Lilligant will probably be decent in the sun, but there are far better sun options now. It's a little harder to justify putting Lilli on a team.
After You + Torkoal will never not be fashonable.
Hisuian Lilligant does that better since she's faster.

why does Lilligant have the stats of a fast frail special attacker when it's movepool is pretty much only status moves? who the fuck would use something that only learns Grass, Bug, and Normal type moves on an offensive pokemon? oh yeah, and it gets Dream Eater which isn't reliable

That is the entire reason for Liligant's existence. Once it is on a roll, even suboptimal attacking types aren't that big of a hindrance.
Weather Ball is a godsend, though. But would have been better 5 years ago, before Liligant got pretty heavily powercrept.
even other Quiver Dance users have better movepools than Lilligant
And I think all of them are bug type too unless that changes.

i agree with you anon but in the context of being an actually good mon which was the entire point of this thread, it's always going to be worse than hisuian so weather ball just doesn't really do it any favors.
Hisuian Lilligant is cooler.

Turns into a fire type attack in the sun and Lilligant can have Chlorophyll as an ability for speed.
Also technically this means she also has a water and an ice type attack in the other weathers.
It's literally the only halfway decent coverage Lilligant gets.
