her. Green did and defeated her to steal the badge. Then she decided to trade it to Red for a moon stone. >Blaine
Never fought. They worked together to stop Mewtwo. Not sure if he got the Badge as a result or not >Giovanni
The battle was for his freedom. Even after defeating him he never took the badge
Turns out that you don’t need 8 gym badges to enter the Pokémon league.
>Never fought. They worked together to stop Mewtwo. Not sure if he got the Badge as a result or not
Red got the badge before that, when he tried to protect Moltres from Team Rocket. He failed, but Blaine gave him the badge anyway
Nah, he did beat Koga and beat Surge and Blaine both on the rematch. He also genuinely beat Jesse & James for the 8th (although if Giovanni was there to fight that out, he probably wouldn't have done so well).
>Ash Kanto Medals.png
>is the johto badges
wut
>wasn't around for the glory of purposefully misnamed filenames
Not what's happening old gay plus that's always been a thing
I mixed up which image I saved and now this thread is meaningless

You are a grown ass man that should be working to support a family while the same thread should have been made by your son, not you.
Anyone whose son is on /vp/ has failed as a father
but he won johto badges fair
There's no way anyone could've beaten Sabrina or Giovanni fair and square.
Sabrina was a cheater though.
How haven't league officials fired Sabrina or had her arrested?
You'd think someone would tip them off about the turning trainers into dolls thing.
Giovanni could be defeated if he didn't have Mewtwo that day. Sabrina looked too skilled, though Ash was a rookie at the time.
What about Misty? Erika? Brock (sorta)? None of these were earned and Ash was kinda getting clapped in those gym battles until the activation of plot convenience (although Ash did surprisingly well against Giovanni's regular team).

How is he pinning the badges if theres nothing on the other side of the jacket? Are they glued?
Sewn into the lining!
Sounds too complicated for a 10 year old, but maybe Brock did it?
Could be
Maybe theres a layer of nothing between the inside and outside.
Safety pins don't go all the way through.

He would win Celadon without the interference too, it's the same situation as Misty's.
>He would win Celadon without the interference too,

Did Gary deserve these?
gary spoiling dark and steel types in advance

Adventures Red won them in almost the same stupid way and nobody complaints, so yes since if that's fair this is too.
Actually, I don't think Spe Red got any Badges other than Boulder, Cascade and Rainbow
Most of his fights against Gym Leaders were unofficial
Fun fact: Adventures Red never got all 8 gym badges.
>Brock

Yeah, in PokeSpe the Badges are to skip the preliminaries, if I remember correctly
>He was fighting for his life and Surge dropped it when he was defeated
Wait the posted American died?
No he just got electrocuted by Zapdos’ thunder attacks
Ah, okay. Figures that Surge wouldn't die, he's apart of the best branch 😛
t. Airforce brat
>Never fought. They worked together to stop Mewtwo. Not sure if he got the Badge as a result or not
Red got the badge before that, when he tried to protect Moltres from Team Rocket. He failed, but Blaine gave him the badge anyway
Nobody gives a shit about the manga
Weren't all his gym victories in kanto consolation prizes at most?
Nah, he did beat Koga and beat Surge and Blaine both on the rematch. He also genuinely beat Jesse & James for the 8th (although if Giovanni was there to fight that out, he probably wouldn't have done so well).
Speaking of things both the anime and PokeSpe did
It's funny that they both chose two of the same Gym Leaders to make more antagonistic
