I like exploring the levels, anticipating where the traps are, luring the enemies out so I don't have to fight them all at one time. Stuff like that. Doesn't require me to spend an afternoon memorizing patterns and tells.
If you like soulslikes but use summons to trivialize every fight, you don't like souls games
Only if you make it that way. It typically features summonings, magic, long range builds, super tanky no flinch builds, etc. There is no right or wrong way to play a game, as long as you are using the systems the devs put in place.
I felt great after beating Balteus, but I still resent the nights I had to put into it. Not a Soulslike, I know, but same concept, the more time spent beating a boss, the less time I have left to play the rest of the game or go about my life.
I beat the kings flame yesterday, it feels a bit stiff at times but fun game so far. How are my strength bros doing I’m using the starting sword at +3 and 24 strength and it’s doing pretty well once you get used to the timings. Also fuck the survivor that was a retarded fight
>needing summons for Bloodborne
I get doing it on Rom and Ebrietas because those are cancer, but the majority of boss fights in that game are fucking jokes.
Bloodborn is you go in, fuck em up, take a hit or two, and your melee heals it back. This game looks exactly like that without the melee heal, looks unfun as fuck.
Elden Ring is actually way more difficult now that they nerfed everything remotely powerful multiple times over. Lies of P is harder than early Elden Ring but not the current version.
Elden Ring is only difficult early on though and Malenia, depending on your build. The start of the game, the first time you play, feels like shit because of the non-linear stat increases for vigor. Once you have a decent amount of levels in VIG and you get either decent talismans or armor, you're practically unkillable except in PvP and if you just completely fumble a boss fight.
The final string of bosses is really tough now because they're the same but your weapons have all been nerfed heavily. The original version of those fights was basically "OP vs OP" but now you can't be OP anymore.
>man, I fucking hate that this single player game doesn't let you summon other players or hold your hand through bosses >didn't play sekiro
opinion discarded
On the one hand, I wish more Soulslikes also had the co-op invasion mechanics of actual Souls games. Helps with the longevity of the game.
On the other hand it's always funny when it gives away which Fromsoft fans always use summons to get through the games when they start complaining about difficulty in a game with no summons (this was especially hilarious when Sekiro was released and people actually had to acquire proficiency).
>jester award
A shame, I like Soullikes but I dislike banging my head against a brick wall all night long.

I disagree.
>I dislike banging my head against a brick wall all night long.
That's literally what the entire Souls genre is.

That's the best part of boss oriented games though? Finally winning after struggling for a while is euphoric

Based LoP filtering out gankshitters
I'd play if the protagonist wasn't a lilywhite twink
I just can't believe someone named their game Lies of P

Don't upgrade the starting sword, there's a straight upgrade in the factory and another one later
If you can't cheese the boss while it's killing your spectre, you might just be too dogshit at videogames to play this
FUCKING KEK and he never mentions sekiro is just gravy
>game is trash because i have to play it myself and not recruit random strangers to beat it for me
>needing summons for Bloodborne

dafuq?
Rally is almost worthless
And Lies does have a melee heal
It has a melee heal retard anon
It literally does have a rally mechanic, and you can even recover grey health by perfect blocking in addition to attacking.
>tfw you didn't play the game
Bloodborne is unironically easier. Ranged parry is OP.
It bothers me when people use "both" to list more than two things.

I beat Elden Ring again like a week ago. I really don't think that's the case. Maybe I just used the wrong weapons.

Does Lies of P have multiplayer to begin with?
If you need summons you have literally never beaten a souls game in your life and your opinion on this matter means nothing
you didnt beat the game after the patch.
>summoning someone else to defeat all the hard bosses for you
You did not win that game. That other guy solo'd her. Live in shame with the TRUTH of P.

There are NPC summons.
You have one for the second boss fight.
It legit makes it 25-50% easier.
