Don't worry, Xbox hub gave it a 9 and Xbox Era gave it a 9.5 to hype it up because it's a day 1 GP release so it's still getting a bonus. Anyway, 80~ is an interesting score because it means there's no mass appeal so it can be niche enough for some people to love it. I'm looking forward to checking it out but I'm worried that PC gamer might be on the nose and it's kinda eh and I'll end up replaying Bloodborne next month because it'll make me want to play the same thing but better after I finish it. But it should be cool for a playthrough regardless.

From what i've seen in the demo DEX builds are absolutely fine. Rapier has built in movement abilities which were super fucking strong.
There's also a subject of unique weapons. No fucking way Proof of Humanity is not a dex weapon and it seems utterly ridiculous in strength

It pulls it off fairly well from what i've seen. Even has guns that don't feel worthless.
Steel Rising is such a soulful game hampered by its shoestring budget. It has a better world and exploration than say Thymesia. But unlike Thymesia it fails in the satisfaction you get from the combat. While some enemies are fucking fantastic (Edwards Scissor hands guys) the weapon’s especially the fucking wheels feel so whack. I did love the metroidvania aspects of getting around but even that had its clunky moments. I hope Spiders goes back the drawing board because by the time I got to versailles I was loving the experience but god damn was that game clunky. Hopefully Lords of the Fallen also pushes the genre forward. These games can be made on a budget but the underlying combat HAS to feel impactful. You can’t skimp on that. Lucky I played the Lies demo and the combat was fucking awesome. Perfect blocking feels so good.

The bosses are kinda uninspired, they could've gone off the rails with puppets, but there hasn't been anything that has stuck with me. They're mostly decent fights though, none of them were like "WOW THIS IS THE HARDEST THING I'VE EVER FOUGHT" As for the maiden, she's also alright, she's obviously hiding something, so i'm not sure what her part is in the story

For me personally I put AC6, RE4R, BG3, Hifi Rush, FF16 and TotK all above Starfield so I guess technically it's not even in my top 5 so far this year. Wo Long is a close call but I think I'd give the edge to Starfield. Starfield is not a bad game by any means but it's been a pretty good year for games if you actually play them yourself.

I did, it had some awesome set pieces and the best spectacle fights I've seen in ages. I also enjoy MMO style gameplay loops, which is why I enjoy Starfield because the core gameplay of teleporting around to pick up quests is very similar and half the time when I fast travel to a new system there's a brand new quest for me to pick up as soon as I enter as I intercept some distress call. If you like Starfield, there is a good chance that you will like FF16 if you actually play it. The inverse is true too for Snoys needlessly hating on Starfield, if they liked 16 they'd most likely enjoy Starfield. Basically, you're being tribalistic and dumb. Embrace idort life, stop being mad about games existing on competing platforms and stop trying to defend your platform of choice constantly.

It's okay, I dont think it's anything spectacular. You can say it's a Protomen game and use your weird arm mega buster
the scaling from what i've encountered so far is just +1 to that stat, so you'd get from D scaling on dex to C or C to B. I'm not sure how viable it is, but I've been using dex. While parrying is much more efficient you can absolutely just block the non-red hits and attack fast with your light weight weapon and regen the health back.

I've played Demon's Souls through Elden, Salt and Sanct, the Remnant games, The Surge games. While i do enjoy my time with some of them, some of them are also really bland, i'll leave that up to you to decide on which. I'm enjoying my time with the game, though one of my gripes is how combat starts to open up when you level your P-Organ. I do understand not giving you everything from the start, but quick get ups and dodge chaining are things i'd like to have before like 4 or 5 bosses in.
