Funnily I never really figured out Shin's weakness in Judgment and just got lucky, I think you have to switch between Tiger and Crane according to his beat saber color though.
Meanwhile with Juzo it was really obvious you just had to chain different heat moves once the lasers and stun cars start dropping

You use the same type of style to absorb Heat and then you switch to the other side, go into EX Burst, and attack him. Getting hit on the opposite of what he is causes you to take massive damage and is an instant death outside of EX Burst so you use EX Burst for high damage and because you get a several second grace period when it wears off for you to swap styles.
You can also avoid the phone steal if you get through phase 1 fast enough which can be done with Flux Fissure meaning you don't need to worry about your hotkeys, but if it happens the Rejuvenation Extract is all you really need for the whole fight.
This looks like one of the more fun ones to platinum. Nice

The difference being that the Yakuza series has been consistent in quality, while FF has been a train wreck for two decades now.
16 was good if you play it like a boomer instead of a dumb zoomer that goes from main quest objective to main quest objective. You have to talk to NPCs that aren't marked on the map to get full on cutscenes explaining shit and they're not permanent, you can miss them once the map changes due to events and some require you to have completed quest chains to get that dialogue. You have to do all the quests in general because all the good ones are chains that start early on and then have good pay off at the end.
It's the ultimate zoomer filter game, fake RPG gamers hate it. Even the MMOfags will go do every quest and at least see the payoff there, even if they miss the extra cutscene that only RPG boomers will see.

You can skip 4 and 5, the only relevant games for TMWEHN are 3 and 6. You can play 6 without playing 4 and 5 since 90% of the plot revolves around new characters. Just don't skip 3, since there is a crucial plot point to the rest of the series.

You also don't get to know Akiyama and Taiga (I don't even remember if he appears), but they are not that important to the plot, you just need to know that Kiryu trusts them.
The kids and the orphanage. Knowing that they exist is not enough, you need to play the game to get to know each, name, personality, and taste, to be emotionally invested. They are the most important thing in Kiryu's life from this point forward, remember that Kiriu was also an orphan and this was supposed to be his retirement/life's project.

I know this is bait, but Gaiden runs on the Dragon Engine, and it was very well optimized by the time RGG got to Lost Judgment, so we can expect similar performance in this game on old gen consoles, i.e, constant 30 FPS with very rare frame drops
on the other hand, Ishin Kiwami was a side project made on the Unreal Engine so the new blood in RGG could get some experience with developing games in that

Mixed, some reviews say the shorter timeframe means a lot of the new side characters are underdeveloped, some say the side characters are the best the series has had, some say the story is ridiculous even by Yakuza standards, some say it's the most compelling Yakuza story since 0. I feel like the more negative comments are the more honest ones, I read one review that basically tore into how dumb the premise of the story is since it contradicts Yakuza 6's ending and the stakes are dumb and don't facilitate the plot (Kiryu has to keep his identity hidden or else they'll kill/kidnap the morning glory kids, so they send him, the most recognizable Yakuza member to ever exist, to Omi territory, which would have people who would absolutely know who he is)

Actually reading all the longer reviews the general consensus is that the game plays it really safe, doesn't really bring anything new to the table and really is only meant to be an appetizer for 8 that you can probably skip and not miss anything but it's not like you'll regret the purchase. I'm willing to trust the more negative reviews more than the reviews that just suck the game's dick because I feel like they'll say things that the good reviews won't. Like how substories lose some of their fun by being relegated to a checklist menu rather than something you'll naturally come across walking around the map, how the game's combat sections arbitrarily place 30 enemies who all die in like 2 hits, how the trailers pretty much tell the entire story(apparently one of the trailers literally just shows the full ending scene), and how the only truly worthwhile part is the coliseum
